GreekΚαὶ ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος ἰδοὺ Ἰούδας εἷς τῶν δώδεκα ἦλθεν καὶ μετ’ αὐτοῦ ὄχλος πολὺς μετὰ μαχαιρῶν καὶ ξύλων ἀπὸ τῶν ἀρχιερέων καὶ πρεσβυτέρων τοῦ λαοῦ.
Orthodox ReadingWhile he was still speaking, beholdⓘ Judas came, one of the Twelve, and with him a large crowd of am ha-aretz the non-observant common folkⓘ, armed with ḥeravotⓘ and wooden clubs, sent by the chief priests (archiereîsⓘ) and the elders (zeqenimⓘ) of the people — the sanhedrial-temple leadershipⓘ.

Greekὁ δὲ παραδιδοὺς αὐτὸν ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς σημεῖον λέγων· Ὃν ἂν φιλήσω αὐτός ἐστιν· κρατήσατε αὐτόν.

Greekτοῦτο δὲ ὅλον γέγονεν ἵνα πληρωθῶσιν αἱ γραφαὶ τῶν προφητῶν. τότε οἱ μαθηταὶ πάντες ἀφέντες αὐτὸν ἔφυγον.
Orthodox ReadingBut all this has come to pass so that the Scriptures of the prophets be brought to fulfillmentⓘ. Jesus hands himself over freelyⓘ». Then all the disciplesⓘ, forsaking him, fled — exact fulfillment of Zech 13,7 («I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered»), already cited in Mt 26,31.
