Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω ὑμᾶς ὡς πρόβατα ἐν μέσῳ λύκων· γίνεσθε οὖν φρόνιμοι ὡς οἱ ὄφεις καὶ ἀκέραιοι ὡς αἱ περιστεραί.
Ecco, io vi mando come pecore in mezzo ai lupi; siate dunque prudenti come i serpenti e semplici come le colombe.
Behold, I sendⓘ you out as sheep in the midst of wolvesⓘ; be shrewd as serpents and innocent as dovesⓘ.

προσέχετε δὲ ἀπὸ τῶν ἀνθρώπων· παραδώσουσιν γὰρ ὑμᾶς εἰς συνέδρια, καὶ ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς αὐτῶν μαστιγώσουσιν ὑμᾶς·
Guardatevi dagli uomini, perché vi consegneranno ai tribunali e vi flagelleranno nelle loro sinagoghe;
Beware of men: they will hand you over to the courtsⓘ and will flog you in their synagoguesⓘ.

καὶ ἐπὶ ἡγεμόνας δὲ καὶ βασιλεῖς ἀχθήσεσθε ἕνεκεν ἐμοῦ εἰς μαρτύριον αὐτοῖς καὶ τοῖς ἔθνεσιν.
e sarete condotti davanti a governatori e re per causa mia, per dare testimonianza a loro e ai pagani.
You will be brought before governors and kingsⓘ for my sake, as a testimonyⓘ.

ὅταν δὲ ⸀παραδῶσιν ὑμᾶς, μὴ μεριμνήσητε πῶς ἢ τί λαλήσητε· δοθήσεται γὰρ ὑμῖν ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ὥρᾳ τί ⸀λαλήσητε·
Ma quando vi consegneranno, non preoccupatevi di come o di che cosa direte, perché vi sarà dato in quell'ora ciò che dovrete dire:
When they hand you overⓘ, do not worry about what to say:

οὐ γὰρ ὑμεῖς ἐστε οἱ λαλοῦντες ἀλλὰ τὸ πνεῦμα τοῦ πατρὸς ὑμῶν τὸ λαλοῦν ἐν ὑμῖν.
infatti non siete voi a parlare, ma è lo Spirito del Padre vostro che parla in voi.
it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Fatherⓘ who speaks in you.

παραδώσει δὲ ἀδελφὸς ἀδελφὸν εἰς θάνατον καὶ πατὴρ τέκνον, καὶ ἐπαναστήσονται τέκνα ἐπὶ γονεῖς καὶ θανατώσουσιν αὐτούς.
Il fratello consegnerà a morte il fratello e il padre il figlio, e i figli si alzeranno contro i genitori e li faranno morire.
Brother will hand brother over to deathⓘ, and the father his child, and children will rise up against their parentsⓘ and put them to death.

καὶ ἔσεσθε μισούμενοι ὑπὸ πάντων διὰ τὸ ὄνομά μου· ὁ δὲ ὑπομείνας εἰς τέλος οὗτος σωθήσεται.
E sarete odiati da tutti a causa del mio nome; ma chi avrà perseverato fino alla fine sarà salvato.
You will be hated by allⓘ on account of my nameⓘ; but whoever perseveres to the end will be savedⓘ.

ὅταν δὲ διώκωσιν ὑμᾶς ἐν τῇ πόλει ταύτῃ, φεύγετε εἰς τὴν ⸀ἑτέραν· ἀμὴν γὰρ λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐ μὴ τελέσητε τὰς πόλεις ⸀τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ ἕως ⸀ἂν ἔλθῃ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου.
Quando vi perseguiteranno in una città, fuggite in un'altra; in verità io vi dico: non finirete di percorrere le città d'Israele prima che venga il Figlio dell'uomo.
When they persecute you in one city, flee to anotherⓘ: you will not finish the cities of Israel before the Son of Manⓘ comes.
