Ἦσαν δὲ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἀναβαίνοντες εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα, καὶ ἦν προάγων αὐτοὺς ὁ Ἰησοῦς, καὶ ἐθαμβοῦντο, ⸂οἱ δὲ⸃ ἀκολουθοῦντες ἐφοβοῦντο. καὶ παραλαβὼν πάλιν τοὺς δώδεκα ἤρξατο αὐτοῖς λέγειν τὰ μέλλοντα αὐτῷ συμβαίνειν
Erano in viaggio per salire a Gerusalemme e Gesù camminava davanti a loro ed essi erano sgomenti; coloro che lo seguivano erano impauriti. Presi di nuovo in disparte i Dodici, cominciò a dire loro quello che stava per accadergli:
And they were going up on the wayⓘ to Jerusalemⓘ, and Jesus was walking ahead of themⓘ, and they were amazedⓘ, and those who followed were afraidⓘ. And taking the Twelveⓘ aside again, he began to tell them the things that were about to happen to himⓘ:

ὅτι Ἰδοὺ ἀναβαίνομεν εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα, καὶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου παραδοθήσεται τοῖς ἀρχιερεῦσιν καὶ ⸀τοῖς γραμματεῦσιν, καὶ κατακρινοῦσιν αὐτὸν θανάτῳ καὶ παραδώσουσιν αὐτὸν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν
«Ecco, noi saliamo a Gerusalemme e il Figlio dell'uomo sarà consegnato ai capi dei sacerdoti e agli scribi; lo condanneranno a morte e lo consegneranno ai pagani,
«Behold, we are going upⓘ to Jerusalem, and the Son of manⓘ will be handed overⓘ to the chief priests, the kohanim at the summit of the templeⓘ, and to the scribes, the soferimⓘ, and they will condemn him to deathⓘ and will hand him over to the pagan nations (the goyim)ⓘ,

καὶ ἐμπαίξουσιν αὐτῷ καὶ ⸂ἐμπτύσουσιν αὐτῷ καὶ μαστιγώσουσιν αὐτὸν⸃ καὶ ⸀ἀποκτενοῦσιν, καὶ ⸂μετὰ τρεῖς ἡμέρας⸃ ἀναστήσεται.
lo derideranno, gli sputeranno addosso, lo flagelleranno e lo uccideranno, e dopo tre giorni risorgerà».
and they will mock himⓘ and will spit on him and scourge himⓘ and will kill him, and after three daysⓘ he will riseⓘ».
