Καὶ ἔλεγεν ⸀αὐτοῖς· Μήτι ⸂ἔρχεται ὁ λύχνος⸃ ἵνα ὑπὸ τὸν μόδιον τεθῇ ἢ ὑπὸ τὴν κλίνην, οὐχ ἵνα ἐπὶ τὴν λυχνίαν ⸀τεθῇ;
Diceva loro: «Viene forse la lampada per essere messa sotto il moggio o sotto il letto? O non piuttosto per essere messa sul candelabro?
And he kept sayingⓘ to them: «Does the lampⓘ perhaps come to be placed under the bushel measureⓘ or under the bedⓘ, and not rather to be placed on the lampstandⓘ?

οὐ γάρ ἐστιν ⸀κρυπτὸν ἐὰν μὴ ⸀ἵνα φανερωθῇ, οὐδὲ ἐγένετο ἀπόκρυφον ἀλλ’ ἵνα ⸂ἔλθῃ εἰς φανερόν⸃.
Non vi è infatti nulla di nascosto che non debba essere manifestato e nulla di segreto che non debba essere messo in luce.
For there is nothing hiddenⓘ except that it may be made manifestⓘ, nor was anything kept secretⓘ except that it may come to lightⓘ.

εἴ τις ἔχει ὦτα ἀκούειν ἀκουέτω.
Se uno ha orecchi per ascoltare, ascolti!».
If anyone has ears to hear, let him hearⓘ.
24
καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· Βλέπετε τί ἀκούετε. ἐν ᾧ μέτρῳ μετρεῖτε μετρηθήσεται ὑμῖν καὶ προστεθήσεται ⸀ὑμῖν.
Diceva loro: «Fate attenzione a quello che ascoltate. Con la misura con la quale misurate sarà misurato a voi; anzi, vi sarà dato di più.
And he kept saying to them: «Take heed what you hearⓘ: with the measure with which you measureⓘ it will be measured to youⓘ, and more will be added to youⓘ.

ὃς γὰρ ⸀ἔχει, δοθήσεται αὐτῷ· καὶ ὃς οὐκ ἔχει, καὶ ⸀ὃ ἔχει ἀρθήσεται ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ.
Perché a chi ha, sarà dato; ma a chi non ha, sarà tolto anche quello che ha».
For to the one who has it will be givenⓘ; and from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken from himⓘ».
