Οὔσης οὖν ὀψίας τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ τῇ ⸀μιᾷ σαββάτων, καὶ τῶν θυρῶν κεκλεισμένων ὅπου ἦσαν οἱ ⸀μαθηταὶ διὰ τὸν φόβον τῶν Ἰουδαίων, ἦλθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ ἔστη εἰς τὸ μέσον, καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Εἰρήνη ὑμῖν.
La sera di quel giorno, il primo della settimana, mentre erano chiuse le porte del luogo dove si trovavano i discepoli per timore dei Giudei, venne Gesù, stette in mezzo e disse loro: «Pace a voi!».
It being therefore eveningⓘ, on the first day after the Shabbatⓘ (yom rishon), and the doors being shutⓘ where the disciples were for fear of the Judean leaders — the archiereis (the kohanim of the temple's apex)ⓘ and the elders (zeqenim)ⓘ of the Sanhedrinⓘ, came Jesusⓘ and stood in the midstⓘ, and says to them: «Shalom to youⓘ!».

καὶ τοῦτο εἰπὼν ⸀ἔδειξεν τὰς χεῖρας καὶ τὴν πλευρὰν ⸀αὐτοῖς. ἐχάρησαν οὖν οἱ μαθηταὶ ἰδόντες τὸν κύριον.
Detto questo, mostrò loro le mani e il fianco. E i discepoli gioirono al vedere il Signore.
And having said this he showed them his hands and his sideⓘ. The disciples then rejoiced seeing the Lordⓘ.

εἶπεν οὖν αὐτοῖς ⸂ὁ Ἰησοῦς⸃ πάλιν· Εἰρήνη ὑμῖν· καθὼς ἀπέσταλκέν με ὁ πατήρ, κἀγὼ πέμπω ὑμᾶς.
Gesù disse loro di nuovo: «Pace a voi! Come il Padre ha mandato me, anche io mando voi».
Jesus therefore said to them again: «Shalom to you! As the Father has sent me, so I also send youⓘ».

καὶ τοῦτο εἰπὼν ἐνεφύσησεν καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Λάβετε πνεῦμα ἅγιον·
Detto questo, soffiò e disse loro: «Ricevete lo Spirito Santo.
And having said this he breathedⓘ and says to them: «Receive Holy Spiritⓘ.

ἄν τινων ἀφῆτε τὰς ἁμαρτίας ⸀ἀφέωνται αὐτοῖς· ἄν τινων κρατῆτε κεκράτηνται.
A coloro a cui perdonerete i peccati, saranno perdonati; a coloro a cui non perdonerete, non saranno perdonati».
To those whose sins you remitⓘ, they are remitted to themⓘ; those whose sins you retain, they are retainedⓘ».
