הנני שלח מלאכי ופנה דרך לפני ופתאם יבוא אל היכלו האדון אשר אתם מבקשים ומלאך הברית אשר אתם חפצים הנה בא אמר יהוה צבאות
ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐξαποστέλλω τὸν ἄγγελόν μου, καὶ ἐπιβλέψεται ὁδὸν πρὸ προσώπου μου, καὶ ἐξαίφνης ἥξει εἰς τὸν ναὸν ἑαυτοῦ κύριος, ὃν ὑμεῖς ζητεῖτε, καὶ ὁ ἄγγελος τῆς διαθήκης, ὃν ὑμεῖς θέλετε· ἰδοὺ ἔρχεται, λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ.
Behold, I am sending my ⓘ, and he will clear the way before me; and suddenly there will come to his ⓘ the ⓘ whom you seek, and the ⓘ whom you desire: behold, he comes, says the Tetragrammaton ⓘ.

ומי מכלכל את יום בואו ומי העמד בהראותו כי הוא כאש מצרף וכברית מכבסים
καὶ τίς ὑπομενεῖ ἡμέραν εἰσόδου αὐτοῦ; ἢ τίς ὑποστήσεται ἐν τῇ ὀπτασίᾳ αὐτοῦ; διότι αὐτὸς εἰσπορεύεται ὡς πῦρ χωνευτηρίου καὶ ὡς πόα πλυνόντων.
And who will endure the day of his coming? Who will stand when he appears? For he is like ⓘ and like the ⓘ.

וישב מצרף ומטהר כסף וטהר את בני לוי וזקק אתם כזהב וככסף והיו ליהוה מגישי מנחה בצדקה
καὶ καθιεῖται χωνεύων καὶ καθαρίζων ὡς τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ ὡς τὸ χρυσίον· καὶ καθαρίσει τοὺς υἱοὺς Λευι καὶ χεεῖ αὐτοὺς ὡς τὸ χρυσίον καὶ ὡς τὸ ἀργύριον· καὶ ἔσονται τῷ κυρίῳ προσάγοντες θυσίαν ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ.
And he will sit to smelt and to purify silver, and he will purify the ⓘ and refine them like gold and silver, and they will be to the Tetragrammaton those who offer an ⓘ in ⓘ.

וערבה ליהוה מנחת יהודה וירושלם כימי עולם וכשנים קדמניות
καὶ ἀρέσει τῷ κυρίῳ θυσία Ιουδα καὶ Ιερουσαλημ καθὼς αἱ ἡμέραι τοῦ αἰῶνος καὶ καθὼς τὰ ἔτη τὰ ἔμπροσθεν.
And the oblation of ⓘ and of ⓘ will be pleasing to the Tetragrammaton as in the ancient days and as in the years of old.

וקרבתי אליכם למשפט והייתי עד ממהר במכשפים ובמנאפים ובנשבעים לשקר ובעשקי שכר שכיר אלמנה ויתום ומטי גר ולא יראוני אמר יהוה צבאות
καὶ προσάξω πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐν κρίσει καὶ ἔσομαι μάρτυς ταχὺς ἐπὶ τὰς φαρμακοὺς καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς μοιχαλίδας καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ὀμνύοντας τῷ ὀνόματί μου ἐπὶ ψεύδει καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀποστεροῦντας μισθὸν μισθωτοῦ καὶ τοὺς καταδυναστεύοντας χήραν καὶ τοὺς κονδυλίζοντας ὀρφανοὺς καὶ τοὺς ἐκκλίνοντας κρίσιν προσηλύτου καὶ τοὺς μὴ φοβουμένους με, λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ.
And I will draw near to you for ⓘ, and I will be a swift witness against sorcerers and against adulterers and against those who swear falsely, against those who defraud the hired worker of his wages, oppress the widow and the orphan, pervert the right of the ⓘ and do not fear me, says the Tetragrammaton of hosts.

