Ταῦτα αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος αὐτοῖς ἰδοὺ ἄρχων εἷς ⸀ἐλθὼν προσεκύνει αὐτῷ λέγων ὅτι Ἡ θυγάτηρ μου ἄρτι ἐτελεύτησεν· ἀλλὰ ἐλθὼν ἐπίθες τὴν χεῖρά σου ἐπ’ αὐτήν, καὶ ζήσεται.
Mentre diceva loro queste cose, ecco giunse uno dei capi che si prostrò dinanzi a lui e gli disse: «Mia figlia è morta proprio ora; ma vieni, imponi la tua mano su di lei e vivrà».
While he was telling them these things, behold, a synagogue ruler (archisynagōgos)ⓘ came, prostrated himselfⓘ before him saying: «My daughter has just diedⓘ; but come, lay your hand (semikhah)ⓘ on her and she will live».

καὶ ἐγερθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ⸀ἠκολούθει αὐτῷ καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ.
Gesù si alzò e lo seguì con i suoi discepoli.
And Jesus rose and followed himⓘ with his disciplesⓘ.

Καὶ ἰδοὺ γυνὴ αἱμορροοῦσα δώδεκα ἔτη προσελθοῦσα ὄπισθεν ἥψατο τοῦ κρασπέδου τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ·
Ed ecco una donna, che soffriva di emorragia da dodici anni, gli si avvicinò alle spalle e toccò il lembo del suo mantello.
And behold, a woman in a state of ritual impurity (zavah)ⓘ for twelve years approached him from behindⓘ and touched the fringed hem (tzitzit)ⓘ of his cloak.

ἔλεγεν γὰρ ἐν ἑαυτῇ· Ἐὰν μόνον ἅψωμαι τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ σωθήσομαι.
Diceva infatti tra sé: «Se riuscirò anche solo a toccare il suo mantello, sarò salvata».
For she was saying to herself: «If only I touch his cloak, I will be savedⓘ».

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς ⸀στραφεὶς καὶ ἰδὼν αὐτὴν εἶπεν· Θάρσει, θύγατερ· ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε. καὶ ἐσώθη ἡ γυνὴ ἀπὸ τῆς ὥρας ἐκείνης.
Gesù si voltò, la vide e disse: «Coraggio, figlia, la tua fede ti ha salvata». E da quell'istante la donna fu salvata.
Jesus turned and, seeing her, said: «Take courage, daughter, your faith has saved youⓘ». And from that instantⓘ the woman was saved.

καὶ ἐλθὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν τοῦ ἄρχοντος καὶ ἰδὼν τοὺς αὐλητὰς καὶ τὸν ὄχλον θορυβούμενον
Arrivato poi nella casa del capo e veduti i flautisti e la folla in agitazione,
When Jesus came into the ruler's house, he saw the flute players and the mourning women (aulētaí)ⓘ and the crowd in uproarⓘ,

⸀ἔλεγεν· Ἀναχωρεῖτε, οὐ γὰρ ἀπέθανεν τὸ κοράσιον ἀλλὰ καθεύδει· καὶ κατεγέλων αὐτοῦ.
disse: «Andate via! La fanciulla infatti non è morta, ma dorme». E lo deridevano.
and he said: «Withdrawⓘ, the girl is not dead but sleepingⓘ». And they were mocking himⓘ.

ὅτε δὲ ἐξεβλήθη ὁ ὄχλος, εἰσελθὼν ἐκράτησεν τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῆς, καὶ ἠγέρθη τὸ κοράσιον.
Ma dopo che la folla fu cacciata via, egli entrò, le prese la mano e la fanciulla si alzò.
But when the crowdⓘ had been put outside, he entered, took her handⓘ and the girl roseⓘ.

καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἡ φήμη αὕτη εἰς ὅλην τὴν γῆν ἐκείνην.
E se ne sparse la fama in tutta quella regione.
And the report of it spreadⓘ throughout all that region.
