Συγκαλεσάμενος δὲ τοὺς δώδεκα ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς δύναμιν καὶ ἐξουσίαν ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ δαιμόνια καὶ νόσους θεραπεύειν,
Convocati i Dodici, diede loro forza e potere su tutti i demòni e di guarire le malattie.
Having summoned the Twelveⓘ, he gave them strength and power over all demonsⓘ and to heal diseases.

καὶ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτοὺς κηρύσσειν τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἰᾶσθαι ⸂τοὺς ἀσθενεῖς⸃,
E li mandò ad annunciare il regno di Dio e a guarire gli infermi.
And he sent them as his shluchim (envoys with the master's mandate)ⓘ to proclaim the kingdom of Godⓘ and to heal the sick.

καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς· Μηδὲν αἴρετε εἰς τὴν ὁδόν, μήτε ⸀ῥάβδον μήτε πήραν μήτε ἄρτον μήτε ἀργύριον, μήτε ⸀ἀνὰ δύο χιτῶνας ἔχειν.
Disse loro: «Non prendete nulla per il viaggio, né bastone, né sacca, né pane, né denaro, e non abbiate due tuniche a testa.
«Take nothing for the journey, neither staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor moneyⓘ, and do not have two tunics.

καὶ εἰς ἣν ἂν οἰκίαν εἰσέλθητε, ἐκεῖ μένετε καὶ ἐκεῖθεν ἐξέρχεσθε.
In qualunque casa entriate, rimanetevi e di lì poi ripartite.
Whatever house you enter, remain there.

καὶ ὅσοι ⸀ἂν μὴ ⸀δέχωνται ὑμᾶς, ἐξερχόμενοι ἀπὸ τῆς πόλεως ⸀ἐκείνης τὸν κονιορτὸν ἀπὸ τῶν ποδῶν ὑμῶν ⸀ἀποτινάσσετε εἰς μαρτύριον ἐπ’ αὐτούς.
Quanto a coloro che non vi accolgono, uscite dalla loro città e scuotete la polvere dai vostri piedi come testimonianza contro di loro».
As for whoever does not welcome you, shake the dust from your feetⓘ as a testimony against them».

ἐξερχόμενοι δὲ διήρχοντο κατὰ τὰς κώμας εὐαγγελιζόμενοι καὶ θεραπεύοντες πανταχοῦ.
Allora essi partirono e giravano di villaggio in villaggio, annunciando dovunque la buona notizia e operando guarigioni.
They set out and went from village to village, proclaiming and healingⓘ.

Ἤκουσεν δὲ Ἡρῴδης ὁ τετραάρχης τὰ ⸀γινόμενα πάντα, καὶ διηπόρει διὰ τὸ λέγεσθαι ὑπό τινων ὅτι Ἰωάννης ⸀ἠγέρθη ἐκ νεκρῶν,
Intanto il tetrarca Erode sentì parlare di tutti questi avvenimenti e non sapeva che cosa pensare, perché alcuni dicevano: «Giovanni è risorto dai morti»,
The tetrarch Herodⓘ heard of everything and did not know what to think, because some were saying: «John has risen from the deadⓘ»,

ὑπό τινων δὲ ὅτι Ἠλίας ἐφάνη, ἄλλων δὲ ὅτι προφήτης ⸀τις τῶν ἀρχαίων ἀνέστη.
altri: «È apparso Elia», e altri ancora: «È risorto uno degli antichi profeti».
others: «Elijah has appearedⓘ», others: «One of the ancient prophetsⓘ has risen».

⸂εἶπεν δὲ⸃ ⸀ὁ Ἡρῴδης· Ἰωάννην ἐγὼ ἀπεκεφάλισα· τίς δέ ἐστιν οὗτος περὶ ⸀οὗ ἀκούω τοιαῦτα; καὶ ἐζήτει ἰδεῖν αὐτόν.
Ma Erode diceva: «Giovanni, l'ho fatto decapitare io; chi è dunque costui, del quale sento dire queste cose?». E cercava di vederlo.
But Herod said: «John I had beheaded myselfⓘ; who then is this man?». And he was seeking to see him.

