30
The shelichim, the sent onesⓘ gathered around him and reported to him all that they had done and taughtⓘ.
31
«Come away by yourselves apartⓘ, to a deserted placeⓘ, and rest a while»: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.
34
When he disembarked from the boat, he saw a great crowd of am ha-aretz, the non-observant common folk without halakhic guidanceⓘ, and he was moved in the inward partsⓘ for them, because they were like sheep that have no shepherdⓘ, and he began to teach them many thingsⓘ.
37
ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Δότε αὐτοῖς ὑμεῖς φαγεῖν. καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ· Ἀπελθόντες ἀγοράσωμεν δηναρίων διακοσίων ἄρτους καὶ ⸀δώσομεν αὐτοῖς φαγεῖν;
«Date voi stessi da mangiare a loro».
But he answered them: «You yourselves give them to eatⓘ». And they say to him: «Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of breadⓘ and give them to eat?».
41
And having taken the five loaves and the two fish, having lifted his eyes to heavenⓘ, he blessedⓘ and broke the loavesⓘ and gave them to the disciples to set before them; and he dividedⓘ the two fish among all.
42
Tutti mangiarono a sazietà
And they all ate and were satisfiedⓘ,
43
e portarono via i pezzi di pane: dodici ceste piene.
and they carried away the leftover pieces, twelve baskets fullⓘ, and also of the fish.
