Καὶ τῇ ⸂ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ⸃ γάμος ἐγένετο ἐν Κανὰ τῆς Γαλιλαίας, καὶ ἦν ἡ μήτηρ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ ἐκεῖ·
Il terzo giorno vi fu una festa di nozze a Cana di Galilea e c'era la madre di Gesù.
On the third dayⓘ there was a wedding feast at Cana of Galileeⓘ, and the mother of Jesusⓘ was there.

ἐκλήθη δὲ καὶ ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν γάμον.
Fu invitato alle nozze anche Gesù con i suoi discepoli.
Jesus too was invited to the wedding, with his disciplesⓘ.

καὶ ὑστερήσαντος οἴνου λέγει ἡ μήτηρ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ πρὸς αὐτόν· Οἶνον οὐκ ἔχουσιν.
Venuto a mancare il vino, la madre di Gesù gli disse: «Non hanno vino».
When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him: «They have no wineⓘ».

⸀καὶ λέγει αὐτῇ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Τί ἐμοὶ καὶ σοί, γύναι; οὔπω ἥκει ἡ ὥρα μου.
E Gesù le rispose: «Donna, che vuoi da me? Non è ancora giunta la mia ora».
And Jesus answered her: «Woman, what to me and to youⓘ? My hour has not yet comeⓘ».

λέγει ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ τοῖς διακόνοις· ⸂Ὅ τι⸃ ἂν λέγῃ ὑμῖν ποιήσατε.
Sua madre disse ai servitori: «Qualsiasi cosa vi dica, fatela».
His mother said to the servants: «Whatever he says to you, do itⓘ».

ἦσαν δὲ ἐκεῖ ⸂λίθιναι ὑδρίαι⸃ ἓξ ⸂κατὰ τὸν καθαρισμὸν τῶν Ἰουδαίων κείμεναι⸃, χωροῦσαι ἀνὰ μετρητὰς δύο ἢ τρεῖς.
Vi erano là sei anfore di pietra per la purificazione rituale dei Giudei, contenenti ciascuna da ottanta a centoventi litri.
There were there six stone water jarsⓘ for the ritual purificationⓘ, each holding from eighty to one hundred and twenty litersⓘ.

λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Γεμίσατε τὰς ὑδρίας ὕδατος· καὶ ἐγέμισαν αὐτὰς ἕως ἄνω.
E Gesù disse loro: «Riempite d'acqua le anfore»; e le riempirono fino all'orlo.
And Jesus said to them: «Fill the jars with water»; and they filled them up to the brimⓘ.

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Ἀντλήσατε νῦν καὶ φέρετε τῷ ἀρχιτρικλίνῳ· ⸂οἱ δὲ⸃ ἤνεγκαν.
Disse loro di nuovo: «Ora prendetene e portatene a colui che dirige il banchetto». Ed essi gliene portarono.
He said to them again: «Now draw some out and take it to the master of the tableⓘ». And they took it to him.

ὡς δὲ ἐγεύσατο ὁ ἀρχιτρίκλινος τὸ ὕδωρ οἶνον γεγενημένον, καὶ οὐκ ᾔδει πόθεν ἐστίν, οἱ δὲ διάκονοι ᾔδεισαν οἱ ἠντληκότες τὸ ὕδωρ, φωνεῖ τὸν νυμφίον ὁ ἀρχιτρίκλινος
Come ebbe assaggiato l'acqua diventata vino, colui che dirigeva il banchetto – il quale non sapeva da dove venisse, ma lo sapevano i servitori che avevano preso l'acqua – chiamò lo sposo
When he had tasted the water become wineⓘ, the master of the table — who did not know where it came from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew — called the bridegroomⓘ

καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Πᾶς ἄνθρωπος πρῶτον τὸν καλὸν οἶνον τίθησιν, καὶ ὅταν ⸀μεθυσθῶσιν τὸν ἐλάσσω· σὺ τετήρηκας τὸν καλὸν οἶνον ἕως ἄρτι.
e gli disse: «Tutti mettono in tavola il vino buono all'inizio e, quando si è già bevuto molto, quello meno buono. Tu invece hai tenuto da parte il vino buono finora».
and said to him: «Every man serves the good wine firstⓘ, and when people have already drunk much, the lesser one. But you have kept the good wine until nowⓘ».

ταύτην ⸀ἐποίησεν ἀρχὴν τῶν σημείων ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐν Κανὰ τῆς Γαλιλαίας καὶ ἐφανέρωσεν τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπίστευσαν εἰς αὐτὸν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ.
Questo, a Cana di Galilea, fu l'inizio dei segni compiuti da Gesù; egli manifestò la sua gloria e i suoi discepoli credettero in lui.
This, at Cana of Galilee, was the beginning of the signsⓘ performed by Jesus; he manifested his gloryⓘ, and his disciples believed in him.

Μετὰ τοῦτο κατέβη εἰς Καφαρναοὺμ αὐτὸς καὶ ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ ⸀ἀδελφοὶ καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐκεῖ ἔμειναν οὐ πολλὰς ἡμέρας.
Dopo questo fatto scese a Cafàrnao con sua madre, i suoi fratelli e i suoi discepoli, e là rimasero pochi giorni.
After this he went down to Capernaumⓘ with his mother, his brothersⓘ and his disciples, and there they stayed not many daysⓘ.
