GreekἈναχωρησάντων δὲ αὐτῶν ἰδοὺ ἄγγελος κυρίου ⸂φαίνεται κατ’ ὄναρ⸃ τῷ Ἰωσὴφ λέγων· Ἐγερθεὶς παράλαβε τὸ παιδίον καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ φεῦγε εἰς Αἴγυπτον, καὶ ἴσθι ἐκεῖ ἕως ἂν εἴπω σοι· μέλλει γὰρ Ἡρῴδης ζητεῖν τὸ παιδίον τοῦ ἀπολέσαι αὐτό.
Orthodox ReadingAfter they had departedⓘ, behold, an angel of the Tetragrammatonⓘ appeared in a dreamⓘ to Josephⓘ saying: «Ariseⓘ, take the child and his motherⓘ, flee into Egyptⓘ and remain there until I tell youⓘ; for Herodⓘ is about to seek the child to destroy himⓘ».

Greekκαὶ ἦν ἐκεῖ ἕως τῆς τελευτῆς Ἡρῴδου· ἵνα πληρωθῇ τὸ ῥηθὲν ⸀ὑπὸ κυρίου διὰ τοῦ προφήτου λέγοντος· Ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ἐκάλεσα τὸν υἱόν μου.
Orthodox Readingand remained there until the death of Herodⓘ, so that what had been spoken by the Tetragrammatonⓘ through the prophet might be fulfilled: «Out of Egypt I called my son»ⓘ.
