ואתה בן אדם הנבא אל הרי ישראל ואמרת הרי ישראל שמעו דבר יהוה
Καὶ σύ, υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, προφήτευσον ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη Ισραηλ καὶ εἰπὸν τοῖς ὄρεσιν τοῦ Ισραηλ Ἀκούσατε λόγον κυρίου
And you, ⓘ — son of man —, prophesy to the ⓘ and say: Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Tetragrammaton.

כה אמר אדני יהוה יען אמר האויב עליכם האח ובמות עולם למורשה היתה לנו
Τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος Ἀνθ ὧν εἶπεν ὁ ἐχθρὸς ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς Εὖγε ἔρημα αἰώνια εἰς κατάσχεσιν ἡμῖν ἐγενήθη,
Thus says the Lord Tetragrammaton: Because ⓘ has said concerning you: «ⓘ the ⓘ have become our possession»,

לכן הנבא ואמרת כה אמר אדני יהוה יען ביען שמות ושאף אתכם מסביב להיותכם מורשה לשארית הגוים ותעלו על שפת לשון ודבת עם
διὰ τοῦτο προφήτευσον καὶ εἰπόν Τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος Ἀντὶ τοῦ ἀτιμασθῆναι ὑμᾶς καὶ μισηθῆναι ὑμᾶς ὑπὸ τῶν κύκλῳ ὑμῶν τοῦ εἶναι ὑμᾶς εἰς κατάσχεσιν τοῖς καταλοίποις ἔθνεσιν καὶ ἀνέβητε λάλημα γλώσσῃ καὶ εἰς ὀνείδισμα ἔθνεσιν,
therefore prophesy and say: Thus says the Lord Tetragrammaton: Because they have ⓘ on every side, so that you have become the possession of the rest of the nations and have been taken up ⓘ of the peoples,

לכן הרי ישראל שמעו דבר אדני יהוה כה אמר אדני יהוה להרים ולגבעות לאפיקים ולגאיות ולחרבות השממות ולערים הנעזבות אשר היו לבז וללעג לשארית הגוים אשר מסביב
διὰ τοῦτο, ὄρη Ισραηλ, ἀκούσατε λόγον κυρίου Τάδε λέγει κύριος τοῖς ὄρεσιν καὶ τοῖς βουνοῖς καὶ ταῖς φάραγξιν καὶ τοῖς χειμάρροις καὶ τοῖς ἐξηρημωμένοις καὶ ἠφανισμένοις καὶ ταῖς πόλεσιν ταῖς ἐγκαταλελειμμέναις, αἳ ἐγένοντο εἰς προνομὴν καὶ εἰς καταπάτημα τοῖς καταλειφθεῖσιν ἔθνεσιν περικύκλῳ·
therefore, mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Tetragrammaton addressed to the mountains and to the hills, to the ⓘ, to the desolate ruins and to the forsaken cities that have become ⓘ to the rest of the peoples surrounding you;

לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה אם לא באש קנאתי דברתי על שארית הגוים ועל אדום כלא אשר נתנו את ארצי להם למורשה בשמחת כל לבב בשאט נפש למען מגרשה לבז
διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος Εἰ μὴν ἐν πυρὶ θυμοῦ μου ἐλάλησα ἐπὶ τὰ λοιπὰ ἔθνη καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν Ιδουμαίαν πᾶσαν, ὅτι ἔδωκαν τὴν γῆν μου ἑαυτοῖς εἰς κατάσχεσιν μετ’ εὐφροσύνης ἀτιμάσαντες ψυχὰς τοῦ ἀφανίσαι ἐν προνομῇ·
therefore thus says the Lord Tetragrammaton: In the fire of my ⓘ I have spoken against the rest of the peoples and against all ⓘ, who have assigned my land to themselves as a possession with wholehearted joy and ⓘ, in order to drive out its pasture and plunder it.

