Καὶ ⸂ἐλθόντος αὐτοῦ⸃ εἰς τὸ πέραν εἰς τὴν χώραν τῶν ⸀Γαδαρηνῶν ὑπήντησαν αὐτῷ δύο δαιμονιζόμενοι ἐκ τῶν μνημείων ἐξερχόμενοι, χαλεποὶ λίαν ὥστε μὴ ἰσχύειν τινὰ παρελθεῖν διὰ τῆς ὁδοῦ ἐκείνης.
Giunto all'altra riva, nella regione dei Gadareni, due indemoniati, usciti dai sepolcri, gli vennero incontro; erano tanto furiosi che nessuno poteva passare per quella strada.
When he reached the other shoreⓘ, in the region of the Gadarenesⓘ, two demoniacsⓘ who had come out from the tombsⓘ came to meet himⓘ, so fierceⓘ that no one could pass that way.

καὶ ἰδοὺ ἔκραξαν λέγοντες· Τί ἡμῖν καὶ ⸀σοί, υἱὲ τοῦ θεοῦ; ἦλθες ὧδε πρὸ καιροῦ βασανίσαι ἡμᾶς;
Ed ecco si misero a gridare: «Che vuoi da noi, Figlio di Dio? Sei venuto qui a tormentarci prima del tempo?».
And they cried out: «What do you want from us, Son of Godⓘ? Have you come to torment us before the timeⓘ?».

ἦν δὲ μακρὰν ἀπ’ αὐτῶν ἀγέλη χοίρων πολλῶν βοσκομένη.
A una certa distanza da loro c'era una grande mandria di porci al pascolo.
Far off there was grazing a large herd of pigsⓘ.

οἱ δὲ δαίμονες παρεκάλουν αὐτὸν λέγοντες· Εἰ ἐκβάλλεις ἡμᾶς, ⸂ἀπόστειλον ἡμᾶς⸃ εἰς τὴν ἀγέλην τῶν χοίρων.
E i demòni lo scongiuravano dicendo: «Se ci scacci, mandaci nella mandria dei porci».
The demons begged him: «If you cast us out, send usⓘ into the herd of pigs».

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Ὑπάγετε. οἱ δὲ ἐξελθόντες ἀπῆλθον εἰς ⸂τοὺς χοίρους⸃· καὶ ἰδοὺ ὥρμησεν πᾶσα ἡ ⸀ἀγέλη κατὰ τοῦ κρημνοῦ εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, καὶ ἀπέθανον ἐν τοῖς ὕδασιν.
Disse loro: «Andate!». Ed essi uscirono ed entrarono nei porci: ed ecco tutta la mandria si precipitò giù dalla rupe nel mare e morirono nelle acque.
He said: «Goⓘ!». They came out and entered the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the cliffⓘ into the sea and perished in the watersⓘ.

οἱ δὲ βόσκοντες ἔφυγον, καὶ ἀπελθόντες εἰς τὴν πόλιν ἀπήγγειλαν πάντα καὶ τὰ τῶν δαιμονιζομένων.
I mandriani allora fuggirono e, entrati in città, raccontarono ogni cosa e il fatto degli indemoniati.
The herdsmenⓘ fled and in the town reported everything.

καὶ ἰδοὺ πᾶσα ἡ πόλις ἐξῆλθεν εἰς ⸀ὑπάντησιν τῷ Ἰησοῦ, καὶ ἰδόντες αὐτὸν παρεκάλεσαν ὅπως μεταβῇ ἀπὸ τῶν ὁρίων αὐτῶν.
Ed ecco tutta la città uscì incontro a Gesù; quando lo videro, lo pregarono di allontanarsi dal loro territorio.
And the whole town went out to meet Jesusⓘ and begged him to depart from their territoryⓘ.