כי אני יהוה לא שניתי ואתם בני יעקב לא כליתם
Διότι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν, καὶ οὐκ ἠλλοίωμαι· καὶ ὑμεῖς, υἱοὶ Ιακωβ, οὐκ ἀπέχεσθε
For I, the Tetragrammaton, ⓘ — and therefore you, sons of ⓘ, have not been consumed.

למימי אבתיכם סרתם מחקי ולא שמרתם שובו אלי ואשובה אליכם אמר יהוה צבאות ואמרתם במה נשוב
ἀπὸ τῶν ἀδικιῶν τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν, ἐξεκλίνατε νόμιμά μου καὶ οὐκ ἐφυλάξασθε. ἐπιστρέψατε πρός με, καὶ ἐπιστραφήσομαι πρὸς ὑμᾶς, λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ. καὶ εἴπατε Ἐν τίνι ἐπιστρέψωμεν;
From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them: ⓘ, says the Tetragrammaton of hosts. And you say: «In what shall we return?».

היקבע אדם אלהים כי אתם קבעים אתי ואמרתם במה קבענוך המעשר והתרומה
εἰ πτερνιεῖ ἄνθρωπος θεόν; διότι ὑμεῖς πτερνίζετέ με. καὶ ἐρεῖτε Ἐν τίνι ἐπτερνίκαμέν σε; ὅτι τὰ ἐπιδέκατα καὶ αἱ ἀπαρχαὶ μεθ’ ὑμῶν εἰσιν·
Will a man defraud God? Yet you are defrauding me. And you say: «In what have we defrauded you?». In the ⓘ and in the ⓘ.

במארה אתם נארים ואתי אתם קבעים הגוי כלו
καὶ ἀποβλέποντες ὑμεῖς ἀποβλέπετε, καὶ ἐμὲ ὑμεῖς πτερνίζετε· τὸ ἔθνος συνετελέσθη.
You are cursed with a curse, yet it is me you are defrauding, the whole nation.

הביאו את כל המעשר אל בית האוצר ויהי טרף בביתי ובחנוני נא בזאת אמר יהוה צבאות אם לא אפתח לכם את ארבות השמים והריקתי לכם ברכה עד בלי די
καὶ εἰσηνέγκατε πάντα τὰ ἐκφόρια εἰς τοὺς θησαυρούς, καὶ ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ ἔσται ἡ διαρπαγὴ αὐτοῦ. ἐπισκέψασθε δὴ ἐν τούτῳ, λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ, ἐὰν μὴ ἀνοίξω ὑμῖν τοὺς καταρράκτας τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἐκχεῶ ὑμῖν τὴν εὐλογίαν μου ἕως τοῦ ἱκανωθῆναι·
Bring all the tithe to the ⓘ, so that there may be food in my house, and ⓘ, says the Tetragrammaton of hosts, whether I will not open for you the ⓘ and pour out for you a blessing until there is no room for it.

וגערתי לכם באכל ולא ישחת לכם את פרי האדמה ולא תשכל לכם הגפן בשדה אמר יהוה צבאות
καὶ διαστελῶ ὑμῖν εἰς βρῶσιν καὶ οὐ μὴ διαφθείρω ὑμῶν τὸν καρπὸν τῆς γῆς, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀσθενήσῃ ὑμῶν ἡ ἄμπελος ἡ ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ, λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ.
And I will rebuke the ⓘ for you, so that it will not destroy the fruit of your land, and your vine in the field will not fail to bear fruit, says the Tetragrammaton of hosts.

ואשרו אתכם כל הגוים כי תהיו אתם ארץ חפץ אמר יהוה צבאות
καὶ μακαριοῦσιν ὑμᾶς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη, διότι ἔσεσθε ὑμεῖς γῆ θελητή, λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ.
And all the nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the Tetragrammaton of hosts.

חזקו עלי דבריכם אמר יהוה ואמרתם מה נדברנו עליך
Ἐβαρύνατε ἐπ’ ἐμὲ τοὺς λόγους ὑμῶν, λέγει κύριος, καὶ εἴπατε Ἐν τίνι κατελαλήσαμεν κατὰ σοῦ;
Your words against me have been harsh, says the Tetragrammaton; and you say: «What have we spoken against you?».

