16
Venuta intanto la sera, i suoi discepoli scesero al mare,
When evening came, his disciplesⓘ went downⓘ to the seaⓘ,
17
salirono in barca e si avviarono verso l'altra riva del mare in direzione di Cafàrnao. Era ormai buio e Gesù non li aveva ancora raggiunti;
and having boarded a boat they were going toward the other shore, in the direction of Capernaumⓘ. It had already grown darkⓘ and Jesus had not yet reached themⓘ;
18
and the sea was being stirred upⓘ by a great wind that was blowingⓘ.
19
Having therefore rowed about twenty-five or thirty stadiaⓘ, they sawⓘ Jesus walking upon the seaⓘ and drawing near to the boat, and they were afraidⓘ.
20
But he says to them: «I amⓘ, do not fearⓘ!».
21
They were willingⓘ therefore to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the landⓘ toward which they were headingⓘ.
