Περιπατῶν δὲ παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας εἶδεν δύο ἀδελφούς, Σίμωνα τὸν λεγόμενον Πέτρον καὶ Ἀνδρέαν τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ, βάλλοντας ἀμφίβληστρον εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, ἦσαν γὰρ ἁλιεῖς·
Mentre camminava lungo il mare di Galilea, vide due fratelli, Simone, chiamato Pietro, e Andrea suo fratello, che gettavano la rete in mare, perché erano pescatori.
As he walkedⓘ along the Sea of Galileeⓘ, he saw two brothersⓘ, Simon called Peterⓘ and Andrewⓘ, who were casting the netⓘ: they were fishermenⓘ.

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Δεῦτε ὀπίσω μου, καὶ ποιήσω ὑμᾶς ἁλιεῖς ἀνθρώπων.
E disse loro: «Venite dietro a me, vi farò pescatori di uomini».
And he said to them: «Come after meⓘ, I will make you fishers of menⓘ».

οἱ δὲ εὐθέως ἀφέντες τὰ δίκτυα ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ.
Ed essi subito, lasciate le reti, lo seguirono.
And they immediately left the nets and followed himⓘ.

Καὶ προβὰς ἐκεῖθεν εἶδεν ἄλλους δύο ἀδελφούς, Ἰάκωβον τὸν τοῦ Ζεβεδαίου καὶ Ἰωάννην τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ, ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ μετὰ Ζεβεδαίου τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν καταρτίζοντας τὰ δίκτυα αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐκάλεσεν αὐτούς.
Andando oltre, vide altri due fratelli, Giacomo, figlio di Zebedeo, e Giovanni suo fratello, che nella barca, con Zebedeo loro padre, riparavano le loro reti, e li chiamò.
Going onⓘ, he saw two other brothersⓘ, James the son of Zebedeeⓘ and Johnⓘ, who in the boatⓘ with Zebedee their fatherⓘ were mending the netsⓘ, and he calledⓘ them.

οἱ δὲ εὐθέως ἀφέντες τὸ πλοῖον καὶ τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ.
Ed essi subito, lasciata la barca e il padre, lo seguirono.
And they immediately, having left the boat and their father, followedⓘ him.
