GreekΤότε ὁμοιωθήσεται ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν δέκα παρθένοις, αἵτινες λαβοῦσαι τὰς λαμπάδας ⸀ἑαυτῶν ἐξῆλθον εἰς ⸀ὑπάντησιν τοῦ νυμφίου.

Orthodox ReadingThen the kingdom of heavenⓘ will be made like ten virginsⓘ who, having taken their lampsⓘ, went out to meetⓘ the bridegroom (the chatan of the wedding)ⓘ.

Greekπέντε δὲ ⸂ἐξ αὐτῶν ἦσαν⸃ ⸂μωραὶ καὶ πέντε φρόνιμοι⸃.

Greekἀπερχομένων δὲ αὐτῶν ἀγοράσαι ἦλθεν ὁ νυμφίος, καὶ αἱ ἕτοιμοι εἰσῆλθον μετ’ αὐτοῦ εἰς τοὺς γάμους, καὶ ἐκλείσθη ἡ θύρα.

Greekὕστερον δὲ ἔρχονται καὶ αἱ λοιπαὶ παρθένοι λέγουσαι· Κύριε κύριε, ἄνοιξον ἡμῖν·

Greekὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν· Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐκ οἶδα ὑμᾶς.

Orthodox ReadingBut he, answering saidⓘ: «Amen, I say to youⓘ: I do not know youⓘ».

Greekγρηγορεῖτε οὖν, ὅτι οὐκ οἴδατε τὴν ἡμέραν οὐδὲ τὴν ⸀ὥραν.
