Μὴ ταρασσέσθω ὑμῶν ἡ καρδία· πιστεύετε εἰς τὸν θεόν, καὶ εἰς ἐμὲ πιστεύετε.
Non sia turbato il vostro cuore. Abbiate fede in Dio e abbiate fede anche in me.
Let not your heart be troubledⓘ. Have faith in God and also in me.

ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ τοῦ πατρός μου μοναὶ πολλαί εἰσιν· εἰ δὲ μή, εἶπον ἂν ὑμῖν ⸀ὅτι πορεύομαι ἑτοιμάσαι τόπον ὑμῖν·
Nella casa del Padre mio vi sono molte dimore. Se no, vi avrei detto: Vado a prepararvi un posto?
In my Father's house there are many dwelling placesⓘ. I go to prepare a place for youⓘ.

καὶ ἐὰν πορευθῶ ⸀καὶ ἑτοιμάσω ⸂τόπον ὑμῖν⸃, πάλιν ἔρχομαι καὶ παραλήμψομαι ὑμᾶς πρὸς ἐμαυτόν, ἵνα ὅπου εἰμὶ ἐγὼ καὶ ὑμεῖς ἦτε.
Quando sarò andato e vi avrò preparato un posto, verrò di nuovo e vi prenderò con me, perché dove sono io siate anche voi.
I will come again and take you to myselfⓘ, so that where I am you also may be.

καὶ ὅπου ἐγὼ ὑπάγω οἴδατε ⸂τὴν ὁδόν⸃.
E del luogo dove io vado, conoscete la via.
Of the place where I go, you know the way.

λέγει αὐτῷ Θωμᾶς· Κύριε, οὐκ οἴδαμεν ποῦ ὑπάγεις· ⸀πῶς ⸂δυνάμεθα τὴν ὁδὸν εἰδέναι⸃;
Gli disse Tommaso: «Signore, non sappiamo dove vai; come possiamo conoscere la via?».
Thomasⓘ: «We do not know where you are going; how can we know the wayⓘ?».

λέγει αὐτῷ ⸀ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ὁδὸς καὶ ἡ ἀλήθεια καὶ ἡ ζωή· οὐδεὶς ἔρχεται πρὸς τὸν πατέρα εἰ μὴ δι’ ἐμοῦ.
Gli disse Gesù: «Io sono la via, la verità e la vita. Nessuno viene al Padre se non per mezzo di me.
«I am the way, the truth and the lifeⓘ. No one comes to the Father except through meⓘ.

εἰ ⸀ἐγνώκειτέ με, καὶ τὸν πατέρα μου ⸂ἂν ᾔδειτε⸃· ⸀ἀπ’ ἄρτι γινώσκετε αὐτὸν καὶ ἑωράκατε ⸀αὐτόν.
Se avete conosciuto me, conoscerete anche il Padre mio: fin da ora lo conoscete e lo avete veduto».
If you have known me, you will know the Fatherⓘ».

Λέγει αὐτῷ Φίλιππος· Κύριε, δεῖξον ἡμῖν τὸν πατέρα, καὶ ἀρκεῖ ἡμῖν.
Gli disse Filippo: «Signore, mostraci il Padre e ci basta».
Philipⓘ: «Show us the Father and it is enough for usⓘ».

λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· ⸂Τοσούτῳ χρόνῳ⸃ μεθ’ ὑμῶν εἰμι καὶ οὐκ ἔγνωκάς με, Φίλιππε; ὁ ἑωρακὼς ἐμὲ ἑώρακεν τὸν πατέρα· ⸀πῶς σὺ λέγεις· Δεῖξον ἡμῖν τὸν πατέρα;
Gli rispose Gesù: «Da tanto tempo sono con voi e tu non mi hai conosciuto, Filippo? Chi ha visto me, ha visto il Padre. Come puoi dire: Mostraci il Padre?
«So long have I been with you and you have not known meⓘ? Whoever has seen me has seen the Fatherⓘ.

οὐ πιστεύεις ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ πατρὶ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοί ἐστιν; τὰ ῥήματα ἃ ἐγὼ ⸀λέγω ὑμῖν ἀπ’ ἐμαυτοῦ οὐ λαλῶ, ὁ δὲ ⸀πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοὶ ⸀μένων ποιεῖ τὰ ἔργα ⸀αὐτοῦ.
Non credi che io sono nel Padre e il Padre è in me? Le parole che io vi dico, non le dico da me stesso; ma il Padre, che rimane in me, compie le sue opere.
I am in the Father and the Father is in meⓘ; the words that I speak I do not speak from myself, but the Father who remains in me accomplishes his worksⓘ.

πιστεύετέ μοι ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ πατρὶ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοί· εἰ δὲ μή, διὰ τὰ ἔργα αὐτὰ ⸀πιστεύετε.
Credetemi: io sono nel Padre e il Padre è in me.

ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὁ πιστεύων εἰς ἐμὲ τὰ ἔργα ἃ ἐγὼ ποιῶ κἀκεῖνος ποιήσει, καὶ μείζονα τούτων ποιήσει, ὅτι ἐγὼ πρὸς τὸν ⸀πατέρα πορεύομαι·
In verità, in verità io vi dico: chi crede in me, anch'egli compirà le opere che io compio e ne compirà di più grandi, perché io vado al Padre».
Amèn, amèn, I say to youⓘ: whoever believes in me will do greater worksⓘ, because I go to the Father».
