Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὰς κώμας Καισαρείας τῆς Φιλίππου· καὶ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἐπηρώτα τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ λέγων αὐτοῖς· Τίνα με λέγουσιν οἱ ἄνθρωποι εἶναι;
Poi Gesù partì con i suoi discepoli verso i villaggi intorno a Cesarèa di Filippo, e per la strada interrogava i suoi discepoli dicendo: «La gente, chi dice che io sia?».
And Jesus went out with his disciplesⓘ toward the villages of Caesarea Philippiⓘ; and on the wayⓘ he kept askingⓘ his disciples, saying to them: «Who do people sayⓘ that I am?».

οἱ δὲ ⸂εἶπαν αὐτῷ λέγοντες⸃ ⸀ὅτι Ἰωάννην τὸν βαπτιστήν, καὶ ἄλλοι Ἠλίαν, ἄλλοι δὲ ⸂ὅτι εἷς⸃ τῶν προφητῶν.
Ed essi gli risposero: «Giovanni il Battista; altri dicono Elia e altri uno dei profeti».
And they said to himⓘ: «John the immerserⓘ, and others Elijahⓘ, others one of the prophetsⓘ».

καὶ αὐτὸς ⸂ἐπηρώτα αὐτούς⸃· Ὑμεῖς δὲ τίνα με λέγετε εἶναι; ⸀ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Πέτρος λέγει αὐτῷ· Σὺ εἶ ὁ χριστός.
Ed egli domandava loro: «Ma voi, chi dite che io sia?». Pietro gli rispose: «Tu sei il Cristo».
And he kept asking themⓘ: «But you, who do you say that I am?». Answeringⓘ, Peterⓘ says to himⓘ: «You are the Messiahⓘ».

καὶ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτοῖς ἵνα μηδενὶ λέγωσιν περὶ αὐτοῦ.
E ordinò loro severamente di non parlare di lui ad alcuno.
And he sternly charged them to tell no one about himⓘ.
