Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ τὸν ὄχλον ἐπικεῖσθαι αὐτῷ ⸀καὶ ἀκούειν τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν ἑστὼς παρὰ τὴν λίμνην Γεννησαρέτ,
Mentre la folla gli faceva ressa attorno per ascoltare la parola di Dio, Gesù, stando presso il lago di Gennèsaret,
It happened that, while the crowd of am ha-aretz (the Galilean commoners, ordinary people not bound by the scruples of the haverim) am ha-aretzⓘ pressed around him and listened to the word of Godⓘ, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaretⓘ,

καὶ εἶδεν ⸂δύο πλοῖα⸃ ἑστῶτα παρὰ τὴν λίμνην, οἱ δὲ ἁλιεῖς ⸂ἀπ’ αὐτῶν ἀποβάντες⸃ ⸀ἔπλυνον τὰ δίκτυα.
vide due barche accostate alla sponda. I pescatori erano scesi e lavavano le reti.
and he saw two boats moored at the lake; the fishermen, having stepped down from them, were washing the nets.

ἐμβὰς δὲ εἰς ἓν τῶν πλοίων, ὃ ⸀ἦν Σίμωνος, ἠρώτησεν αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἐπαναγαγεῖν ὀλίγον, ⸂καθίσας δὲ ἐκ τοῦ πλοίου ἐδίδασκεν⸃ τοὺς ὄχλους.
Salì in una barca, che era di Simone, e lo pregò di scostarsi un poco da terra. Sedette e insegnava alle folle dalla barca.
Having boarded one of the boats, which belonged to Simonⓘ, he asked him to put out a little from the shore; sitting down, he taught from the boatⓘ to the crowds of am ha-aretz, the commoners who had flocked there.

ὡς δὲ ἐπαύσατο λαλῶν, εἶπεν πρὸς τὸν Σίμωνα· Ἐπανάγαγε εἰς τὸ βάθος καὶ χαλάσατε τὰ δίκτυα ὑμῶν εἰς ἄγραν.
Quando ebbe finito di parlare, disse a Simone: «Prendi il largo e gettate le vostre reti per la pesca».
When he stopped speaking, he said to Simon: «Put out into the deepⓘ and let down your netsⓘ for the catch».

καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ⸀Σίμων ⸀εἶπεν· Ἐπιστάτα, δι’ ⸀ὅλης νυκτὸς κοπιάσαντες οὐδὲν ἐλάβομεν, ἐπὶ δὲ τῷ ῥήματί σου χαλάσω ⸂τὰ δίκτυα⸃.
Simone rispose: «Maestro, abbiamo faticato tutta la notte e non abbiamo preso nulla; ma sulla tua parola getterò le reti».
And answering, Simon said: «Masterⓘ, through the whole nightⓘ having labored we have taken nothingⓘ; but at your wordⓘ I will let down the nets».

καὶ τοῦτο ποιήσαντες συνέκλεισαν πλῆθος ἰχθύων πολύ, ⸀διερρήσσετο δὲ ⸂τὰ δίκτυα⸃ αὐτῶν.
Fecero così e presero una quantità enorme di pesci e le loro reti quasi si rompevano.
And having done this, they enclosed a great quantity of fishⓘ, and their nets were tearingⓘ.

καὶ κατένευσαν τοῖς ⸀μετόχοις ἐν τῷ ἑτέρῳ πλοίῳ τοῦ ἐλθόντας συλλαβέσθαι αὐτοῖς· καὶ ἦλθον, καὶ ἔπλησαν ἀμφότερα τὰ πλοῖα ὥστε βυθίζεσθαι αὐτά.
Allora fecero cenno ai compagni dell'altra barca, che venissero ad aiutarli. Essi vennero e riempirono tutte e due le barche fino a farle quasi affondare.
And they signaled to their companionsⓘ in the other boat to come and help them; they came and filled both boats so that they were sinkingⓘ.

ἰδὼν δὲ Σίμων Πέτρος προσέπεσεν τοῖς γόνασιν Ἰησοῦ λέγων· Ἔξελθε ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ, ὅτι ἀνὴρ ἁμαρτωλός εἰμι, κύριε·
Al vedere questo, Simon Pietro si gettò alle ginocchia di Gesù, dicendo: «Signore, allontànati da me, perché sono un peccatore».
Seeing this, Simon Peterⓘ fell at the knees of Jesus, saying: «Depart from me, for I am a sinful manⓘ, Lordⓘ».

θάμβος γὰρ περιέσχεν αὐτὸν καὶ πάντας τοὺς σὺν αὐτῷ ἐπὶ τῇ ἄγρᾳ τῶν ἰχθύων ⸀ὧν συνέλαβον,
Lo stupore infatti aveva invaso lui e tutti quelli che erano con lui, per la pesca che avevano fatto;
For dismayⓘ had seized him and all those with him at the catch of the fish they had made,

ὁμοίως δὲ καὶ Ἰάκωβον καὶ Ἰωάννην υἱοὺς Ζεβεδαίου, οἳ ἦσαν κοινωνοὶ τῷ Σίμωνι. καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς τὸν Σίμωνα ⸀ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Μὴ φοβοῦ· ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν ἀνθρώπους ἔσῃ ζωγρῶν.
così pure Giacomo e Giovanni, figli di Zebedeo, che erano soci di Simone. Gesù disse a Simone: «Non temere; d'ora in poi sarai pescatore di uomini».
and likewise also James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partnersⓘ of Simon. And Jesus said to Simon: «Do not fearⓘ: from now on you will be one who takes men aliveⓘ».

καὶ καταγαγόντες τὰ πλοῖα ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἀφέντες ⸀πάντα ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ.
E, tirate le barche a terra, lasciarono tutto e lo seguirono.
And, having drawn the boats up onto the shore, leaving everything, they followed himⓘ.
