Τῇ ἐπαύριον πάλιν εἱστήκει ⸀ὁ Ἰωάννης καὶ ἐκ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ δύο,
Il giorno dopo Giovanni stava ancora là con due dei suoi discepoli
The next day John was still standing there with two of his disciplesⓘ

καὶ ἐμβλέψας τῷ Ἰησοῦ περιπατοῦντι λέγει· Ἴδε ὁ ἀμνὸς τοῦ θεοῦ.
e, fissando lo sguardo su Gesù che passava, disse: «Ecco l'agnello di Dio!».
and, looking intently at Jesus as he passed by, he says: «Behold the Lamb of Godⓘ!».

καὶ ἤκουσαν ⸂οἱ δύο μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ⸃ λαλοῦντος καὶ ἠκολούθησαν τῷ Ἰησοῦ.
E i suoi due discepoli, sentendolo parlare così, seguirono Gesù.
The two disciplesⓘ heard him and followed Jesus.

στραφεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ θεασάμενος αὐτοὺς ἀκολουθοῦντας λέγει αὐτοῖς· Τί ζητεῖτε; οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· Ῥαββί (ὃ λέγεται ⸀μεθερμηνευόμενον Διδάσκαλε), ποῦ μένεις;
Gesù allora si voltò e, osservando che essi lo seguivano, disse loro: «Che cosa cercate?». Gli risposero: «Rabbì (che significa Maestro), dove dimori?».
Jesus then turned around and, seeing them following him, says to them: «What are you seeking?». They said to him: «Rabbiⓘ (which, translated, means Teacherⓘ), where are you staying?».

λέγει αὐτοῖς· Ἔρχεσθε καὶ ⸂ὄψεσθε. ἦλθαν οὖν⸃ καὶ εἶδαν ποῦ μένει, καὶ παρ’ αὐτῷ ἔμειναν τὴν ἡμέραν ἐκείνην· ὥρα ἦν ὡς δεκάτη.
Disse loro: «Venite e vedrete». Andarono dunque e videro dove egli dimorava e quel giorno rimasero con lui; erano circa le quattro del pomeriggio.
He says to them: «Come and you will see». So they went and saw where he was staying, and that day they remained with him; it was about the tenth hourⓘ.

ἦν Ἀνδρέας ὁ ἀδελφὸς Σίμωνος Πέτρου εἷς ἐκ τῶν δύο τῶν ἀκουσάντων παρὰ Ἰωάννου καὶ ἀκολουθησάντων αὐτῷ·
Uno dei due che avevano udito le parole di Giovanni e lo avevano seguito, era Andrea, fratello di Simon Pietro.
Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who had heard from John and had followed him.

εὑρίσκει οὗτος ⸀πρῶτον τὸν ἀδελφὸν τὸν ἴδιον Σίμωνα καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Εὑρήκαμεν τὸν Μεσσίαν (ὅ ἐστιν μεθερμηνευόμενον χριστός).
Egli incontrò per primo suo fratello Simone e gli disse: «Abbiamo trovato il Messia» (che si traduce Cristo)
He first finds his own brother Simon and says to him: «We have found the Messiahⓘ» (which, translated, is Christⓘ).

⸀ἤγαγεν αὐτὸν πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν. ἐμβλέψας αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν· Σὺ εἶ Σίμων ὁ υἱὸς ⸀Ἰωάννου, σὺ κληθήσῃ Κηφᾶς (ὃ ἑρμηνεύεται Πέτρος).
e lo condusse da Gesù. Fissando lo sguardo su di lui, Gesù disse: «Tu sei Simone, il figlio di Giovanni; sarai chiamato Cefa» (che significa Pietro).
He led him to Jesus. Looking intently at him, Jesus said: «You are Simon, the son of John; you shall be called Cephasⓘ» (which is translated Peter).

Τῇ ἐπαύριον ἠθέλησεν ἐξελθεῖν εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν. καὶ εὑρίσκει Φίλιππον καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ἀκολούθει μοι.
Il giorno dopo Gesù volle partire per la Galilea; incontrò Filippo e gli disse: «Seguimi!».
The next day, he wanted to set out for Galilee. And he finds Philip and says to him: «Follow me!».

