ויהי ביום השלישי ותלבש אסתר מלכות ותעמד בחצר בית המלך הפנימית נכח בית המלך והמלך יושב על כסא מלכותו בבית המלכות נכח פתח הבית
a καὶ γενηθεῖσα ἐπιφανὴς ἐπικαλεσαμένη τὸν πάντων ἐπόπτην θεὸν καὶ σωτῆρα παρέλαβεν τὰς δύο ἅβρας καὶ τῇ μὲν μιᾷ ἐπηρείδετο ὡς τρυφερευομένη, ἡ δὲ ἑτέρα ἐπηκολούθει κουφίζουσα τὴν ἔνδυσιν αὐτῆς,
ⓘ, Esther clothed herself ⓘ and stood in the inner court of the king's palace, opposite the king's house; and the king was sitting on ⓘ in the throne room, opposite the entrance of the palace.

ויהי כראות המלך את אסתר המלכה עמדת בחצר נשאה חן בעיניו ויושט המלך לאסתר את שרביט הזהב אשר בידו ותקרב אסתר ותגע בראש השרביט
a καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Εἶδόν σε, κύριε, ὡς ἄγγελον θεοῦ, καὶ ἐταράχθη ἡ καρδία μου ἀπὸ φόβου τῆς δόξης σου· ὅτι θαυμαστὸς εἶ, κύριε, καὶ τὸ πρόσωπόν σου χαρίτων μεστόν.
And when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she ⓘ in his eyes; and the king held out to Esther ⓘ that was in his hand. Esther drew near and touched the tip of the sceptre.

ויאמר לה המלך מה לך אסתר המלכה ומה בקשתך עד חצי המלכות וינתן לך
ἐν δὲ τῷ διαλέγεσθαι αὐτὴν ἔπεσεν ἀπὸ ἐκλύσεως αὐτῆς, καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐταράσσετο, καὶ πᾶσα ἡ θεραπεία αὐτοῦ παρεκάλει αὐτήν. καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς Τί θέλεις, Εσθηρ, καὶ τί σού ἐστιν τὸ ἀξίωμα; ἕως τοῦ ἡμίσους τῆς βασιλείας μου καὶ ἔσται σοι.
And the king said to her: What is it, Queen Esther? And what is your ⓘ? Even up to ⓘ, it shall be given to you.

ותאמר אסתר אם על המלך טוב יבוא המלך והמן היום אל המשתה אשר עשיתי לו
εἶπεν δὲ Εσθηρ Ἡμέρα μου ἐπίσημος σήμερόν ἐστιν· εἰ οὖν δοκεῖ τῷ βασιλεῖ, ἐλθάτω καὶ αὐτὸς καὶ Αμαν εἰς τὴν δοχήν, ἣν ποιήσω σήμερον.
And Esther said: If it pleases the king, let the king come today with Hamàn to ⓘ that I have prepared for him.

ויאמר המלך מהרו את המן לעשות את דבר אסתר ויבא המלך והמן אל המשתה אשר עשתה אסתר
καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς Κατασπεύσατε Αμαν, ὅπως ποιήσωμεν τὸν λόγον Εσθηρ· καὶ παραγίνονται ἀμφότεροι εἰς τὴν δοχήν, ἣν εἶπεν Εσθηρ.
And the king said: Bring Hamàn quickly, to do the bidding of Esther! And the king and Hamàn came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.

ויאמר המלך לאסתר במשתה היין מה שאלתך וינתן לך ומה בקשתך עד חצי המלכות ותעש
ἐν δὲ τῷ πότῳ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεὺς πρὸς Εσθηρ Τί ἐστιν, βασίλισσα Εσθηρ; καὶ ἔσται σοι ὅσα ἀξιοῖς.
And at ⓘ the king said to Esther: What is your petition? It shall be granted to you. And what is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it shall be fulfilled.

