Καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ ὀνόματι Ἰωσὴφ βουλευτὴς ὑπάρχων, ⸀ἀνὴρ ἀγαθὸς καὶ δίκαιος—

Ed ecco, vi era un uomo di nome Giuseppe, membro del sinedrio, buono e giusto.

And behold, a man named Joseph, a member of the Sanhedrin (bouleutḗs, one of the zeqenim)ⓘ, a good and righteous man (an observant tzaddiq)ⓘ—

οὗτος οὐκ ἦν συγκατατεθειμένος τῇ βουλῇ καὶ τῇ πράξει αὐτῶν— ἀπὸ Ἁριμαθαίας πόλεως τῶν Ἰουδαίων, ὃς ⸀προσεδέχετο τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ,

Egli non aveva aderito alla decisione e all'operato degli altri. Era di Arimatea, una città della Giudea, e aspettava il regno di Dio.

this man had not consented to the decision and the deed of the Sanhedrinⓘ—, from Arimathea, a city of Judea, who was awaiting the kingdom of Godⓘ.

οὗτος προσελθὼν τῷ Πιλάτῳ ᾐτήσατο τὸ σῶμα τοῦ Ἰησοῦ,

Si presentò a Pilato e chiese il corpo di Gesù.

This man, having presented himself to Pilateⓘ, asked for the body of Jesus.

καὶ ⸀καθελὼν ἐνετύλιξεν αὐτὸ σινδόνι, καὶ ἔθηκεν ⸀αὐτὸν ἐν μνήματι λαξευτῷ οὗ οὐκ ἦν ⸂οὐδεὶς οὔπω⸃ κείμενος.

Lo depose dalla croce, lo avvolse con un lenzuolo e lo mise in un sepolcro scavato nella roccia, nel quale nessuno era stato ancora sepolto.

And, having taken it downⓘ, he wrapped it in a linen shroudⓘ, and laid it in a tomb hewn in the rockⓘ where no one yet layⓘ.

καὶ ἡμέρα ἦν ⸂παρασκευῆς, καὶ⸃ σάββατον ἐπέφωσκεν.

Era il giorno della Parasceve e già splendevano le luci del sabato.

And it was the day of Preparation (erev Shabbat, the eve of the rest)ⓘ, and the sabbath was dawningⓘ.

κατακολουθήσασαι δὲ ⸀αἱ γυναῖκες, αἵτινες ἦσαν συνεληλυθυῖαι ⸂ἐκ τῆς Γαλιλαίας αὐτῷ⸃, ἐθεάσαντο τὸ μνημεῖον καὶ ὡς ἐτέθη τὸ σῶμα αὐτοῦ,

Le donne che erano venute con Gesù dalla Galilea seguivano Giuseppe; esse osservarono il sepolcro e come era stato posto il corpo di Gesù,

Having followed closely, the women who had come with him from Galileeⓘ observed the tombⓘ and how his body was laid.

ὑποστρέψασαι δὲ ἡτοίμασαν ἀρώματα καὶ μύρα. Καὶ τὸ μὲν σάββατον ἡσύχασαν κατὰ τὴν ἐντολήν,

poi tornarono indietro e prepararono aromi e oli profumati. Il giorno di sabato osservarono il riposo come era prescritto.

And, having returned, they prepared spices and perfumed oilsⓘ. And on the sabbath they rested according to the commandmentⓘ.
