GreekἈμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὁ μὴ εἰσερχόμενος διὰ τῆς θύρας εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τῶν προβάτων ἀλλὰ ἀναβαίνων ἀλλαχόθεν ἐκεῖνος κλέπτης ἐστὶν καὶ λῃστής·
Gnostic Translation«In verità, in verità io vi dico: chi non entra nel recinto delle pecore dalla porta, ma vi sale da un'altra parte, è un ladro e un brigante.
Orthodox Reading«Truly, trulyⓘ: whoever does not enter the sheepfoldⓘ by the door, but climbs in by another way, is a thief and an armed rebel, a biryōnⓘ.

Gnostic TranslationIl guardiano gli apre e le pecore ascoltano la sua voce: egli chiama le sue pecore, ciascuna per nome, e le conduce fuori.

Greek⸀ὅταν τὰ ἴδια ⸀πάντα ἐκβάλῃ, ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν πορεύεται, καὶ τὰ πρόβατα αὐτῷ ἀκολουθεῖ, ὅτι οἴδασιν τὴν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ·
Gnostic TranslationE quando ha spinto fuori tutte le sue pecore, cammina davanti a esse, e le pecore lo seguono perché conoscono la sua voce.

Greekἀλλοτρίῳ δὲ οὐ μὴ ⸀ἀκολουθήσουσιν ἀλλὰ φεύξονται ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ, ὅτι οὐκ οἴδασι τῶν ἀλλοτρίων τὴν φωνήν.
Gnostic TranslationUn estraneo invece non lo seguiranno, ma fuggiranno via da lui, perché non conoscono la voce degli estranei».

Gnostic TranslationAllora Gesù disse loro di nuovo: «In verità, in verità io vi dico: io sono la porta delle pecore.

Greekἐγώ εἰμι ἡ θύρα· δι’ ἐμοῦ ἐάν τις εἰσέλθῃ σωθήσεται καὶ εἰσελεύσεται καὶ ἐξελεύσεται καὶ νομὴν εὑρήσει.
Gnostic TranslationIo sono la porta: se uno entra attraverso di me, sarà salvato; entrerà e uscirà e troverà pascolo.

Greekκαὶ ἄλλα πρόβατα ἔχω ἃ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τῆς αὐλῆς ταύτης· κἀκεῖνα ⸂δεῖ με⸃ ἀγαγεῖν, καὶ τῆς φωνῆς μου ἀκούσουσιν, καὶ ⸀γενήσονται μία ποίμνη, εἷς ποιμήν.
Gnostic TranslationE ho altre pecore che non provengono da questo recinto: anche quelle io devo guidare. Ascolteranno la mia voce e diventeranno un solo gregge, un solo pastore.
Orthodox ReadingI have other sheep that are not of this foldⓘ: those also I must lead. They will hear my voice and will become one flock, one shepherdⓘ — the one Davidic Shepherd, the Messiah (Mašiaḥⓘ) awaited.

Gnostic TranslationPer questo il Padre mi ama: perché io do la mia vita, per poi riprenderla di nuovo.

Greekοὐδεὶς ⸀αἴρει αὐτὴν ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ, ἀλλ’ ἐγὼ τίθημι αὐτὴν ἀπ’ ἐμαυτοῦ. ἐξουσίαν ἔχω θεῖναι αὐτήν, καὶ ἐξουσίαν ἔχω πάλιν λαβεῖν αὐτήν· ταύτην τὴν ἐντολὴν ἔλαβον παρὰ τοῦ πατρός μου.
Gnostic TranslationNessuno me la toglie: io la do da me stesso. Ho il potere di darla e il potere di riprenderla di nuovo. Questo è il comando che ho ricevuto dal Padre mio».
Orthodox ReadingNo one takes it from me: I lay it down of my own accordⓘ. I have the power to lay it down and to take it up again: this is the command received from the Fatherⓘ».