לכן הנבא על אדמת ישראל ואמרת להרים ולגבעות לאפיקים ולגאיות כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני בקנאתי ובחמתי דברתי יען כלמת גוים נשאתם
διὰ τοῦτο προφήτευσον ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ εἰπὸν τοῖς ὄρεσιν καὶ τοῖς βουνοῖς καὶ ταῖς φάραγξιν καὶ ταῖς νάπαις Τάδε λέγει κύριος Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ ζήλῳ μου καὶ ἐν τῷ θυμῷ μου ἐλάλησα ἀντὶ τοῦ ὀνειδισμοὺς ἐθνῶν ἐνέγκαι ὑμᾶς·
Therefore prophesy over the land of Israel and say to the mountains and to the hills, to the torrents and to the valleys: Thus says the Lord Tetragrammaton: Behold, in my jealousy and in my ⓘ I have spoken, because you have borne the reproach inflicted by the peoples.

לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה אני נשאתי את ידי אם לא הגוים אשר לכם מסביב המה כלמתם ישאו
διὰ τοῦτο ἐγὼ ἀρῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπὶ τὰ ἔθνη τὰ περικύκλῳ ὑμῶν, οὗτοι τὴν ἀτιμίαν αὐτῶν λήμψονται·
Therefore thus says the Lord Tetragrammaton: I have ⓘ in oath: the peoples who surround you, they themselves shall bear their reproach.

ואתם הרי ישראל ענפכם תתנו ופריכם תשאו לעמי ישראל כי קרבו לבוא
ὑμῶν δέ, ὄρη Ισραηλ, τὴν σταφυλὴν καὶ τὸν καρπὸν ὑμῶν καταφάγεται ὁ λαός μου, ὅτι ἐγγίζουσιν τοῦ ἐλθεῖν.
But you, mountains of Israel, you shall put forth your branches and bear your fruit for my people Israel, for ⓘ.

כי הנני אליכם ופניתי אליכם ונעבדתם ונזרעתם
ὅτι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐπιβλέψω ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς, καὶ κατεργασθήσεσθε καὶ σπαρήσεσθε.
For behold, I am for you and I will turn toward you, and you shall be ⓘ again.

והרביתי עליכם אדם כל בית ישראל כלה ונשבו הערים והחרבות תבנינה
καὶ πληθυνῶ ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς ἀνθρώπους, πᾶν οἶκον Ισραηλ εἰς τέλος, καὶ κατοικηθήσονται αἱ πόλεις, καὶ ἡ ἠρημωμένη οἰκοδομηθήσεται.
And I will multiply people upon you, all the house of Israel in its entirety: the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.

והרביתי עליכם אדם ובהמה ורבו ופרו והושבתי אתכם כקדמותיכם והטבתי מראשתיכם וידעתם כי אני יהוה
καὶ πληθυνῶ ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς ἀνθρώπους καὶ κτήνη καὶ κατοικιῶ ὑμᾶς ὡς τὸ ἐν ἀρχῇ ὑμῶν καὶ εὖ ποιήσω ὑμᾶς ὥσπερ τὰ ἔμπροσθεν ὑμῶν· καὶ γνώσεσθε ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος.
And I will multiply upon you human beings and animals, they shall increase and be fruitful; I will cause you to be inhabited as in your former times, indeed I will do more good to you than at your beginnings, and you shall know that I am the Tetragrammaton.

והולכתי עליכם אדם את עמי ישראל וירשוך והיית להם לנחלה ולא תוסף עוד לשכלם
καὶ γεννήσω ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς ἀνθρώπους τὸν λαόν μου Ισραηλ, καὶ κληρονομήσουσιν ὑμᾶς, καὶ ἔσεσθε αὐτοῖς εἰς κατάσχεσιν· καὶ οὐ μὴ προστεθῆτε ἔτι ἀτεκνωθῆναι ἀπ’ αὐτῶν.
And I will ⓘ, my people Israel: they shall possess you and you shall be their inheritance, and you shall no longer ⓘ.