ἦν δὲ ὁ Φίλιππος ἀπὸ Βηθσαϊδά, ἐκ τῆς πόλεως Ἀνδρέου καὶ Πέτρου.
Filippo era di Betsàida, la città di Andrea e di Pietro.
Philip was from Bethsaidaⓘ, the town of Andrew and Peter.

εὑρίσκει Φίλιππος τὸν Ναθαναὴλ καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Ὃν ἔγραψεν Μωϋσῆς ἐν τῷ νόμῳ καὶ οἱ προφῆται εὑρήκαμεν, ⸀Ἰησοῦν υἱὸν τοῦ Ἰωσὴφ τὸν ἀπὸ Ναζαρέτ.
Filippo incontrò Natanaèle e gli disse: «Abbiamo trovato colui del quale hanno scritto Mosè, nella Legge, e i Profeti: Gesù, il figlio di Giuseppe, di Nazaret».
Philip finds Nathanael and says to him: «The one of whom Moses wrote in the Torahⓘ and the Prophetsⓘ, we have found him: Jesus, son of Joseph, the one from Nazareth».

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ναθαναήλ· Ἐκ Ναζαρὲτ δύναταί τι ἀγαθὸν εἶναι; λέγει αὐτῷ ⸀ὁ Φίλιππος· Ἔρχου καὶ ἴδε.
Natanaèle gli disse: «Da Nazaret può venire qualcosa di buono?». Filippo gli rispose: «Vieni e vedi».
And Nathanael said to him: «Can anything good come from Nazarethⓘ?». Philip says to him: «Come and seeⓘ».

εἶδεν ⸀ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὸν Ναθαναὴλ ἐρχόμενον πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ λέγει περὶ αὐτοῦ· Ἴδε ἀληθῶς Ἰσραηλίτης ἐν ᾧ δόλος οὐκ ἔστιν.
Gesù intanto, visto Natanaèle che gli veniva incontro, disse di lui: «Ecco davvero un Israelita in cui non c'è falsità».
Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and says of him: «Behold truly an Israelite in whom there is no deceitⓘ».

λέγει αὐτῷ Ναθαναήλ· Πόθεν με γινώσκεις; ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Πρὸ τοῦ σε Φίλιππον φωνῆσαι ὄντα ὑπὸ τὴν συκῆν εἶδόν σε.
Natanaèle gli domandò: «Come mi conosci?». Gli rispose Gesù: «Prima che Filippo ti chiamasse, io ti ho visto quando eri sotto l'albero di fichi».
Nathanael says to him: «From where do you know me?». Jesus answered and said to him: «Before Philip called you, while you were under the fig treeⓘ, I saw you».

ἀπεκρίθη ⸂αὐτῷ Ναθαναήλ⸃· Ῥαββί, σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ, σὺ ⸂βασιλεὺς εἶ⸃ τοῦ Ἰσραήλ.
Gli replicò Natanaèle: «Rabbì, tu sei il Figlio di Dio, tu sei il re d'Israele!».
Nathanael answered him: «Rabbiⓘ, you are the Son of Godⓘ, you are the King of Israelⓘ!».

ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Ὅτι εἶπόν σοι ⸀ὅτι εἶδόν σε ὑποκάτω τῆς συκῆς πιστεύεις; μείζω τούτων ⸀ὄψῃ.
Gli rispose Gesù: «Perché ti ho detto che ti avevo visto sotto l'albero di fichi, tu credi? Vedrai cose più grandi di queste!».
Jesus answered and said to him: «Because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these».

καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ⸀ὑμῖν, ὄψεσθε τὸν οὐρανὸν ἀνεῳγότα καὶ τοὺς ἀγγέλους τοῦ θεοῦ ἀναβαίνοντας καὶ καταβαίνοντας ἐπὶ τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου.
Poi gli disse: «In verità, in verità io vi dico: vedrete il cielo aperto e gli angeli di Dio salire e scendere sopra il Figlio dell'uomo».
And he says to him: «Amen, amen, I say to youⓘ: you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descendingⓘ upon the Son of Manⓘ».
