Καὶ ἐμβάντι αὐτῷ ⸀εἰς πλοῖον ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ.

Salito sulla barca, i suoi discepoli lo seguirono.

Having boarded the boatⓘ, the disciplesⓘ followed himⓘ.

καὶ ἰδοὺ σεισμὸς μέγας ἐγένετο ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ, ὥστε τὸ πλοῖον καλύπτεσθαι ὑπὸ τῶν κυμάτων, αὐτὸς δὲ ἐκάθευδεν.

Ed ecco scoppiò nel mare una tempesta così grande che la barca era ricoperta dalle onde; ma egli dormiva.

And behold, a great tempestⓘ arose on the seaⓘ, so that the boat was covered by the wavesⓘ; but he was sleepingⓘ.

καὶ ⸀προσελθόντες ἤγειραν αὐτὸν λέγοντες· Κύριε, ⸀σῶσον, ἀπολλύμεθα.

Allora si accostarono a lui e lo svegliarono dicendo: «Signore, salvaci, siamo perduti!».

Then they approachedⓘ and woke himⓘ saying: «Lord, save us, we are perishingⓘ!».

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Τί δειλοί ἐστε, ὀλιγόπιστοι; τότε ἐγερθεὶς ἐπετίμησεν τοῖς ἀνέμοις καὶ τῇ θαλάσσῃ, καὶ ἐγένετο γαλήνη μεγάλη.

Ed egli disse loro: «Perché avete paura, uomini di poca fede?». Poi si alzò, minacciò i venti e il mare e ci fu una grande bonaccia.

And he said to them: «Why are you afraidⓘ, men of little faithⓘ?». Then, having risenⓘ, he rebuked the winds and the seaⓘ and there came a great calmⓘ.

οἱ δὲ ἄνθρωποι ἐθαύμασαν λέγοντες· Ποταπός ἐστιν οὗτος ὅτι καὶ οἱ ἄνεμοι καὶ ἡ θάλασσα ⸂αὐτῷ ὑπακούουσιν⸃;

Gli uomini si meravigliarono e dissero: «Chi è mai costui, che perfino i venti e il mare gli obbediscono?».

The menⓘ marveledⓘ saying: «Who then is this, that even the winds and the sea obey himⓘ?».