ותען אסתר ותאמר שאלתי ובקשתי
καὶ εἶπεν Τὸ αἴτημά μου καὶ τὸ ἀξίωμά μου·
And Esther answered and said: My petition and my request is this:

אם מצאתי חן בעיני המלך ואם על המלך טוב לתת את שאלתי ולעשות את בקשתי יבוא המלך והמן אל המשתה אשר אעשה להם ומחר אעשה כדבר המלך
εἰ εὗρον χάριν ἐνώπιον τοῦ βασιλέως, ἐλθάτω ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ Αμαν ἐπὶ τὴν αὔριον εἰς τὴν δοχήν, ἣν ποιήσω αὐτοῖς, καὶ αὔριον ποιήσω τὰ αὐτά.
If I have ⓘ in the eyes of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition and fulfil my request, let the king come with Hamàn to the banquet that I shall prepare for them; and tomorrow I will do as the king has said.

ויצא המן ביום ההוא שמח וטוב לב וכראות המן את מרדכי בשער המלך ולא קם ולא זע ממנו וימלא המן על מרדכי חמה
Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ Αμαν ἀπὸ τοῦ βασιλέως ὑπερχαρὴς εὐφραινόμενος· ἐν δὲ τῷ ἰδεῖν Αμαν Μαρδοχαῖον τὸν Ιουδαῖον ἐν τῇ αὐλῇ ἐθυμώθη σφόδρα.
And Hamàn went out that day ⓘ; but when Hamàn saw Mordekài at the king's gate, and that he neither rose nor ⓘ before him, Hamàn was filled with ⓘ against Mordekài.

ויתאפק המן ויבוא אל ביתו וישלח ויבא את אהביו ואת זרש אשתו
καὶ εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὰ ἴδια ἐκάλεσεν τοὺς φίλους καὶ Ζωσαραν τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ
Nevertheless Hamàn restrained himself, went to his house, sent for and brought in his friends and his wife Zèresh,

ויספר להם המן את כבוד עשרו ורב בניו ואת כל אשר גדלו המלך ואת אשר נשאו על השרים ועבדי המלך
καὶ ὑπέδειξεν αὐτοῖς τὸν πλοῦτον αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν δόξαν, ἣν ὁ βασιλεὺς αὐτῷ περιέθηκεν, καὶ ὡς ἐποίησεν αὐτὸν πρωτεύειν καὶ ἡγεῖσθαι τῆς βασιλείας.
and told them of ⓘ and the multitude of his sons, and all the ways the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and the servants of the king.

ויאמר המן אף לא הביאה אסתר המלכה עם המלך אל המשתה אשר עשתה כי אם אותי וגם למחר אני קרוא לה עם המלך
καὶ εἶπεν Αμαν Οὐ κέκληκεν ἡ βασίλισσα μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως οὐδένα εἰς τὴν δοχὴν ἀλλ’ ἢ ἐμέ, καὶ εἰς τὴν αὔριον κέκλημαι·
And Hamàn said: Moreover, Queen Esther brought no one but me in with the king to the banquet she had prepared; and tomorrow too I am invited by her with the king.

וכל זה איננו שוה לי בכל עת אשר אני ראה את מרדכי היהודי יושב בשער המלך
καὶ ταῦτά μοι οὐκ ἀρέσκει, ὅταν ἴδω Μαρδοχαῖον τὸν Ιουδαῖον ἐν τῇ αὐλῇ.
Yet all this ⓘ.

ותאמר לו זרש אשתו וכל אהביו יעשו עץ גבה חמשים אמה ובבקר אמר למלך ויתלו את מרדכי עליו ובא עם המלך אל המשתה שמח וייטב הדבר לפני המן ויעש העץ
καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτὸν Ζωσαρα ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ φίλοι Κοπήτω σοι ξύλον πηχῶν πεντήκοντα, ὄρθρου δὲ εἰπὸν τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ κρεμασθήτω Μαρδοχαῖος ἐπὶ τοῦ ξύλου· σὺ δὲ εἴσελθε εἰς τὴν δοχὴν σὺν τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ εὐφραίνου. καὶ ἤρεσεν τὸ ῥῆμα τῷ Αμαν, καὶ ἡτοιμάσθη τὸ ξύλον.
And his wife Zèresh and all his friends said to him: Let a ⓘ fifty cubits high be made; and in the morning speak to the king, that Mordekài be hanged on it; then go with the king to the banquet, joyfully. The thing pleased Hamàn, and he had the pole made.
