Ἰερουσαλὴμ Ἰερουσαλήμ, ἡ ⸀ἀποκτείνουσα τοὺς προφήτας καὶ λιθοβολοῦσα τοὺς ἀπεσταλμένους πρὸς αὐτήν— ποσάκις ἠθέλησα ἐπισυναγαγεῖν τὰ τέκνα σου, ὃν τρόπον ⸂ὄρνις ἐπισυνάγει⸃ τὰ νοσσία ⸀αὐτῆς ὑπὸ τὰς πτέρυγας, καὶ οὐκ ἠθελήσατε;
Gerusalemme, Gerusalemme, che uccidi i profeti e lapidi quelli che ti sono inviati, quante volte ho voluto raccogliere i tuoi figli, come una chioccia raccoglie i suoi pulcini sotto le ali, e voi non avete voluto!
Jerusalem, Jerusalemⓘ, who kill the prophetsⓘ and stoneⓘ those who are sent to youⓘ, how often I have longed to gather your childrenⓘ, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wingsⓘ, and you were not willingⓘ!

ἰδοὺ ἀφίεται ὑμῖν ὁ οἶκος ὑμῶν ⸀ἔρημος.
Ecco: la vostra casa vi è lasciata deserta!
Behold, to youⓘ, your houseⓘ is left to you desolateⓘ.

λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν, οὐ μή με ἴδητε ἀπ’ ἄρτι ἕως ἂν εἴπητε· Εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου.
Vi dico infatti che non mi vedrete più, finché non direte: Benedetto colui che viene nel nome del Signore!
Truly I say to you this: you will not see me again from now onⓘ, until you say: Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Tetragrammatonⓘ!».