כה אמר אדני יהוה יען אמרים לכם אכלת אדם אתי את ומשכלת גויך גוייך היית
τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος Ἀνθ ὧν εἶπάν σοι Κατέσθουσα ἀνθρώπους εἶ καὶ ἠτεκνωμένη ὑπὸ τοῦ ἔθνους σου ἐγένου,
Thus says the Lord Tetragrammaton: Because they say to you: «ⓘ, a land that has bereaved your peoples of children»,

לכן אדם לא תאכלי עוד וגויך וגוייך לא תכשלי תשכלי עוד נאם אדני יהוה
διὰ τοῦτο ἀνθρώπους οὐκέτι φάγεσαι καὶ τὸ ἔθνος σου οὐκ ἀτεκνώσεις ἔτι, λέγει κύριος κύριος.
therefore you shall devour men no more and you shall no longer bereave your peoples of children, ⓘ.
15
ולא אשמיע אליך עוד כלמת הגוים וחרפת עמים לא תשאי עוד וגויך וגוייך לא תכשלי עוד נאם אדני יהוה
καὶ οὐκ ἀκουσθήσεται οὐκέτι ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς ἀτιμία ἐθνῶν, καὶ ὀνειδισμοὺς λαῶν οὐ μὴ ἀνενέγκητε, λέγει κύριος κύριος.
And I will not let you hear any more the reproach of the nations, and you shall no longer bear the insult of the peoples, oracle of the Lord Tetragrammaton.

ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר
Καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων
And the word of the Tetragrammaton was addressed to me:
17
בן אדם בית ישראל ישבים על אדמתם ויטמאו אותה בדרכם ובעלילותם כטמאת הנדה היתה דרכם לפני
Υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, οἶκος Ισραηλ κατῴκησεν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐμίαναν αὐτὴν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς εἰδώλοις αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἀκαθαρσίαις αὐτῶν· κατὰ τὴν ἀκαθαρσίαν τῆς ἀποκαθημένης ἐγενήθη ἡ ὁδὸς αὐτῶν πρὸ προσώπου μου.
Mortal, the house of Israel was living on its own soil and defiled it by their conduct and their deeds; ⓘ was their conduct before me.
18
ואשפך חמתי עליהם על הדם אשר שפכו על הארץ ובגלוליהם טמאוה
καὶ ἐξέχεα τὸν θυμόν μου ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς
So I poured out my fury upon them for the blood they had shed upon the land and for the ⓘ with which they had defiled it.
19
ואפיץ אתם בגוים ויזרו בארצות כדרכם וכעלילותם שפטתים
καὶ διέσπειρα αὐτοὺς εἰς τὰ ἔθνη καὶ ἐλίκμησα αὐτοὺς εἰς τὰς χώρας· κατὰ τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτῶν καὶ κατὰ τὴν ἁμαρτίαν αὐτῶν ἔκρινα αὐτούς.
And I scattered them among the nations and they were ⓘ throughout the lands; according to their conduct and their deeds I judged them.
20
ויבוא אל הגוים אשר באו שם ויחללו את שם קדשי באמר להם עם יהוה אלה ומארצו יצאו
καὶ εἰσήλθοσαν εἰς τὰ ἔθνη, οὗ εἰσήλθοσαν ἐκεῖ, καὶ ἐβεβήλωσαν τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ ἅγιον ἐν τῷ λέγεσθαι αὐτούς Λαὸς κυρίου οὗτοι καὶ ἐκ τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ ἐξεληλύθασιν.
And they came among the nations where they went, and ⓘ, when it was said of them: «These are the people of the Tetragrammaton, yet they have had to go out of his land into exile».
21
ואחמל על שם קדשי אשר חללוהו בית ישראל בגוים אשר באו שמה
καὶ ἐφεισάμην αὐτῶν διὰ τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ ἅγιον, ὃ ἐβεβήλωσαν οἶκος Ισραηλ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, οὗ εἰσήλθοσαν ἐκεῖ.
But I had concern for my holy Name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations to which they had come.
22
לכן אמר לבית ישראל כה אמר אדני יהוה לא למענכם אני עשה בית ישראל כי אם לשם קדשי אשר חללתם בגוים אשר באתם שם
διὰ τοῦτο εἰπὸν τῷ οἴκῳ Ισραηλ Τάδε λέγει κύριος Οὐχ ὑμῖν ἐγὼ ποιῶ, οἶκος Ισραηλ, ἀλλ’ ἢ διὰ τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ ἅγιον, ὃ ἐβεβηλώσατε ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, οὗ εἰσήλθετε ἐκεῖ.
Therefore say to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord Tetragrammaton: ⓘ, O house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy Name which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.
23
וקדשתי את שמי הגדול המחלל בגוים אשר חללתם בתוכם וידעו הגוים כי אני יהוה נאם אדני יהוה בהקדשי בכם לעיניהם
καὶ ἁγιάσω τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ μέγα τὸ βεβηλωθὲν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, ὃ ἐβεβηλώσατε ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν, καὶ γνώσονται τὰ ἔθνη ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος ἐν τῷ ἁγιασθῆναί με ἐν ὑμῖν κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν.
And I will ⓘ, which has been profaned among the nations, that Name which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Tetragrammaton, oracle of the Lord Tetragrammaton, when I am sanctified in you before their eyes.

