Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ ἐγγίζειν αὐτὸν εἰς Ἰεριχὼ τυφλός τις ἐκάθητο παρὰ τὴν ὁδὸν ⸀ἐπαιτῶν.
Mentre si avvicinava a Gèrico, un cieco era seduto lungo la strada a mendicare.
It then came to pass that, as Jesus drew near to the city of Jerichoⓘ, a blind manⓘ was sitting along the road beggingⓘ.

ἀκούσας δὲ ὄχλου διαπορευομένου ἐπυνθάνετο ⸀τί εἴη τοῦτο·
Sentendo passare la gente, domandò che cosa accadesse.
And hearing a crowd passing by, he kept askingⓘ what this might be.

ἀπήγγειλαν δὲ αὐτῷ ὅτι Ἰησοῦς ὁ Ναζωραῖος παρέρχεται.
Gli risposero: «Passa Gesù, il Nazareno!».
They announced to him: «Jesus the Nazareneⓘ is passing by».
38
καὶ ἐβόησεν λέγων· Ἰησοῦ υἱὲ Δαυίδ, ἐλέησόν με.
Allora gridò dicendo: «Gesù, figlio di Davide, abbi pietà di me!».
And he cried out, saying: «Jesus, son of Davidⓘ, have mercy on meⓘ!».

καὶ οἱ προάγοντες ἐπετίμων αὐτῷ ἵνα ⸀σιγήσῃ· αὐτὸς δὲ πολλῷ μᾶλλον ἔκραζεν· Υἱὲ Δαυίδ, ἐλέησόν με.
Quelli che camminavano avanti lo rimproveravano perché tacesse; ma egli gridava ancora più forte: «Figlio di Davide, abbi pietà di me!».
And those who went ahead in frontⓘ rebukedⓘ him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more: «Son of David, have mercy on me!».

σταθεὶς δὲ ⸀ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐκέλευσεν αὐτὸν ἀχθῆναι πρὸς αὐτόν. ἐγγίσαντος δὲ αὐτοῦ ἐπηρώτησεν αὐτόν·
Gesù allora si fermò e ordinò che lo conducessero da lui. Quando fu vicino, gli domandò:
Then Jesus stopped and ordered that he be brought near. And when he had drawn near, he questioned him:

⸀Τί σοι θέλεις ποιήσω; ὁ δὲ εἶπεν· Κύριε, ἵνα ἀναβλέψω.
«Che cosa vuoi che io faccia per te?». Egli rispose: «Signore, che io veda di nuovo!».
«What do you want me to do for you?». He answered: «Lord, that I may see againⓘ!».

καὶ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Ἀνάβλεψον· ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε.
E Gesù gli disse: «Abbi di nuovo la vista! La tua fede ti ha salvato».
And Jesus said to him: «Regain your sightⓘ: your faith has saved youⓘ».

καὶ παραχρῆμα ἀνέβλεψεν, καὶ ἠκολούθει αὐτῷ δοξάζων τὸν θεόν. καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἰδὼν ἔδωκεν αἶνον τῷ θεῷ.
Subito ci vide di nuovo e cominciò a seguirlo glorificando Dio. E tutto il popolo, vedendo, diede lode a Dio.
And on the instant, immediatelyⓘ he regained his sight, and he was followingⓘ him glorifying Godⓘ. And all the peopleⓘ, seeing it, gave praiseⓘ to God.
