⸂Καὶ γενομένης⸃ ὥρας ἕκτης σκότος ἐγένετο ἐφ’ ὅλην τὴν γῆν ἕως ὥρας ἐνάτης.
A mezzogiorno si fece buio su tutta la terra, fino alle tre del pomeriggio.
When the sixth hourⓘ came, darknessⓘ fell over all the earthⓘ until the ninth hour,

καὶ τῇ ⸂ἐνάτῃ ὥρᾳ⸃ ἐβόησεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς φωνῇ ⸀μεγάλῃ· Ἐλωῒ ἐλωῒ ⸀λεμὰ σαβαχθάνι; ὅ ἐστιν μεθερμηνευόμενον Ὁ θεός μου ὁ θεός μου, εἰς τί ⸂ἐγκατέλιπές με⸃;
Alle tre Gesù gridò a gran voce: «Eloì, Eloì, lemà sabactàni?», che significa: «Dio mio, Dio mio, perché mi hai abbandonato?».
a apocalyptic signⓘ and a creational inversionⓘ. And at the ninth hour — the hour of the afternoon tamidⓘ — Iēsoûsⓘ cried out with a loud voice: «Elōì elōì lemà sabachthániⓘ», which translated is: «my God, my God, why have you forsaken meⓘ?».

καί τινες τῶν παρεστηκότων ἀκούσαντες ἔλεγον· ⸀Ἴδε Ἠλίαν φωνεῖ.
Alcuni dei presenti, udito ciò, dicevano: «Ecco, chiama Elia!».
Some of the bystanders, hearing this, were saying: «Behold, he is calling Ēlíasⓘ!».

δραμὼν δέ ⸂τις καὶ⸃ γεμίσας σπόγγον ὄξους ⸀περιθεὶς καλάμῳ ἐπότιζεν αὐτόν, λέγων· Ἄφετε ἴδωμεν εἰ ἔρχεται Ἠλίας καθελεῖν αὐτόν.
Uno corse a inzuppare di aceto una spugna e, postala su una canna, gli dava da bere, dicendo: «Aspettate, vediamo se viene Elia a tirarlo giù».
One ran, filled a sponge with vinegarⓘ, put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying: «Leave himⓘ, let us see whether Ēlías comes to take him down».

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς ἀφεὶς φωνὴν μεγάλην ἐξέπνευσεν.
Ma Gesù, dando un forte grido, spirò.
But Iēsoûs, having uttered a loud cryⓘ, breathed his lastⓘ.

καὶ τὸ καταπέτασμα τοῦ ναοῦ ἐσχίσθη εἰς δύο ἀπ’ ἄνωθεν ἕως κάτω.
Il velo del tempio si squarciò in due, da cima a fondo.
And the veil of the Templeⓘ was torn in twoⓘ from top to bottomⓘ.

ἰδὼν δὲ ὁ κεντυρίων ὁ παρεστηκὼς ἐξ ἐναντίας αὐτοῦ ὅτι ⸀οὕτως ἐξέπνευσεν εἶπεν· Ἀληθῶς ⸂οὗτος ὁ ἄνθρωπος⸃ υἱὸς ⸂θεοῦ ἦν⸃.
Il centurione, che stava di fronte a lui, avendolo visto spirare in quel modo, disse: «Davvero quest'uomo era Figlio di Dio!».
Seeing the kentyríōnⓘ, who stood facing him, that thusⓘ he had breathed his last, said: «Trulyⓘ this man was Son of Godⓘ».

Ἦσαν δὲ καὶ γυναῖκες ἀπὸ μακρόθεν θεωροῦσαι, ἐν ⸀αἷς καὶ ⸀Μαρία ἡ Μαγδαληνὴ καὶ Μαρία ⸀ἡ Ἰακώβου τοῦ μικροῦ καὶ ⸀Ἰωσῆτος μήτηρ καὶ Σαλώμη,
C'erano anche alcune donne, che osservavano da lontano, tra le quali Maria di Màgdala, Maria madre di Giacomo il minore e di Ioses, e Salome,

⸀αἳ ὅτε ἦν ἐν τῇ Γαλιλαίᾳ ἠκολούθουν αὐτῷ καὶ διηκόνουν αὐτῷ, καὶ ἄλλαι πολλαὶ αἱ συναναβᾶσαι αὐτῷ εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα.
le quali, quando era in Galilea, lo seguivano e lo servivano, e molte altre che erano salite con lui a Gerusalemme.