ולקחתי אתכם מן הגוים וקבצתי אתכם מכל הארצות והבאתי אתכם אל אדמתכם
καὶ λήμψομαι ὑμᾶς ἐκ τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ ἀθροίσω ὑμᾶς ἐκ πασῶν τῶν γαιῶν καὶ εἰσάξω ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν γῆν ὑμῶν.
And I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the lands and bring you back to your own soil.
25
וזרקתי עליכם מים טהורים וטהרתם מכל טמאותיכם ומכל גלוליכם אטהר אתכם
καὶ ῥανῶ ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς ὕδωρ καθαρόν, καὶ καθαρισθήσεσθε ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἀκαθαρσιῶν ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν εἰδώλων ὑμῶν, καὶ καθαριῶ ὑμᾶς.
And I will sprinkle upon you ⓘ and you shall be clean: from all your impurities and from all your idols I will cleanse you.

ונתתי לכם לב חדש ורוח חדשה אתן בקרבכם והסרתי את לב האבן מבשרכם ונתתי לכם לב בשר
καὶ δώσω ὑμῖν καρδίαν καινὴν καὶ πνεῦμα καινὸν δώσω ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ ἀφελῶ τὴν καρδίαν τὴν λιθίνην ἐκ τῆς σαρκὸς ὑμῶν καὶ δώσω ὑμῖν καρδίαν σαρκίνην.
And I will give you a ⓘ and a ⓘ I will put within you; I will remove from your flesh the ⓘ and I will give you a ⓘ.
27
ואת רוחי אתן בקרבכם ועשיתי את אשר בחקי תלכו ומשפטי תשמרו ועשיתם
καὶ τὸ πνεῦμά μου δώσω ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ ποιήσω ἵνα ἐν τοῖς δικαιώμασίν μου πορεύησθε καὶ τὰ κρίματά μου φυλάξησθε καὶ ποιήσητε.
And ⓘ I will put within you, and I will cause you to walk in my ⓘ, and you shall keep my ordinances and do them.
28
וישבתם בארץ אשר נתתי לאבתיכם והייתם לי לעם ואנכי אהיה לכם לאלהים
καὶ κατοικήσετε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ἧς ἔδωκα τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν, καὶ ἔσεσθέ μοι εἰς λαόν, κἀγὼ ἔσομαι ὑμῖν εἰς θεόν.
And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people and I will be your God.
29
והושעתי אתכם מכל טמאותיכם וקראתי אל הדגן והרביתי אתו ולא אתן עליכם רעב
καὶ σώσω ὑμᾶς ἐκ πασῶν τῶν ἀκαθαρσιῶν ὑμῶν καὶ καλέσω τὸν σῖτον καὶ πληθυνῶ αὐτὸν καὶ οὐ δώσω ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς λιμόν·
And I will save you from all your impurities; I will summon the ⓘ and make it plentiful, and I will not send famine upon you again.
30
והרביתי את פרי העץ ותנובת השדה למען אשר לא תקחו עוד חרפת רעב בגוים
καὶ πληθυνῶ τὸν καρπὸν τοῦ ξύλου καὶ τὰ γενήματα τοῦ ἀγροῦ, ὅπως μὴ λάβητε ὀνειδισμὸν λιμοῦ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν.
And I will make the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field plentiful, so that you may never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations.
31
וזכרתם את דרכיכם הרעים ומעלליכם אשר לא טובים ונקטתם בפניכם על עונתיכם ועל תועבותיכם
καὶ μνησθήσεσθε τὰς ὁδοὺς ὑμῶν τὰς πονηρὰς καὶ τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα ὑμῶν τὰ μὴ ἀγαθὰ καὶ προσοχθιεῖτε κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς ἀνομίαις ὑμῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τοῖς βδελύγμασιν ὑμῶν.
And then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will ⓘ on account of your iniquities and your abominations.
32
לא למענכם אני עשה נאם אדני יהוה יודע לכם בושו והכלמו מדרכיכם בית ישראל
οὐ δι’ ὑμᾶς ἐγὼ ποιῶ, λέγει κύριος κύριος, γνωστὸν ἔσται ὑμῖν· αἰσχύνθητε καὶ ἐντράπητε ἐκ τῶν ὁδῶν ὑμῶν, οἶκος Ισραηλ.
It is not for your sake that I act, oracle of the Lord Tetragrammaton, let it be known to you: ⓘ for your ways, O house of Israel.
33
כה אמר אדני יהוה ביום טהרי אתכם מכל עונותיכם והושבתי את הערים ונבנו החרבות
τάδε λέγει κύριος Ἐν ἡμέρᾳ, ᾗ καθαριῶ ὑμᾶς ἐκ πασῶν τῶν ἀνομιῶν ὑμῶν, καὶ κατοικιῶ τὰς πόλεις, καὶ οἰκοδομηθήσονται αἱ ἔρημοι.
Thus says the Lord Tetragrammaton: On the day when I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited and the ruins to be rebuilt.

