ויהי בשלשים שנה ברביעי בחמשה לחדש ואני בתוך הגולה על נהר כבר נפתחו השמים ואראה מראות אלהים
Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ τριακοστῷ ἔτει ἐν τῷ τετάρτῳ μηνὶ πέμπτῃ τοῦ μηνὸς καὶ ἐγὼ ἤμην ἐν μέσῳ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας ἐπὶ τοῦ ποταμοῦ τοῦ Χοβαρ, καὶ ἠνοίχθησαν οἱ οὐρανοί, καὶ εἶδον ὁράσεις θεοῦ·
In the ⓘ year, in the fourth month, on the fifth of the month, while I was among the ⓘ by the river ⓘ, the heavens were opened and I saw ⓘ.

בחמשה לחדש היא השנה החמישית לגלות המלך יויכין
πέμπτῃ τοῦ μηνός [τοῦτο τὸ ἔτος τὸ πέμπτον τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας τοῦ βασιλέως Ιωακιμ]
On the fifth of the month — it is the fifth year of the exile of king ⓘ —

היה היה דבר יהוה אל יחזקאל בן בוזי הכהן בארץ כשדים על נהר כבר ותהי עליו שם יד יהוה
καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ιεζεκιηλ υἱὸν Βουζι τὸν ἱερέα ἐν γῇ Χαλδαίων ἐπὶ τοῦ ποταμοῦ τοῦ Χοβαρ· καὶ ἐγένετο ἐπ’ ἐμὲ χεὶρ κυρίου,
the word of the Tetragrammaton truly came to ⓘ son of Buzì, the ⓘ, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Kevàr; there the hand of the Tetragrammaton came upon him, ⓘ.

וארא והנה רוח סערה באה מן הצפון ענן גדול ואש מתלקחת ונגה לו סביב ומתוכה כעין החשמל מתוך האש
καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδοὺ πνεῦμα ἐξαῖρον ἤρχετο ἀπὸ βορρᾶ, καὶ νεφέλη μεγάλη ἐν αὐτῷ, καὶ φέγγος κύκλῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ πῦρ ἐξαστράπτον, καὶ ἐν τῷ μέσῳ αὐτοῦ ὡς ὅρασις ἠλέκτρου ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ πυρὸς καὶ φέγγος ἐν αὐτῷ.
I looked, and behold: a ⓘ came from the north, a great cloud and a fire swirling upon itself, and brightness all around; and in the midst something like the gleam of ⓘ in the midst of the fire.

ומתוכה דמות ארבע חיות וזה מראיהן דמות אדם להנה
καὶ ἐν τῷ μέσῳ ὡς ὁμοίωμα τεσσάρων ζῴων· καὶ αὕτη ἡ ὅρασις αὐτῶν· ὁμοίωμα ἀνθρώπου ἐπ’ αὐτοῖς,
And in the midst something like the form of ⓘ: this was their appearance — they had the likeness of a human being.

וארבעה פנים לאחת וארבע כנפים לאחת להם
καὶ τέσσαρα πρόσωπα τῷ ἑνί, καὶ τέσσαρες πτέρυγες τῷ ἑνί.
Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.
7
ורגליהם רגל ישרה וכף רגליהם ככף רגל עגל ונצצים כעין נחשת קלל
καὶ τὰ σκέλη αὐτῶν ὀρθά, καὶ πτερωτοὶ οἱ πόδες αὐτῶν, καὶ σπινθῆρες ὡς ἐξαστράπτων χαλκός, καὶ ἐλαφραὶ αἱ πτέρυγες αὐτῶν.
Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the sole of a ⓘ foot, and they sparkled like the gleam of ⓘ.

וידו וידי אדם מתחת כנפיהם על ארבעת רבעיהם ופניהם וכנפיהם לארבעתם
καὶ χεὶρ ἀνθρώπου ὑποκάτωθεν τῶν πτερύγων αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὰ τέσσαρα μέρη αὐτῶν· καὶ τὰ πρόσωπα αὐτῶν τῶν τεσσάρων
They had human hands under their wings on their four sides; and the faces and wings of all four:

חברת אשה אל אחותה כנפיהם לא יסבו בלכתן איש אל עבר פניו ילכו
οὐκ ἐπεστρέφοντο ἐν τῷ βαδίζειν αὐτά, ἕκαστον κατέναντι τοῦ προσώπου αὐτῶν ἐπορεύοντο.
their wings touched one another; they did not turn as they moved, each went straight ahead.

ודמות פניהם פני אדם ופני אריה אל הימין לארבעתם ופני שור מהשמאול לארבעתן ופני נשר לארבעתן
καὶ ὁμοίωσις τῶν προσώπων αὐτῶν· πρόσωπον ἀνθρώπου καὶ πρόσωπον λέοντος ἐκ δεξιῶν τοῖς τέσσαρσιν καὶ πρόσωπον μόσχου ἐξ ἀριστερῶν τοῖς τέσσαρσιν καὶ πρόσωπον ἀετοῦ τοῖς τέσσαρσιν.
The likeness of their faces: a human face, and a lion's face on the right for all four, and a bull's face on the left for all four, and an eagle's face for all four.

ופניהם וכנפיהם פרדות מלמעלה לאיש שתים חברות איש ושתים מכסות את גויתיהנה
καὶ αἱ πτέρυγες αὐτῶν ἐκτεταμέναι ἄνωθεν τοῖς τέσσαρσιν, ἑκατέρῳ δύο συνεζευγμέναι πρὸς ἀλλήλας, καὶ δύο ἐπεκάλυπτον ἐπάνω τοῦ σώματος αὐτῶν.
Their faces and their wings were spread upward: for each, two wings touched one another, and two covered their bodies.

ואיש אל עבר פניו ילכו אל אשר יהיה שמה הרוח ללכת ילכו לא יסבו בלכתן
καὶ ἑκάτερον κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἐπορεύετο· οὗ ἂν ἦν τὸ πνεῦμα πορευόμενον, ἐπορεύοντο καὶ οὐκ ἐπέστρεφον.
Each went straight ahead; wherever ⓘ was going, they went, without turning as they moved.

ודמות החיות מראיהם כגחלי אש בערות כמראה הלפדים היא מתהלכת בין החיות ונגה לאש ומן האש יוצא ברק
καὶ ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ζῴων ὅρασις ὡς ἀνθράκων πυρὸς καιομένων, ὡς ὄψις λαμπάδων συστρεφομένων ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ζῴων καὶ φέγγος τοῦ πυρός, καὶ ἐκ τοῦ πυρὸς ἐξεπορεύετο ἀστραπή.
As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like ⓘ of fire, like the appearance of ⓘ moving to and fro among the living creatures; the fire was bright, and from the fire came forth lightning.
