Ἐξερχόμενοι δὲ εὗρον ἄνθρωπον Κυρηναῖον ὀνόματι Σίμωνα· τοῦτον ἠγγάρευσαν ἵνα ἄρῃ τὸν σταυρὸν αὐτοῦ.
Mentre uscivano, incontrarono un uomo di Cirene, di nome Simone, e lo costrinsero a portare la sua croce.
As they went out, they found a man of Cyreneⓘ, named Simon; and this man they compelled by authorityⓘ to carry his cross.

Καὶ ἐλθόντες εἰς τόπον λεγόμενον Γολγοθᾶ, ὅ ἐστιν ⸂Κρανίου Τόπος λεγόμενος⸃,
Giunti al luogo detto Gòlgota, che significa «luogo del cranio»,
And having reached the place called Golgothaⓘ, which means «place of the skull»,

ἔδωκαν αὐτῷ πιεῖν ⸀οἶνον μετὰ χολῆς μεμιγμένον· καὶ γευσάμενος οὐκ ⸀ἠθέλησεν πιεῖν.
gli diedero da bere vino mescolato con fiele; ma egli, assaggiatolo, non ne volle bere.
they gave him to drink wine mixed with gallⓘ; and having tasted it, he would not drink.

σταυρώσαντες δὲ αὐτὸν διεμερίσαντο τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ βάλλοντες κλῆρον,
Dopo averlo crocifisso, si divisero le sue vesti, tirandole a sorte.
And having crucified him, they divided his garments, casting lotsⓘ.

καὶ καθήμενοι ἐτήρουν αὐτὸν ἐκεῖ.
E, seduti, gli facevano la guardia.
And, sitting down, they kept guard over him there.
37
καὶ ἐπέθηκαν ἐπάνω τῆς κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦ τὴν αἰτίαν αὐτοῦ γεγραμμένην· Οὗτός ἐστιν Ἰησοῦς ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων.
Al di sopra del suo capo posero il motivo scritto della sua condanna: «Questi è Gesù, il re dei Giudei».
And they set above his head the written charge against himⓘ: «This is Jesus, the king of the Jewsⓘ».

Τότε σταυροῦνται σὺν αὐτῷ δύο λῃσταί, εἷς ἐκ δεξιῶν καὶ εἷς ἐξ εὐωνύμων.
Insieme a lui vennero crocifissi due ladroni, uno a destra e uno a sinistra.
Then two armed rebels (biryōn)ⓘ are crucified with him, one on the right and one on the left.

οἱ δὲ παραπορευόμενοι ἐβλασφήμουν αὐτὸν κινοῦντες τὰς κεφαλὰς αὐτῶν
Quelli che passavano lo insultavano, scuotendo il capo
And those who passed by reviled him, shaking their headsⓘ
40
καὶ λέγοντες· Ὁ καταλύων τὸν ναὸν καὶ ἐν τρισὶν ἡμέραις οἰκοδομῶν, σῶσον σεαυτόν· εἰ υἱὸς εἶ τοῦ θεοῦ, ⸀κατάβηθι ἀπὸ τοῦ σταυροῦ.
e dicendo: «Tu che distruggi il tempio e lo ricostruisci in tre giorni, salva te stesso! Se sei Figlio di Dio, scendi dalla croce!».
and saying: «You who destroy the sanctuary and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of Godⓘ, come down from the cross!».

ὁμοίως ⸀καὶ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς ἐμπαίζοντες μετὰ τῶν γραμματέων καὶ ⸀πρεσβυτέρων ἔλεγον·
Così anche i capi dei sacerdoti, con gli scribi e gli anziani, facendosi beffe di lui dicevano:
In the same way also the archiereis (kohanim of the temple summit)ⓘ, mocking him together with the scribes (soferim)ⓘ and the elders (zeqenim)ⓘ, said:

Ἄλλους ἔσωσεν, ἑαυτὸν οὐ δύναται σῶσαι· ⸀βασιλεὺς Ἰσραήλ ἐστιν, καταβάτω νῦν ἀπὸ τοῦ σταυροῦ καὶ πιστεύσομεν ἐπ’ ⸀αὐτόν.
«Ha salvato altri e non può salvare se stesso! È il re d'Israele; scenda ora dalla croce e crederemo in lui.
«Others he saved, himself he cannot save! He is the king of Israelⓘ, let him come down now from the cross and we will believe in him.
43
πέποιθεν ἐπὶ τὸν θεόν, ῥυσάσθω ⸀νῦν εἰ θέλει αὐτόν· εἶπεν γὰρ ὅτι Θεοῦ εἰμι υἱός.
Ha confidato in Dio; lo liberi lui, ora, se gli vuol bene. Ha detto infatti: Sono Figlio di Dio».
He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he wants himⓘ, for he said: I am the Son of God».

τὸ δ’ αὐτὸ καὶ οἱ λῃσταὶ οἱ συσταυρωθέντες ⸀σὺν αὐτῷ ὠνείδιζον αὐτόν.
Anche i ladroni crocifissi con lui lo insultavano allo stesso modo.
And in the same way also the armed rebels (biryōn)ⓘ crucified with him reviled him.
