GreekΤαῦτα ⸀εἰπὼν Ἰησοῦς ἐξῆλθεν σὺν τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ πέραν τοῦ χειμάρρου ⸀τοῦ Κεδρὼν ὅπου ἦν κῆπος, εἰς ὃν εἰσῆλθεν αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ.
Gnostic TranslationDette queste cose, Gesù uscì con i suoi discepoli al di là del torrente Cedron, dove c'era un giardino, nel quale entrò con i suoi discepoli.

Gnostic TranslationGiuda dunque vi andò, dopo aver preso un gruppo di soldati e alcune guardie fornite dai capi dei sacerdoti e dai farisei, con lanterne, fiaccole e armi.
Orthodox ReadingSo Judas, having taken the cohortⓘ and, supplied by the archiereis (the kohanim of the temple leadership) and the Pharisees (perushim, the observant), some Temple guardsⓘ, comes there with lanterns and torchesⓘ and weaponsⓘ.

Gnostic TranslationGli risposero: «Gesù, il Nazareno». Disse loro Gesù: «Sono io!». Vi era con loro anche Giuda, il traditore.
Orthodox ReadingThey answered him: «Jesus the Nazarene». He says to them: «I AMⓘ». Judas, who was handing him over, was also standing with them.

Gnostic TranslationAppena disse loro «Sono io», indietreggiarono e caddero a terra.

GreekΣίμων οὖν Πέτρος ἔχων μάχαιραν εἵλκυσεν αὐτὴν καὶ ἔπαισεν τὸν τοῦ ἀρχιερέως δοῦλον καὶ ἀπέκοψεν αὐτοῦ τὸ ⸀ὠτάριον τὸ δεξιόν. ἦν δὲ ὄνομα τῷ δούλῳ Μάλχος.
Gnostic TranslationAllora Simon Pietro, che aveva una spada, la trasse fuori, colpì il servo del sommo sacerdote e gli tagliò l'orecchio destro. Quel servo si chiamava Malco.
Orthodox ReadingThen Simon Peter, who had a swordⓘ, drew it and struck the servantⓘ of the archiereus, the high priest (kohen gadol), and cut off his right earⓘ. The servant's name was Malchusⓘ.

Gnostic TranslationGesù allora disse a Pietro: «Rimetti la spada nel fodero: il calice che il Padre mi ha dato, non dovrò berlo?».
