Ἦν δὲ διδάσκων ἐν μιᾷ τῶν συναγωγῶν ἐν τοῖς σάββασιν.
Stava insegnando in una sinagoga di sabato.
He was teaching in a synagogue (beit ha-knesset) synagogueⓘ on Shabbat Shabbatⓘ.

καὶ ἰδοὺ ⸀γυνὴ πνεῦμα ἔχουσα ἀσθενείας ἔτη ⸀δεκαοκτώ, καὶ ἦν συγκύπτουσα καὶ μὴ δυναμένη ἀνακύψαι εἰς τὸ παντελές.
Ed ecco, c'era una donna che da diciotto anni aveva uno spirito che la teneva inferma; era curva e non riusciva in alcun modo a raddrizzarsi.
And behold, a woman who for eighteen years had had a spirit of infirmityⓘ; she was bent overⓘ and could not straighten herself at all.

ἰδὼν δὲ αὐτὴν ὁ Ἰησοῦς προσεφώνησεν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ· Γύναι, ἀπολέλυσαι τῆς ἀσθενείας σου,
Gesù, vedendola, la chiamò a sé e le disse: «Donna, sei liberata dalla tua malattia».
Jesus, seeing her, called her to himself and said to her: «Woman, you are set freeⓘ from your infirmity».

καὶ ἐπέθηκεν αὐτῇ τὰς χεῖρας· καὶ παραχρῆμα ἀνωρθώθη, καὶ ἐδόξαζεν τὸν θεόν.
Impose le mani su di lei e subito quella si raddrizzò e glorificava Dio.
He laid his hands upon her and at once she was made straightⓘ and glorifiedⓘ God.

ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ ἀρχισυνάγωγος, ἀγανακτῶν ὅτι τῷ σαββάτῳ ἐθεράπευσεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς, ἔλεγεν τῷ ὄχλῳ ⸀ὅτι Ἓξ ἡμέραι εἰσὶν ἐν αἷς δεῖ ἐργάζεσθαι· ἐν ⸀αὐταῖς οὖν ἐρχόμενοι θεραπεύεσθε καὶ μὴ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ σαββάτου.
Ma il capo della sinagoga, sdegnato perché Gesù aveva operato quella guarigione di sabato, prese la parola e disse alla folla: «Ci sono sei giorni in cui si deve lavorare; in quelli dunque venite a farvi guarire, e non in giorno di sabato».
But the ruler of the synagogue (rosh ha-knesset) ruler of the synagogueⓘ, indignant because Jesus had healed on Shabbat, kept sayingⓘ to the crowd of the am ha-aretz (the common people not bound to the purity of the haverim) am ha-aretzⓘ: «There are six days in which one ought to work; on those therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of Shabbat».

ἀπεκρίθη ⸀δὲ αὐτῷ ὁ κύριος καὶ εἶπεν· Ὑποκριταί, ἕκαστος ὑμῶν τῷ σαββάτῳ οὐ λύει τὸν βοῦν αὐτοῦ ἢ τὸν ὄνον ἀπὸ τῆς φάτνης καὶ ⸀ἀπαγαγὼν ποτίζει;
Il Signore gli replicò: «Ipocriti! Non è forse vero che ciascuno di voi, di sabato, slega il bue o l'asino dalla mangiatoia per condurlo ad abbeverarsi?
The Lord answered him and said: «Hypocritesⓘ! Does not each of you, on Shabbat, loose his ox or his donkey from the manger to lead it away to water it, a work permitted on the day of restⓘ?

ταύτην δὲ θυγατέρα Ἀβραὰμ οὖσαν, ἣν ἔδησεν ὁ Σατανᾶς ἰδοὺ δέκα καὶ ὀκτὼ ἔτη, οὐκ ἔδει λυθῆναι ἀπὸ τοῦ δεσμοῦ τούτου τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ σαββάτου;
E questa figlia di Abramo, che Satana ha tenuto legata diciotto anni, non doveva essere liberata da questo legame nel giorno di sabato?».
And this woman, a daughter of Abraham (bat Avraham) bat Avrahamⓘ, whom ha-satan ha-satanⓘ has kept boundⓘ eighteen years, ought she not to have been loosed from this bond on the day of Shabbat, all the more so than the animal all the more soⓘ?».

καὶ ταῦτα λέγοντος αὐτοῦ κατῃσχύνοντο πάντες οἱ ἀντικείμενοι αὐτῷ, καὶ πᾶς ὁ ὄχλος ἔχαιρεν ἐπὶ πᾶσιν τοῖς ἐνδόξοις τοῖς γινομένοις ὑπ’ αὐτοῦ.
Quando egli diceva queste cose, tutti i suoi avversari si vergognavano, mentre la folla intera esultava per tutte le meraviglie da lui compiute.
And while he was saying these things, all his adversaries were put to shameⓘ, while the whole crowd rejoicedⓘ at all the gloriousⓘ works done by him.

Ἔλεγεν ⸀οὖν· Τίνι ὁμοία ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ, καὶ τίνι ὁμοιώσω αὐτήν;
Diceva dunque: «A che cosa è simile il regno di Dio, e a che cosa lo posso paragonare?
He said therefore: «To what is the sovereignty of God like, the malkhut malkhutⓘ, and to what shall I compare it?

ὁμοία ἐστὶν κόκκῳ σινάπεως, ὃν λαβὼν ἄνθρωπος ἔβαλεν εἰς κῆπον ἑαυτοῦ, καὶ ηὔξησεν καὶ ἐγένετο εἰς ⸀δένδρον, καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατεσκήνωσεν ἐν τοῖς κλάδοις αὐτοῦ.
È simile a un granello di senape, che un uomo prese e gettò nel suo giardino; crebbe, divenne un albero e gli uccelli del cielo fecero il nido tra i suoi rami».
It is like a grain of mustard grain of mustardⓘ, which a man took and cast into his garden: it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the sky made their nestⓘ among its branches».

⸀Καὶ πάλιν εἶπεν· Τίνι ὁμοιώσω τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ;
E disse ancora: «A che cosa posso paragonare il regno di Dio?
And he said again: «To what shall I compare the malkhut, the sovereignty of God?

ὁμοία ἐστὶν ζύμῃ, ἣν λαβοῦσα γυνὴ ⸀ἔκρυψεν εἰς ἀλεύρου σάτα τρία ἕως οὗ ἐζυμώθη ὅλον.
È simile al lievito, che una donna prese e mescolò in tre misure di farina, finché non fu tutta fermentata».
It is like leaven leavenⓘ, which a woman took and hidⓘ in three measures three measuresⓘ of flour, until it all fermented».
