Greek⸀Ὁμοία ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν θησαυρῷ κεκρυμμένῳ ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ, ὃν εὑρὼν ἄνθρωπος ἔκρυψεν, καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς χαρᾶς αὐτοῦ ὑπάγει καὶ ⸂πωλεῖ πάντα ὅσα ἔχει⸃ καὶ ἀγοράζει τὸν ἀγρὸν ἐκεῖνον.
Orthodox ReadingThe Kingdom of Heavenⓘ, the Malkhut Shamayim (the lordship of God that breaks into history), is like a treasure hidden in the fieldⓘ; a man finds it and hides it againⓘ; then he goes, full of joyⓘ, sells all that he hasⓘ and buys that field.

Greekκαὶ βαλοῦσιν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν κάμινον τοῦ πυρός· ἐκεῖ ἔσται ὁ κλαυθμὸς καὶ ὁ βρυγμὸς τῶν ὀδόντων.

Greekὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Διὰ τοῦτο πᾶς γραμματεὺς μαθητευθεὶς ⸂τῇ βασιλείᾳ⸃ τῶν οὐρανῶν ὅμοιός ἐστιν ἀνθρώπῳ οἰκοδεσπότῃ ὅστις ἐκβάλλει ἐκ τοῦ θησαυροῦ αὐτοῦ καινὰ καὶ παλαιά.
Orthodox ReadingAnd he said to them: «For this reason every scribe, every sofer soferⓘ of the soferim, the class of the learned men of the Torah, having become a discipleⓘ, a talmid of the Kingdom of Heaven, is like a master of a household, a ba'al ha-bayit ba'al ha-bayitⓘ, who brings out from his treasureⓘ things new and things oldⓘ, the chadash ve-yashan grafted onto the Torah».
