Ἦλθεν δὲ ἡ ἡμέρα τῶν ἀζύμων, ⸀ᾗ ἔδει θύεσθαι τὸ πάσχα·
Venne il giorno degli Azzimi, nel quale si doveva immolare la Pasqua.
Then came the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the Passover had to be sacrificedⓘ.

καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Πέτρον καὶ Ἰωάννην εἰπών· Πορευθέντες ἑτοιμάσατε ἡμῖν τὸ πάσχα ἵνα φάγωμεν.
Gesù mandò Pietro e Giovanni dicendo: «Andate a preparare per noi, perché possiamo mangiare la Pasqua».
Jesus sent Peter and John: «Go and prepare the Passoverⓘ».

οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· Ποῦ θέλεις ⸀ἑτοιμάσωμεν;
Gli chiesero: «Dove vuoi che la prepariamo?».
«Where do you want us to?».

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Ἰδοὺ εἰσελθόντων ὑμῶν εἰς τὴν πόλιν συναντήσει ὑμῖν ἄνθρωπος κεράμιον ὕδατος βαστάζων· ἀκολουθήσατε αὐτῷ εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν ⸂εἰς ἣν⸃ εἰσπορεύεται.
Ed egli rispose: «Appena entrati in città, vi verrà incontro un uomo che porta una brocca d'acqua. Seguitelo nella casa in cui entrerà
«A man carrying a jar of waterⓘ will meet you; follow him.

καὶ ἐρεῖτε τῷ οἰκοδεσπότῃ τῆς οἰκίας· Λέγει σοι ὁ διδάσκαλος· Ποῦ ἐστιν τὸ κατάλυμα ὅπου τὸ πάσχα μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν μου φάγω;
e direte al padrone di casa: Il Maestro ti dice: Dov'è la stanza in cui posso mangiare la Pasqua con i miei discepoli?
Say to the master of the houseⓘ: The Teacher says: Where is the roomⓘ where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?

κἀκεῖνος ὑμῖν δείξει ἀνάγαιον μέγα ἐστρωμένον· ἐκεῖ ἑτοιμάσατε.
Egli vi mostrerà al piano superiore una grande sala, già arredata; lì preparate».
He will show you a large furnished upper room; prepare it there».

ἀπελθόντες δὲ εὗρον καθὼς ⸀εἰρήκει αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἡτοίμασαν τὸ πάσχα.
Andarono e trovarono come aveva detto loro e prepararono la Pasqua.
They went and prepared the Passover.

Καὶ ὅτε ἐγένετο ἡ ὥρα, ἀνέπεσεν καὶ ⸀οἱ ἀπόστολοι σὺν αὐτῷ.
Quando venne l'ora, prese posto a tavola e gli apostoli con lui.
When the hour came, he reclined at table, and the apostles with him.

καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς· Ἐπιθυμίᾳ ἐπεθύμησα τοῦτο τὸ πάσχα φαγεῖν μεθ’ ὑμῶν πρὸ τοῦ με παθεῖν·
E disse loro: «Ho tanto desiderato mangiare questa Pasqua con voi, prima della mia passione,
«I have so greatly desired to eat this Passover with you before my passionⓘ,

λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν ⸀ὅτι οὐ μὴ φάγω ⸀αὐτὸ ἕως ὅτου πληρωθῇ ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τοῦ θεοῦ.
perché io vi dico: non la mangerò più, finché essa non si compia nel regno di Dio».
for I will not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of Godⓘ».

καὶ δεξάμενος ποτήριον εὐχαριστήσας εἶπεν· Λάβετε τοῦτο καὶ διαμερίσατε ⸂εἰς ἑαυτούς⸃·
E, ricevuto un calice, rese grazie e disse: «Prendetelo e fatelo passare tra voi,
Having received a cup, he gave thanksⓘ: «Take this and share it among you,

λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν, ⸀οὐ μὴ πίω ἀπὸ τοῦ ⸂νῦν ἀπὸ τοῦ⸃ γενήματος τῆς ἀμπέλου ἕως ⸀οὗ ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ ἔλθῃ.
perché io vi dico: da questo momento non berrò più del frutto della vite, finché non venga il regno di Dio».
for I will not drink again of the fruit of the vineⓘ until the kingdom of God comes».

καὶ λαβὼν ἄρτον εὐχαριστήσας ἔκλασεν καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς λέγων· Τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ σῶμά μου ⸂[τὸ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν διδόμενον· τοῦτο ποιεῖτε εἰς τὴν ἐμὴν ἀνάμνησιν.
Poi prese il pane, rese grazie, lo spezzò e lo diede loro dicendo: «Questo è il mio corpo, che è dato per voi; fate questo in memoria di me».
Then he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave itⓘ: «This is my body, which is given for you; do this in remembrance of meⓘ».

⸄καὶ τὸ ποτήριον ὡσαύτως⸅ μετὰ τὸ δειπνῆσαι, λέγων· Τοῦτο τὸ ποτήριον ἡ καινὴ διαθήκη ἐν τῷ αἵματί μου, τὸ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν ἐκχυννόμενον]⸃.
E, dopo aver cenato, fece lo stesso con il calice dicendo: «Questo calice è la nuova alleanza nel mio sangue, che è versato per voi.
After supper, the cup: «This cup is the new covenant in my blood, poured out for youⓘ.

πλὴν ἰδοὺ ἡ χεὶρ τοῦ παραδιδόντος με μετ’ ἐμοῦ ἐπὶ τῆς τραπέζης·
Ma ecco, la mano di chi mi tradisce è con me, sulla tavola.
But the hand of the one who betrays me is with me on the tableⓘ.

⸂ὅτι ὁ υἱὸς μὲν⸃ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ⸂κατὰ τὸ ὡρισμένον πορεύεται⸃, πλὴν οὐαὶ τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ἐκείνῳ δι’ οὗ παραδίδοται.
Il Figlio dell'uomo se ne va, secondo quanto è stabilito; ma guai a quell'uomo dal quale egli viene tradito!».
The Son of Manⓘ goes according to what has been determinedⓘ; but woe to that man!».

καὶ αὐτοὶ ἤρξαντο συζητεῖν πρὸς ἑαυτοὺς τὸ τίς ἄρα εἴη ἐξ αὐτῶν ὁ τοῦτο μέλλων πράσσειν.
Allora essi cominciarono a domandarsi a vicenda chi di loro avrebbe fatto questo.
They began to question among themselves which of them would do it.
