Τῇ δὲ μιᾷ τῶν σαββάτων Μαρία ἡ Μαγδαληνὴ ἔρχεται πρωῒ σκοτίας ἔτι οὔσης εἰς τὸ μνημεῖον, καὶ βλέπει τὸν λίθον ἠρμένον ἐκ τοῦ μνημείου.
Il primo giorno della settimana, Maria di Màgdala si recò al sepolcro di mattino, quando era ancora buio, e vide che la pietra era stata tolta dal sepolcro.
On the first day after the Shabbat (yom echad ba-shabbat)ⓘ, Mary the Magdaleneⓘ comes to the tombⓘ early, while it was still darkⓘ, and sees the stone removedⓘ from the tomb.

τρέχει οὖν καὶ ἔρχεται πρὸς Σίμωνα Πέτρον καὶ πρὸς τὸν ἄλλον μαθητὴν ὃν ἐφίλει ὁ Ἰησοῦς, καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Ἦραν τὸν κύριον ἐκ τοῦ μνημείου, καὶ οὐκ οἴδαμεν ποῦ ἔθηκαν αὐτόν.
Corse allora e andò da Simon Pietro e dall'altro discepolo, quello che Gesù amava, e disse loro: «Hanno portato via il Signore dal sepolcro e non sappiamo dove l'hanno posto!».
She runs thereforeⓘ and goes to Simon Peterⓘ and to the other disciple, the one whom Jesus lovedⓘ, and says to them: «They have taken awayⓘ the Lordⓘ from the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid himⓘ».

ἐξῆλθεν οὖν ὁ Πέτρος καὶ ὁ ἄλλος μαθητής, καὶ ἤρχοντο εἰς τὸ μνημεῖον.
Pietro allora uscì insieme all'altro discepolo e si recarono al sepolcro.
Peter then went outⓘ and the other disciple, and they were going to the tomb.

ἔτρεχον δὲ οἱ δύο ὁμοῦ· καὶ ὁ ἄλλος μαθητὴς προέδραμεν τάχιον τοῦ Πέτρου καὶ ἦλθεν πρῶτος εἰς τὸ μνημεῖον,
Correvano insieme tutti e due, ma l'altro discepolo corse più veloce di Pietro e giunse per primo al sepolcro.
The two were running togetherⓘ, and the other disciple ran ahead faster than Peterⓘ and reached the tomb firstⓘ.

καὶ παρακύψας βλέπει κείμενα τὰ ὀθόνια, οὐ μέντοι εἰσῆλθεν.
Si chinò, vide i teli posati là, ma non entrò.
And stooping down he sees the linen cloths lyingⓘ, the bands of the Jewish funerary preparation (taharat ha-metⓘ), yet he did not enter.

ἔρχεται οὖν ⸀καὶ Σίμων Πέτρος ἀκολουθῶν αὐτῷ, καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸ μνημεῖον· καὶ θεωρεῖ τὰ ὀθόνια κείμενα,
Giunse intanto anche Simon Pietro, che lo seguiva, ed entrò nel sepolcro e osservò i teli posati là,
Simon Peter therefore also comesⓘ following him, and he entered the tombⓘ and observes the linen cloths lying,

καὶ τὸ σουδάριον, ὃ ἦν ἐπὶ τῆς κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦ, οὐ μετὰ τῶν ὀθονίων κείμενον ἀλλὰ χωρὶς ἐντετυλιγμένον εἰς ἕνα τόπον·
e il sudario – che era stato sul suo capo – non posato là con i teli, ma avvolto in un luogo a parte.
and the sudariumⓘ, which according to Jewish burial had been on his head, not lying with the linen cloths but wrapped apart in a single placeⓘ.

τότε οὖν εἰσῆλθεν καὶ ὁ ἄλλος μαθητὴς ὁ ἐλθὼν πρῶτος εἰς τὸ μνημεῖον, καὶ εἶδεν καὶ ἐπίστευσεν·
Allora entrò anche l'altro discepolo, che era giunto per primo al sepolcro, e vide e credette.
Then the other disciple also entered, he who had reached it firstⓘ at the tomb, and he saw and believedⓘ.

οὐδέπω γὰρ ᾔδεισαν τὴν γραφὴν ὅτι δεῖ αὐτὸν ἐκ νεκρῶν ἀναστῆναι.
Infatti non avevano ancora compreso la Scrittura, che cioè egli doveva risorgere dai morti.
For they had not yet understood the Scriptureⓘ, that is, that he must rise from the deadⓘ.

ἀπῆλθον οὖν πάλιν πρὸς ⸀αὑτοὺς οἱ μαθηταί.
I discepoli perciò se ne tornarono di nuovo a casa.
The disciples therefore went away again to their own homesⓘ.
