וישב המלאך הדבר בי ויעירני כאיש אשר יעור משנתו
Καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ λαλῶν ἐν ἐμοὶ καὶ ἐξήγειρέν με ὃν τρόπον ὅταν ἐξεγερθῇ ἄνθρωπος ἐξ ὕπνου αὐτοῦ
And the messengerⓘ who spoke in me returned and roused me, as a man is roused from his sleep,

ויאמר אלי מה אתה ראה ויאמר ואמר ראיתי והנה מנורת זהב כלה וגלה על ראשה ושבעה נרתיה עליה שבעה ושבעה מוצקות לנרות אשר על ראשה
καὶ εἶπεν πρός με Τί σύ βλέπεις; καὶ εἶπα Ἑώρακα καὶ ἰδοὺ λυχνία χρυσῆ ὅλη, καὶ τὸ λαμπάδιον ἐπάνω αὐτῆς, καὶ ἑπτὰ λύχνοι ἐπάνω αὐτῆς, καὶ ἑπτὰ ἐπαρυστρίδες τοῖς λύχνοις τοῖς ἐπάνω αὐτῆς·
and said to me: What do you see? I said: I have seen, and behold a menoràhⓘ all of gold, with the bowlⓘ at the top, seven lamps upon it and seven pipesⓘ for the lamps that are at the top;

ושנים זיתים עליה אחד מימין הגלה ואחד על שמאלה
καὶ δύο ἐλαῖαι ἐπάνω αὐτῆς, μία ἐκ δεξιῶν τοῦ λαμπαδίου καὶ μία ἐξ εὐωνύμων.
and two olive treesⓘ beside it, one to the right of the bowl and one to its left.

ואען ואמר אל המלאך הדבר בי לאמר מה אלה אדני
καὶ ἐπηρώτησα καὶ εἶπον πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον τὸν λαλοῦντα ἐν ἐμοὶ λέγων Τί ἐστιν ταῦτα, κύριε;
And I spoke and said to the messenger who spoke in me: What are these things, my lordⓘ?

ויען המלאך הדבר בי ויאמר אלי הלוא ידעת מה המה אלה ואמר לא אדני
καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ λαλῶν ἐν ἐμοὶ καὶ εἶπεν πρός με Οὐ γινώσκεις τί ἐστιν ταῦτα; καὶ εἶπα Οὐχί, κύριε.
And the messenger who spoke in me answered and said to me: Do you not know what these things are? And I said: No, my lord.

ויען ויאמר אלי לאמר זה דבר יהוה אל זרבבל לאמר לא בחיל ולא בכח כי אם ברוחי אמר יהוה צבאות
καὶ ἀπεκρίθη καὶ εἶπεν πρός με λέγων Οὗτος ὁ λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ζοροβαβελ λέγων Οὐκ ἐν δυνάμει μεγάλῃ οὐδὲ ἐν ἰσχύι, ἀλλ’ ἢ ἐν πνεύματί μου, λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ.
And he answered and said to me: This is the word of the Tetragrammatonⓘ to Zerubbabelⓘ: Not by powerⓘ nor by strength, but by my rùachⓘ, says the Tetragrammaton of hostsⓘ.

מי אתה הר הגדול לפני זרבבל למישר והוציא את האבן הראשה תשאות חן חן לה
τίς εἶ σύ, τὸ ὄρος τὸ μέγα, πρὸ προσώπου Ζοροβαβελ τοῦ κατορθῶσαι; καὶ ἐξοίσω τὸν λίθον τῆς κληρονομίας ἰσότητα χάριτος χάριτα αὐτῆς.
Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain; and he shall bring out the capstoneⓘ amid the shouts of: Grace, grace to itⓘ!

ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר
καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων
And the word of the Tetragrammaton came to me:
9
ידי זרבבל יסדו הבית הזה וידיו תבצענה וידעת כי יהוה צבאות שלחני אליכם
Αἱ χεῖρες Ζοροβαβελ ἐθεμελίωσαν τὸν οἶκον τοῦτον, καὶ αἱ χεῖρες αὐτοῦ ἐπιτελέσουσιν αὐτόν, καὶ ἐπιγνώσῃ διότι κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐξαπέσταλκέν με πρὸς σέ.
The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house and his hands shall complete it; and you shall know that the Tetragrammaton of hosts has sent me to you.

כי מי בז ליום קטנות ושמחו וראו את האבן הבדיל ביד זרבבל שבעה אלה עיני יהוה המה משוטטים בכל הארץ
διότι τίς ἐξουδένωσεν εἰς ἡμέρας μικράς; καὶ χαροῦνται καὶ ὄψονται τὸν λίθον τὸν κασσιτέρινον ἐν χειρὶ Ζοροβαβελ. ἑπτὰ οὗτοι ὀφθαλμοὶ κυρίου εἰσὶν οἱ ἐπιβλέποντες ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν.
For who has despised the day of small thingsⓘ? They shall rejoice and shall see the plumb lineⓘ in the hand of Zerubbabel. These seven are the eyes of the Tetragrammatonⓘ that range over the whole earth.

ואען ואמר אליו מה שני הזיתים האלה על ימין המנורה ועל שמאולה
καὶ ἀπεκρίθην καὶ εἶπα πρὸς αὐτόν Τί αἱ δύο ἐλαῖαι αὗται αἱ ἐκ δεξιῶν τῆς λυχνίας καὶ ἐξ εὐωνύμων;
And I spoke and said to him: What are these two olive trees to the right of the lampstand and to its left?

ואען שנית ואמר אליו מה שתי שבלי הזיתים אשר ביד שני צנתרות הזהב המריקים מעליהם הזהב
καὶ ἐπηρώτησα ἐκ δευτέρου καὶ εἶπα πρὸς αὐτόν Τί οἱ δύο κλάδοι τῶν ἐλαιῶν οἱ ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν τῶν δύο μυξωτήρων τῶν χρυσῶν τῶν ἐπιχεόντων καὶ ἐπαναγόντων τὰς ἐπαρυστρίδας τὰς χρυσᾶς;
And again I spoke and said to him: What are the two olive branchesⓘ beside the two golden spoutsⓘ that pour from themselves the golden oil?

ויאמר אלי לאמר הלוא ידעת מה אלה ואמר לא אדני
καὶ εἶπεν πρός με Οὐκ οἶδας τί ἐστιν ταῦτα; καὶ εἶπα Οὐχί, κύριε.
He said to me: Do you not know what these things are? And I said: No, my lord.

ויאמר אלה שני בני היצהר העמדים על אדון כל הארץ
καὶ εἶπεν Οὗτοι οἱ δύο υἱοὶ τῆς πιότητος παρεστήκασιν τῷ κυρίῳ πάσης τῆς γῆς.
And he said: These are the two anointed onesⓘ who stand beside the Lord of all the earth.
