Ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης ἦλθεν ἄνθρωπος πλούσιος ἀπὸ Ἁριμαθαίας, τοὔνομα Ἰωσήφ, ὃς καὶ αὐτὸς ⸀ἐμαθητεύθη τῷ Ἰησοῦ·
Venuta la sera, giunse un uomo ricco, di Arimatèa, di nome Giuseppe; anch'egli era diventato discepolo di Gesù.
When evening had come, there came a richⓘ man from Arimatheaⓘ, named Joseph, who had himself also become a discipleⓘ of Jesus.

οὗτος προσελθὼν τῷ Πιλάτῳ ᾐτήσατο τὸ σῶμα τοῦ Ἰησοῦ. τότε ὁ Πιλᾶτος ἐκέλευσεν ⸀ἀποδοθῆναι.
Egli si presentò a Pilato e chiese il corpo di Gesù. Pilato allora ordinò che gli fosse consegnato.
He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesusⓘ. Then Pilate ordered that the body be handed over to him.

καὶ λαβὼν τὸ σῶμα ὁ Ἰωσὴφ ἐνετύλιξεν ⸀αὐτὸ σινδόνι καθαρᾷ,
Giuseppe prese il corpo, lo avvolse in un lenzuolo pulito
Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a pure linen clothⓘ

καὶ ἔθηκεν αὐτὸ ἐν τῷ καινῷ αὐτοῦ μνημείῳ ὃ ἐλατόμησεν ἐν τῇ πέτρᾳ, καὶ προσκυλίσας λίθον μέγαν τῇ θύρᾳ τοῦ μνημείου ἀπῆλθεν.
e lo depose nel suo sepolcro nuovo, che si era fatto scavare nella roccia; rotolata poi una grande pietra all'entrata del sepolcro, se ne andò.
and laid it in his new tombⓘ which he had had hewn in the rock; and having rolled a great stoneⓘ to the entrance of the tomb, he went away.

ἦν δὲ ἐκεῖ ⸀Μαριὰμ ἡ Μαγδαληνὴ καὶ ἡ ἄλλη Μαρία καθήμεναι ἀπέναντι τοῦ τάφου.
Lì, sedute di fronte alla tomba, c'erano Maria di Màgdala e l'altra Maria.
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, seated opposite the tombⓘ.

Τῇ δὲ ἐπαύριον, ἥτις ἐστὶν μετὰ τὴν παρασκευήν, συνήχθησαν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ Φαρισαῖοι πρὸς Πιλᾶτον
Il giorno seguente, quello dopo la Parascève, si riunirono presso Pilato i capi dei sacerdoti e i farisei,
The next day, which is the one after the Preparation — that is, the shabbat itselfⓘ, the chief priests of the temple leadership (the kohanim ha-gedolim, the archiereîs) and the Pharisees (the perushim, the observant) gathered togetherⓘ before Pilate

λέγοντες· Κύριε, ἐμνήσθημεν ὅτι ἐκεῖνος ὁ πλάνος εἶπεν ἔτι ζῶν· Μετὰ τρεῖς ἡμέρας ἐγείρομαι·
dicendo: «Signore, ci siamo ricordati che quell'impostore, mentre era vivo, disse: Dopo tre giorni risorgerò.
saying to him: «Lord, we have remembered that that deceiverⓘ, while he was still alive, said: after three days I will rise from the dead.

κέλευσον οὖν ἀσφαλισθῆναι τὸν τάφον ἕως τῆς τρίτης ἡμέρας, μήποτε ἐλθόντες οἱ μαθηταὶ ⸀αὐτοῦ κλέψωσιν αὐτὸν καὶ εἴπωσιν τῷ λαῷ· Ἠγέρθη ἀπὸ τῶν νεκρῶν, καὶ ἔσται ἡ ἐσχάτη πλάνη χείρων τῆς πρώτης.
Ordina dunque che la tomba venga vigilata fino al terzo giorno, perché non vengano i suoi discepoli, lo rubino e poi dicano al popolo: È risorto dai morti. Così quest'ultima impostura sarebbe peggiore della prima!».
Order therefore that the tomb be made secureⓘ until the third day, lest his disciplesⓘ come and steal him and say to the peopleⓘ: he is risen from the dead; and so the last deception would be worse than the first».

⸀ἔφη αὐτοῖς ὁ Πιλᾶτος· Ἔχετε κουστωδίαν· ὑπάγετε ἀσφαλίσασθε ὡς οἴδατε.
Pilato disse loro: «Avete una guardia: andate e assicuratela come credete».
Pilate said to them: «You have a guardⓘ; go, make it secure as you know how».

οἱ δὲ πορευθέντες ἠσφαλίσαντο τὸν τάφον σφραγίσαντες τὸν λίθον μετὰ τῆς κουστωδίας.
Ed essi andarono e, per rendere sicura la tomba, sigillarono la pietra e vi posero la guardia.
They then went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stoneⓘ, with the guard.
