Καὶ ἦν ἐκβάλλων ⸀δαιμόνιον κωφόν· ἐγένετο δὲ τοῦ δαιμονίου ἐξελθόντος ἐλάλησεν ὁ κωφός. καὶ ἐθαύμασαν οἱ ὄχλοι·
Gesù stava scacciando un demonio che era muto. Uscito il demonio, il muto cominciò a parlare e le folle furono prese da stupore.
Jesus was driving out a mute demonⓘ; when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds of am ha-aretz, the common folk not affiliated with the confraternities of observance (the ḥaverim)ⓘ were seized with amazementⓘ.

τινὲς δὲ ἐξ αὐτῶν εἶπον· Ἐν Βεελζεβοὺλ ⸀τῷ ἄρχοντι τῶν δαιμονίων ἐκβάλλει τὰ δαιμόνια·
Ma alcuni dissero: «È per mezzo di Beelzebùl, capo dei demòni, che egli scaccia i demòni».
But some of them said: «By Beelzebul, the chief of the demonsⓘ, he drives out the demons».

ἕτεροι δὲ πειράζοντες σημεῖον ⸂ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἐζήτουν παρ’ αὐτοῦ⸃.
Altri poi, per metterlo alla prova, gli domandavano un segno dal cielo.
Others, to put him to the testⓘ, were demanding from him a sign from heavenⓘ.

αὐτὸς δὲ εἰδὼς αὐτῶν τὰ διανοήματα εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Πᾶσα βασιλεία ἐφ’ ἑαυτὴν διαμερισθεῖσα ἐρημοῦται, καὶ οἶκος ἐπὶ οἶκον πίπτει.
Egli, conoscendo le loro intenzioni, disse: «Ogni regno diviso in se stesso va in rovina e una casa cade sull'altra.
He, knowing their thoughtsⓘ, said to them: «Every kingdom divided against itself is laid wasteⓘ, and one house falls upon another.

εἰ δὲ καὶ ὁ Σατανᾶς ἐφ’ ἑαυτὸν διεμερίσθη, πῶς σταθήσεται ἡ βασιλεία αὐτοῦ; ὅτι λέγετε ἐν Βεελζεβοὺλ ἐκβάλλειν με τὰ δαιμόνια.
Ora, se anche Satana è diviso in se stesso, come potrà stare in piedi il suo regno? Voi dite che io scaccio i demòni per mezzo di Beelzebùl.
If even Satan, ha-satanⓘ the adversary, is divided against himself, how will his Malkhut, sovereignty-kingdomⓘ stand? Since you say that I drive out the demons by Beelzebul.

εἰ δὲ ἐγὼ ἐν Βεελζεβοὺλ ἐκβάλλω τὰ δαιμόνια, οἱ υἱοὶ ὑμῶν ἐν τίνι ἐκβάλλουσιν; διὰ τοῦτο ⸂αὐτοὶ ὑμῶν κριταὶ⸃ ἔσονται.
Ma se io scaccio i demòni per mezzo di Beelzebùl, i vostri figli per mezzo di chi li scacciano? Per questo saranno loro i vostri giudici.
But if I drive out the demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sonsⓘ — the mekashfim, the Jewish exorcists operating within Israel — drive them out? The accusation is self-contradictory: if Jewish exorcism is from God, so is his. Therefore, by an argument from the lesser to the greater (qal va-chomer) qal va-chomerⓘ, they will be your judges.

εἰ δὲ ἐν δακτύλῳ ⸀θεοῦ ἐκβάλλω τὰ δαιμόνια, ἄρα ἔφθασεν ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ.
Se invece io scaccio i demòni con il dito di Dio, allora è giunto a voi il regno di Dio.
But if it is by the finger of God (etzba Elohim) finger of Godⓘ that I drive out the demons, then the Malkhut of God, his Kingdom Malkhut of Godⓘ has come upon you.

ὅταν ὁ ἰσχυρὸς καθωπλισμένος φυλάσσῃ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ αὐλήν, ἐν εἰρήνῃ ἐστὶν τὰ ὑπάρχοντα αὐτοῦ·
Quando un uomo forte, bene armato, fa la guardia al suo palazzo, ciò che possiede è al sicuro.
When the strong man, well armedⓘ guards his courtyard, what he possesses is in peace;

ἐπὰν ⸀δὲ ἰσχυρότερος ⸀αὐτοῦ ἐπελθὼν νικήσῃ αὐτόν, τὴν πανοπλίαν αὐτοῦ αἴρει ἐφ’ ᾗ ἐπεποίθει, καὶ τὰ σκῦλα αὐτοῦ διαδίδωσιν.
Ma se arriva uno più forte di lui e lo vince, gli strappa via le armi nelle quali confidava e ne distribuisce il bottino.
but when one stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes himⓘ, he takes from him the panoplyⓘ and distributes his spoilsⓘ.

ὁ μὴ ὢν μετ’ ἐμοῦ κατ’ ἐμοῦ ἐστιν, καὶ ὁ μὴ συνάγων μετ’ ἐμοῦ σκορπίζει.
Chi non è con me è contro di me, e chi non raccoglie con me disperde».
Whoever is not with me is against meⓘ, and whoever does not gather with me scattersⓘ».
