Ἀγαπήσατε δικαιοσύνην, οἱ κρίνοντες τὴν γῆν, φρονήσατε περὶ τοῦ κυρίου ἐν ἀγαθότητι καὶ ἐν ἁπλότητι καρδίας ζητήσατε αὐτόν.
Love righteousnessⓘ, you who judge the earth; think of the Lordⓘ with goodness, and seek him with singleness of heartⓘ.

ὅτι εὑρίσκεται τοῖς μὴ πειράζουσιν αὐτόν, ἐμφανίζεται δὲ τοῖς μὴ ἀπιστοῦσιν αὐτῷ.
For He allows himself to be foundⓘ by those who do not put him to the testⓘ, and he reveals himself to those who do not distrust him.

σκολιοὶ γὰρ λογισμοὶ χωρίζουσιν ἀπὸ θεοῦ, δοκιμαζομένη τε ἡ δύναμις ἐλέγχει τοὺς ἄφρονας.
For crooked reasoningsⓘ separate from God, and power, when put to the test, exposes fools.

ὅτι εἰς κακότεχνον ψυχὴν οὐκ εἰσελεύσεται σοφία οὐδὲ κατοικήσει ἐν σώματι κατάχρεῳ ἁμαρτίας.
For into a soul that plots evil wisdomⓘ does not enter, nor does it dwell in a body enslaved to sin.

ἅγιον γὰρ πνεῦμα παιδείας φεύξεται δόλον καὶ ἀπαναστήσεται ἀπὸ λογισμῶν ἀσυνέτων καὶ ἐλεγχθήσεται ἐπελθούσης ἀδικίας.
For the holy spirit that disciplinesⓘ flees deceit, withdraws from senseless thoughts, and is repelled when injustice arrives.

φιλάνθρωπον γὰρ πνεῦμα σοφία καὶ οὐκ ἀθῳώσει βλάσφημον ἀπὸ χειλέων αὐτοῦ· ὅτι τῶν νεφρῶν αὐτοῦ μάρτυς ὁ θεὸς καὶ τῆς καρδίας αὐτοῦ ἐπίσκοπος ἀληθὴς καὶ τῆς γλώσσης ἀκουστής.
A spirit friendly to humankindⓘ is wisdom, yet it does not leave unpunished the one who blasphemes with his lips: for God is witness of his inmost partsⓘ, a true searcher of his heart and a hearer of his tongue.

ὅτι πνεῦμα κυρίου πεπλήρωκεν τὴν οἰκουμένην, καὶ τὸ συνέχον τὰ πάντα γνῶσιν ἔχει φωνῆς.
For the spirit of the Lord fills the worldⓘ, and that which holds all things togetherⓘ has knowledge of every voice.

διὰ τοῦτο φθεγγόμενος ἄδικα οὐδεὶς μὴ λάθῃ, οὐδὲ μὴ παροδεύσῃ αὐτὸν ἐλέγχουσα ἡ δίκη.
Therefore whoever utters unjust things cannot remain hidden, nor will the justice that confutes himⓘ overlook him.

ἐν γὰρ διαβουλίοις ἀσεβοῦς ἐξέτασις ἔσται, λόγων δὲ αὐτοῦ ἀκοὴ πρὸς κύριον ἥξει εἰς ἔλεγχον ἀνομημάτων αὐτοῦ·
For upon the plans of the impious there will be an inquiry, and the sound of his words will reach the Lord as a refutation of his iniquitiesⓘ;

ὅτι οὖς ζηλώσεως ἀκροᾶται τὰ πάντα, καὶ θροῦς γογγυσμῶν οὐκ ἀποκρύπτεται.
for a jealous earⓘ hears all things, and not even the murmur of grumblingsⓘ is hidden from him.

Φυλάξασθε τοίνυν γογγυσμὸν ἀνωφελῆ καὶ ἀπὸ καταλαλιᾶς φείσασθε γλώσσης· ὅτι φθέγμα λαθραῖον κενὸν οὐ πορεύσεται, στόμα δὲ καταψευδόμενον ἀναιρεῖ ψυχήν.
Guard yourselves therefore from useless murmuring and spare your tongue from slanderⓘ: for a word spoken in secret is not without effect, and a lying mouth destroys the soul.

μὴ ζηλοῦτε θάνατον ἐν πλάνῃ ζωῆς ὑμῶν μηδὲ ἐπισπᾶσθε ὄλεθρον ἐν ἔργοις χειρῶν ὑμῶν·
Do not court deathⓘ through the error of your life, nor bring ruin upon yourselves by the works of your hands;

ὅτι ὁ θεὸς θάνατον οὐκ ἐποίησεν οὐδὲ τέρπεται ἐπ’ ἀπωλείᾳ ζώντων.
for God did not make deathⓘ, nor does he rejoice in the destruction of the living.

ἔκτισεν γὰρ εἰς τὸ εἶναι τὰ πάντα, καὶ σωτήριοι αἱ γενέσεις τοῦ κόσμου, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐν αὐταῖς φάρμακον ὀλέθρου οὔτε ᾅδου βασίλειον ἐπὶ γῆς.
For he created all things that they might existⓘ, and the creatures of the world are bearers of salvation: there is in them no poison of destruction, nor does the realm of Hadesⓘ hold dominion over the earth.

δικαιοσύνη γὰρ ἀθάνατός ἐστιν.
For righteousness is immortalⓘ.

Ἀσεβεῖς δὲ ταῖς χερσὶν καὶ τοῖς λόγοις προσεκαλέσαντο αὐτόν, φίλον ἡγησάμενοι αὐτὸν ἐτάκησαν καὶ συνθήκην ἔθεντο πρὸς αὐτόν, ὅτι ἄξιοί εἰσιν τῆς ἐκείνου μερίδος εἶναι.
But the impiousⓘ, with their hands and their words, have summoned death to themselves; counting it a friend they have pined away, and they have made a covenant with it, for they are worthy to belong to its companyⓘ.
