Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ συμπληροῦσθαι τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ἀναλήμψεως αὐτοῦ καὶ αὐτὸς τὸ ⸀πρόσωπον ⸀ἐστήρισεν τοῦ πορεύεσθαι εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ,
Mentre stavano compiendosi i giorni in cui sarebbe stato tolto dal mondo, egli prese la ferma decisione di mettersi in cammino verso Gerusalemme
When the days were drawing to fulfillment in which he was to be taken up from the worldⓘ, he set his face firmly to journey toward Jerusalemⓘ

καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ἀγγέλους πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ. καὶ πορευθέντες εἰσῆλθον εἰς κώμην Σαμαριτῶν, ⸀ὡς ἑτοιμάσαι αὐτῷ·
e mandò messaggeri davanti a sé. Questi si incamminarono ed entrarono in un villaggio di Samaritani per fare i preparativi per lui.
and he sent messengers ahead of himselfⓘ, who entered a village of Samaritansⓘ to make preparations.

καὶ οὐκ ἐδέξαντο αὐτόν, ὅτι τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἦν πορευόμενον εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ.
Ma essi non vollero riceverlo, perché era chiaramente in cammino verso Gerusalemme.
But they would not receive him, because he was journeying toward Jerusalemⓘ.

ἰδόντες δὲ οἱ ⸀μαθηταὶ Ἰάκωβος καὶ Ἰωάννης εἶπαν· Κύριε, θέλεις εἴπωμεν πῦρ καταβῆναι ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἀναλῶσαι ⸀αὐτούς;
Quando videro ciò, i discepoli Giacomo e Giovanni dissero: «Signore, vuoi che diciamo che scenda un fuoco dal cielo e li consumi?».
James and John said: «Lord, do you want us to tell fire to come down from heaven and consume themⓘ?».

στραφεὶς δὲ ἐπετίμησεν ⸀αὐτοῖς.
Si voltò e li rimproverò.
He turned and rebuked themⓘ.
56
⸀καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν εἰς ἑτέραν κώμην.
E si misero in cammino verso un altro villaggio.
And they set out toward another village.
57
⸀Καὶ πορευομένων αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ εἶπέν τις πρὸς αὐτόν· Ἀκολουθήσω σοι ὅπου ⸀ἐὰν ⸀ἀπέρχῃ.
Mentre camminavano per la strada, un tale gli disse: «Ti seguirò dovunque tu vada».
Along the road someone said to him: «I will follow you wherever you go».

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Αἱ ἀλώπεκες φωλεοὺς ἔχουσιν καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατασκηνώσεις, ὁ δὲ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου οὐκ ἔχει ποῦ τὴν κεφαλὴν κλίνῃ.
E Gesù gli rispose: «Le volpi hanno le loro tane e gli uccelli del cielo i loro nidi, ma il Figlio dell'uomo non ha dove posare il capo».
Jesus answered: «The foxes have their densⓘ and the birds their nests, but the Son of Manⓘ has nowhere to lay his head».

εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς ἕτερον· Ἀκολούθει μοι. ὁ δὲ εἶπεν· ⸀Κύριε, ἐπίτρεψόν μοι ⸂ἀπελθόντι πρῶτον⸃ θάψαι τὸν πατέρα μου.
A un altro disse: «Seguimi». E costui rispose: «Signore, permettimi di andare prima a seppellire mio padre».
To another he said: «Follow meⓘ». And that one said: «Lord, allow me first to go and bury my fatherⓘ».

εἶπεν δὲ ⸀αὐτῷ· Ἄφες τοὺς νεκροὺς θάψαι τοὺς ἑαυτῶν νεκρούς, σὺ δὲ ἀπελθὼν διάγγελλε τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ.
Gli replicò: «Lascia che i morti seppelliscano i loro morti; tu invece va' e annuncia il regno di Dio».
He replied: «Let the dead bury their own deadⓘ; but you, go and proclaim the kingdom of Godⓘ».

εἶπεν δὲ καὶ ἕτερος· Ἀκολουθήσω σοι, κύριε· πρῶτον δὲ ἐπίτρεψόν μοι ἀποτάξασθαι τοῖς εἰς τὸν οἶκόν μου.
Un altro disse: «Ti seguirò, Signore, ma prima lascia che io mi congedi da quelli di casa mia».
Another said: «I will follow you, but first let me take leave of those of my householdⓘ».

εἶπεν δὲ ⸂ὁ Ἰησοῦς⸃· Οὐδεὶς ἐπιβαλὼν τὴν ⸀χεῖρα ἐπ’ ἄροτρον καὶ βλέπων εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω εὔθετός ἐστιν ⸂τῇ βασιλείᾳ⸃ τοῦ θεοῦ.
Ma Gesù gli rispose: «Nessuno che mette mano all'aratro e poi si volge indietro è adatto per il regno di Dio».
Jesus answered: «No one who puts a hand to the plow and turns backⓘ is fit for the kingdom of God».