והארץ הנשמה תעבד תחת אשר היתה שממה לעיני כל עובר
καὶ ἡ γῆ ἡ ἠφανισμένη ἐργασθήσεται, ἀνθ’ ὧν ὅτι ἠφανισμένη ἐγενήθη κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς παντὸς παροδεύοντος.
And the desolate land shall be tilled and cultivated, instead of being a desolation in the sight of every passerby.
35
ואמרו הארץ הלזו הנשמה היתה כגן עדן והערים החרבות והנשמות והנהרסות בצורות ישבו
καὶ ἐροῦσιν Ἡ γῆ ἐκείνη ἡ ἠφανισμένη ἐγενήθη ὡς κῆπος τρυφῆς, καὶ αἱ πόλεις αἱ ἔρημοι καὶ ἠφανισμέναι καὶ κατεσκαμμέναι ὀχυραὶ ἐκάθισαν.
And they shall say: «This land, which was desolate, has become ⓘ, and the cities that were ruined, desolate and demolished, are now fortified and inhabited».

וידעו הגוים אשר ישארו סביבותיכם כי אני יהוה בניתי הנהרסות נטעתי הנשמה אני יהוה דברתי ועשיתי
καὶ γνώσονται τὰ ἔθνη, ὅσα ἂν καταλειφθῶσιν κύκλῳ ὑμῶν, ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ᾠκοδόμησα τὰς καθῃρημένας καὶ κατεφύτευσα τὰς ἠφανισμένας· ἐγὼ κύριος ἐλάλησα καὶ ποιήσω.
And the nations that remain round about you shall know that I, the Tetragrammaton, have rebuilt the ruined places and replanted the desolate land: I, the Tetragrammaton, have spoken and I will do it.
37
כה אמר אדני יהוה עוד זאת אדרש לבית ישראל לעשות להם ארבה אתם כצאן אדם
τάδε λέγει κύριος Ἔτι τοῦτο ζητηθήσομαι τῷ οἴκῳ Ισραηλ τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτοῖς· πληθυνῶ αὐτοὺς ὡς πρόβατα ἀνθρώπους.
Thus says the Lord Tetragrammaton: This also ⓘ by the house of Israel, to act on their behalf: I will multiply them with people like a flock.
38
כצאן קדשים כצאן ירושלם במועדיה כן תהיינה הערים החרבות מלאות צאן אדם וידעו כי אני יהוה
ὡς πρόβατα ἅγια, ὡς πρόβατα Ιερουσαλημ ἐν ταῖς ἑορταῖς αὐτῆς, οὕτως ἔσονται αἱ πόλεις αἱ ἔρημοι πλήρεις προβάτων ἀνθρώπων· καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος.
Like ⓘ, like the flock of Yerushalàyim in her ⓘ, so shall the ruined cities be filled with flocks of people; and they shall know that I am the Tetragrammaton.
