Τότε παραγίνεται ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἀπὸ τῆς Γαλιλαίας ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰορδάνην πρὸς τὸν Ἰωάννην τοῦ βαπτισθῆναι ὑπ’ αὐτοῦ.
Allora Gesù venne dalla Galilea al Giordano, da Giovanni, per essere battezzato da lui.
Then comesⓘ Jesus from Galilee to the Jordanⓘ to Johnⓘ, to receive the tevilah, the ritual immersionⓘ from him.

ὁ δὲ ⸀Ἰωάννης διεκώλυεν αὐτὸν λέγων· Ἐγὼ χρείαν ἔχω ὑπὸ σοῦ βαπτισθῆναι, καὶ σὺ ἔρχῃ πρός με;
Ma Giovanni cercava di impedirglielo, dicendo: «Sono io che ho bisogno di essere battezzato da te, e tu vieni da me?».
But John tried to prevent himⓘ, saying: «I have need to receive the tevilah from you, and you come to me?».

ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν ⸂πρὸς αὐτόν⸃· Ἄφες ἄρτι, οὕτως γὰρ πρέπον ἐστὶν ἡμῖν πληρῶσαι πᾶσαν δικαιοσύνην. τότε ἀφίησιν αὐτόν.
Gesù gli rispose: «Lascia fare per ora, poiché così conviene che adempiamo ogni giustizia». Allora lo lasciò fare.
Answeringⓘ Jesus said to him: «Let it be so for nowⓘ: for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all tzedaqah, the justice-faithfulness to the covenantⓘ». Then he lets it be.

⸂βαπτισθεὶς δὲ⸃ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ⸂εὐθὺς ἀνέβη⸃ ἀπὸ τοῦ ὕδατος· καὶ ἰδοὺ ⸀ἠνεῴχθησαν οἱ οὐρανοί, καὶ εἶδεν ⸀πνεῦμα θεοῦ καταβαῖνον ὡσεὶ ⸀περιστερὰν ἐρχόμενον ἐπ’ αὐτόν·
Battezzato, Gesù risalì subito dall'acqua: ed ecco, i cieli si aprirono ed egli vide lo Spirito di Dio scendere come una colomba e venire su di lui;
And having received the tevilah, Jesus went up at onceⓘ from the water: and beholdⓘ the heavens were openedⓘ and he saw the Spirit of God (the Ruach Elohimⓘ) descendingⓘ like a doveⓘ and coming upon him;

καὶ ἰδοὺ φωνὴ ἐκ τῶν οὐρανῶν λέγουσα· Οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ υἱός μου ὁ ἀγαπητός, ἐν ᾧ εὐδόκησα.
ed ecco una voce dai cieli che diceva: «Questi è il Figlio mio, l'amato, in cui mi sono compiaciuto».
and behold a bat qol, the «daughter of the voice»ⓘ, saying: «This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased»ⓘ.
