Ἦν δὲ τὸ πάσχα καὶ τὰ ἄζυμα μετὰ δύο ἡμέρας. καὶ ἐζήτουν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς πῶς αὐτὸν ἐν δόλῳ κρατήσαντες ἀποκτείνωσιν,
Mancavano due giorni alla Pasqua e agli Azzimi, e i capi dei sacerdoti e gli scribi cercavano il modo di catturarlo con un inganno, per ucciderlo.
It was two days before the Passoverⓘ and the Unleavened Bread matzotⓘ, and the chief priests, the kohanim of the temple summit kohanimⓘ, and the scribes scribesⓘ kept seekingⓘ how, having seized him by deceitⓘ, to put him to death.

ἔλεγον ⸀γάρ· Μὴ ἐν τῇ ἑορτῇ, μήποτε ⸂ἔσται θόρυβος⸃ τοῦ λαοῦ.
Dicevano infatti: «Non durante la festa, perché non vi sia un tumulto del popolo».
