Καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἔλεγεν διδάσκων ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ· Πῶς λέγουσιν οἱ γραμματεῖς ὅτι ὁ χριστὸς υἱὸς ⸂Δαυίδ ἐστιν⸃;
Insegnando nel tempio, Gesù diceva: «Come mai gli scribi dicono che il Cristo è figlio di Davide?
Taking up the discourse, while he was teaching in the temple, Jesus ⓘ: «How is it that the scribes (ⓘ) say that the ⓘ is the son of David?

⸀αὐτὸς Δαυὶδ εἶπεν ἐν ⸂τῷ πνεύματι τῷ⸃ ἁγίῳ· ⸀Εἶπεν ⸀κύριος τῷ κυρίῳ μου· ⸀Κάθου ἐκ δεξιῶν μου ἕως ἂν θῶ τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου ⸀ὑποκάτω τῶν ποδῶν σου.
Disse infatti Davide stesso, mosso dallo Spirito Santo: Disse il Signore al mio Signore: Siedi alla mia destra, finché io ponga i tuoi nemici sotto i tuoi piedi.
David himself said it, moved by the ⓘ: The ⓘ said to my lord: Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies a ⓘ.

⸀αὐτὸς Δαυὶδ λέγει αὐτὸν κύριον, καὶ πόθεν ⸂αὐτοῦ ἐστιν υἱός⸃; καὶ ὁ πολὺς ὄχλος ἤκουεν αὐτοῦ ἡδέως.
Davide stesso lo chiama Signore: da dove risulta che è suo figlio?». E la folla numerosa lo ascoltava volentieri.
If David himself, then, calls him by that name, his lord, how can he be his son? And how can the Messiah be at once the son of David and also ⓘ?». And the great crowd of common folk, the ordinary people (ⓘ), ⓘ.
