Καὶ ⸀ἦλθον εἰς Καφαρναούμ. καὶ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ γενόμενος ἐπηρώτα αὐτούς· Τί ἐν τῇ ⸀ὁδῷ διελογίζεσθε;
Giunsero a Cafàrnao. Quando fu in casa, chiese loro: «Di che cosa stavate discutendo per la strada?».
And they came to Capernaumⓘ; in the houseⓘ he asked them: «What were you discussingⓘ on the road?».

οἱ δὲ ἐσιώπων, πρὸς ἀλλήλους γὰρ διελέχθησαν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ τίς μείζων.
Ed essi tacevano. Per la strada infatti avevano discusso tra loro chi fosse più grande.
But they kept silentⓘ, because on the road they had discussed among themselves who was the greatestⓘ.

καὶ καθίσας ἐφώνησεν τοὺς δώδεκα καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Εἴ τις θέλει πρῶτος εἶναι ἔσται πάντων ἔσχατος καὶ πάντων διάκονος.
Sedutosi, chiamò i Dodici e disse loro: «Se uno vuole essere il primo, sia l'ultimo di tutti e il servitore di tutti».
And, having sat downⓘ, he called the Twelveⓘ and said to them: «If anyone wants to be first, let him be last of all and servant of allⓘ».

καὶ λαβὼν παιδίον ἔστησεν αὐτὸ ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐναγκαλισάμενος αὐτὸ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς·
E, preso un bambino, lo pose in mezzo a loro e, abbracciandolo, disse loro:
And, having taken a childⓘ, he set him in the midst of themⓘ and, embracing himⓘ, said to them:

Ὃς ⸀ἂν ἓν τῶν τοιούτων παιδίων δέξηται ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματί μου, ἐμὲ δέχεται· καὶ ὃς ⸁ἂν ἐμὲ ⸀δέχηται, οὐκ ἐμὲ δέχεται ἀλλὰ τὸν ἀποστείλαντά με.
«Chi accoglie uno solo di questi bambini nel mio nome, accoglie me; e chi accoglie me, non accoglie me, ma colui che mi ha mandato».
«Whoever receivesⓘ one of these little children in my nameⓘ, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me, but the one who sent me as his envoy (shaliach)ⓘ».
