Ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ προσῆλθον αὐτῷ Σαδδουκαῖοι, ⸀λέγοντες μὴ εἶναι ἀνάστασιν, καὶ ἐπηρώτησαν αὐτὸν
In quello stesso giorno vennero da lui alcuni sadducei, i quali dicono che non c'è risurrezione, e lo interrogarono:
That dayⓘ the Sadducees (the tzedukim)ⓘ came to him, those who deny the resurrection (techiyat ha-metim)ⓘ, and they questioned himⓘ:

λέγοντες· Διδάσκαλε, Μωϋσῆς εἶπεν· Ἐάν τις ἀποθάνῃ μὴ ἔχων τέκνα, ἐπιγαμβρεύσει ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀναστήσει σπέρμα τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ.
«Maestro, Mosè disse: Se uno muore senza figli, suo fratello ne sposerà la moglie, per dare una discendenza al proprio fratello.
«Teacherⓘ, Moses saidⓘ: if a man dies childless, his brother shall marry the wife and raise up a descendant for the brother according to the levirate (yibbum)ⓘ.

ἦσαν δὲ παρ’ ἡμῖν ἑπτὰ ἀδελφοί· καὶ ὁ πρῶτος ⸀γήμας ἐτελεύτησεν, καὶ μὴ ἔχων σπέρμα ἀφῆκεν τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ·
Ora, c'erano tra noi sette fratelli; il primo, appena sposato, morì e, non avendo discendenza, lasciò la moglie a suo fratello.
There were among usⓘ seven brothersⓘ; the first, having married, died without descendantⓘ and left the wife to his brother,

ὁμοίως καὶ ὁ δεύτερος καὶ ὁ τρίτος, ἕως τῶν ἑπτά·
Così anche il secondo, e il terzo, fino al settimo.
and so the second and the third, down to the seventh.
27
ὕστερον δὲ πάντων ἀπέθανεν ⸀ἡ γυνή.
Alla fine, dopo tutti, morì la donna.
Lastⓘ the woman died.
28
ἐν τῇ ⸂ἀναστάσει οὖν⸃ τίνος τῶν ἑπτὰ ἔσται γυνή; πάντες γὰρ ἔσχον αὐτήν.
Alla risurrezione, dunque, di quale dei sette essa sarà moglie? Poiché tutti l'hanno avuta».
At the resurrection (techiyat ha-metim)ⓘ, then, of which of the seven will she be the wife? For all of them had her».

Ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Πλανᾶσθε μὴ εἰδότες τὰς γραφὰς μηδὲ τὴν δύναμιν τοῦ θεοῦ·
E Gesù rispose loro: «Vi ingannate, perché non conoscete le Scritture e neppure la potenza di Dio.
Jesus answered: «You are deceivedⓘ, because you know neither the Scripturesⓘ nor the power (gevurah) of Godⓘ.

ἐν γὰρ τῇ ἀναστάσει οὔτε γαμοῦσιν οὔτε ⸀γαμίζονται, ἀλλ’ ὡς ἄγγελοι ⸀θεοῦ ἐν ⸀τῷ οὐρανῷ εἰσιν·
Alla risurrezione infatti non si prende né moglie né marito, ma si è come angeli nel cielo.
For at the resurrection there is neither marrying nor giving in marriage, but one is like angels of God in heavenⓘ.

περὶ δὲ τῆς ἀναστάσεως τῶν νεκρῶν οὐκ ἀνέγνωτε τὸ ῥηθὲν ὑμῖν ὑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ λέγοντος·
Quanto poi alla risurrezione dei morti, non avete letto quello che vi è stato detto da Dio:
As for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read in the Torah (the written instruction)ⓘ what was spoken to you by God:

Ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ θεὸς Ἀβραὰμ καὶ ὁ θεὸς Ἰσαὰκ καὶ ὁ θεὸς Ἰακώβ; οὐκ ἔστιν ⸂ὁ θεὸς⸃ νεκρῶν ἀλλὰ ζώντων.
Io sono il Dio di Abramo, il Dio di Isacco e il Dio di Giacobbe? Non è il Dio dei morti, ma dei viventi!».
I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacobⓘ? He is not the God of the dead, but of the livingⓘ!».

καὶ ἀκούσαντες οἱ ὄχλοι ἐξεπλήσσοντο ἐπὶ τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ.
Udendo ciò, la folla era sbalordita dal suo insegnamento.
And the crowdsⓘ, having heard this, continued to be astoundedⓘ at his teachingⓘ.