Καὶ ὑποστρέψαντες οἱ ἀπόστολοι διηγήσαντο αὐτῷ ὅσα ἐποίησαν. καὶ παραλαβὼν αὐτοὺς ὑπεχώρησεν κατ’ ἰδίαν εἰς ⸂πόλιν καλουμένην Βηθσαϊδά⸃.
Al loro ritorno, gli apostoli raccontarono a Gesù tutto quello che avevano fatto. Allora li prese con sé e si ritirò in disparte, verso una città chiamata Betsàida.
On their return, the shluchim (envoys)ⓘ recounted to him everything. He took them with him toward Bethsaidaⓘ.

οἱ δὲ ὄχλοι γνόντες ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ. καὶ ⸀ἀποδεξάμενος αὐτοὺς ἐλάλει αὐτοῖς περὶ τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ θεοῦ, καὶ τοὺς χρείαν ἔχοντας θεραπείας ἰᾶτο.
Ma le folle vennero a saperlo e lo seguirono. Egli le accolse e prese a parlare loro del regno di Dio e a guarire quanti avevano bisogno di cure.
The crowds of the am ha-aretz, the people of the land not affiliated with the brotherhoods of observanceⓘ followed him; he welcomed them and began to speak to them of the kingdom of Godⓘ and healed the sick.

Ἡ δὲ ἡμέρα ἤρξατο κλίνειν· προσελθόντες δὲ οἱ δώδεκα εἶπαν αὐτῷ· Ἀπόλυσον τὸν ὄχλον, ἵνα ⸀πορευθέντες εἰς τὰς κύκλῳ κώμας ⸀καὶ ἀγροὺς καταλύσωσιν καὶ εὕρωσιν ἐπισιτισμόν, ὅτι ὧδε ἐν ἐρήμῳ τόπῳ ἐσμέν.
Il giorno cominciava a declinare e i Dodici gli si avvicinarono dicendo: «Congeda la folla perché vada nei villaggi e nelle campagne dei dintorni, per alloggiare e trovare cibo: qui siamo in una zona deserta».
As the day was declining, the Twelve said: «Dismiss the crowd of am ha-aretzⓘ: here is a deserted place».

εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτούς· Δότε αὐτοῖς ⸂ὑμεῖς φαγεῖν⸃. οἱ δὲ εἶπαν· Οὐκ εἰσὶν ἡμῖν πλεῖον ἢ ⸂ἄρτοι πέντε⸃ καὶ ἰχθύες δύο, εἰ μήτι πορευθέντες ἡμεῖς ἀγοράσωμεν εἰς πάντα τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον βρώματα.
Gesù disse loro: «Voi stessi date loro da mangiare». Ma essi risposero: «Non abbiamo che cinque pani e due pesci, a meno che non andiamo noi a comprare viveri per tutta questa gente».
«You yourselves give them to eatⓘ». «We have only five loaves and two fishⓘ».

ἦσαν γὰρ ὡσεὶ ἄνδρες πεντακισχίλιοι. εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ· Κατακλίνατε αὐτοὺς κλισίας ⸀ὡσεὶ ἀνὰ πεντήκοντα.
C'erano infatti circa cinquemila uomini. Egli disse ai suoi discepoli: «Fateli sedere a gruppi di cinquanta circa».
There were about five thousand menⓘ. He said to his disciplesⓘ: «Have them sit in groups of fiftyⓘ».

καὶ ἐποίησαν οὕτως καὶ ⸀κατέκλιναν ἅπαντας.
Fecero così e li fecero sedere tutti quanti.
They did so.

λαβὼν δὲ τοὺς πέντε ἄρτους καὶ τοὺς δύο ἰχθύας ἀναβλέψας εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν εὐλόγησεν αὐτοὺς καὶ κατέκλασεν καὶ ἐδίδου τοῖς μαθηταῖς ⸀παραθεῖναι τῷ ὄχλῳ.
Egli prese i cinque pani e i due pesci, alzò gli occhi al cielo, recitò su di essi la benedizione, li spezzò e li dava ai discepoli perché li distribuissero alla folla.
He took the five loaves and the two fish, raised his eyes to heaven, pronounced the berakhah, broke them and kept giving themⓘ to the disciples for the crowd.

καὶ ἔφαγον καὶ ἐχορτάσθησαν πάντες, καὶ ἤρθη τὸ περισσεῦσαν αὐτοῖς κλασμάτων κόφινοι δώδεκα.
Tutti mangiarono a sazietà e furono portati via i pezzi loro avanzati: dodici ceste.
All ate to satietyⓘ; there were gathered twelve basketsⓘ of leftovers.