אמרתם שוא עבד אלהים ומה בצע כי שמרנו משמרתו וכי הלכנו קדרנית מפני יהוה צבאות
εἴπατε Μάταιος ὁ δουλεύων θεῷ, καὶ τί πλέον ὅτι ἐφυλάξαμεν τὰ φυλάγματα αὐτοῦ καὶ διότι ἐπορεύθημεν ἱκέται πρὸ προσώπου κυρίου παντοκράτορος;
You have said: «It is vain to serve God; what profit is there in keeping his ⓘ and in walking ⓘ before the Tetragrammaton of hosts?

ועתה אנחנו מאשרים זדים גם נבנו עשי רשעה גם בחנו אלהים וימלטו
καὶ νῦν ἡμεῖς μακαρίζομεν ἀλλοτρίους, καὶ ἀνοικοδομοῦνται πάντες ποιοῦντες ἄνομα καὶ ἀντέστησαν θεῷ καὶ ἐσώθησαν.
And now we call the ⓘ blessed: indeed, the workers of iniquity prosper; indeed, they put God to the test and escape».

אז נדברו יראי יהוה איש את רעהו ויקשב יהוה וישמע ויכתב ספר זכרון לפניו ליראי יהוה ולחשבי שמו
Ταῦτα κατελάλησαν οἱ φοβούμενοι τὸν κύριον, ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ· καὶ προσέσχεν κύριος καὶ εἰσήκουσεν καὶ ἔγραψεν βιβλίον μνημοσύνου ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ τοῖς φοβουμένοις τὸν κύριον καὶ εὐλαβουμένοις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ.
Then those who ⓘ spoke with one another; and the Tetragrammaton gave heed and heard, and a ⓘ was written before him for those who fear the Tetragrammaton and for those who esteem his Name.

והיו לי אמר יהוה צבאות ליום אשר אני עשה סגלה וחמלתי עליהם כאשר יחמל איש על בנו העבד אתו
καὶ ἔσονταί μοι, λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ, εἰς ἡμέραν, ἣν ἐγὼ ποιῶ εἰς περιποίησιν, καὶ αἱρετιῶ αὐτοὺς ὃν τρόπον αἱρετίζει ἄνθρωπος τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ τὸν δουλεύοντα αὐτῷ.
«And they will be mine, says the Tetragrammaton of hosts, on the day that I prepare, a ⓘ; and I will spare them as a man spares the son who serves him.

ושבתם וראיתם בין צדיק לרשע בין עבד אלהים לאשר לא עבדו
καὶ ἐπιστραφήσεσθε καὶ ὄψεσθε ἀνὰ μέσον δικαίου καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον ἀνόμου καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ δουλεύοντος θεῷ καὶ τοῦ μὴ δουλεύοντος.
And you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him».

כי הנה היום בא בער כתנור והיו כל זדים וכל עשה רשעה קש ולהט אתם היום הבא אמר יהוה צבאות אשר לא יעזב להם שרש וענף
διότι ἰδοὺ ἡμέρα κυρίου ἔρχεται καιομένη ὡς κλίβανος καὶ φλέξει αὐτούς, καὶ ἔσονται πάντες οἱ ἀλλογενεῖς καὶ πάντες οἱ ποιοῦντες ἄνομα καλάμη, καὶ ἀνάψει αὐτοὺς ἡ ἡμέρα ἡ ἐρχομένη, λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ, καὶ οὐ μὴ ὑπολειφθῇ ἐξ αὐτῶν ῥίζα οὐδὲ κλῆμα.
For behold, the day is coming, burning like a ⓘ: the arrogant and every worker of iniquity will be ⓘ, and the coming day will set them ablaze, says the Tetragrammaton of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.
20
וזרחה לכם יראי שמי שמש צדקה ומרפא בכנפיה ויצאתם ופשתם כעגלי מרבק
καὶ ἀνατελεῖ ὑμῖν τοῖς φοβουμένοις τὸ ὄνομά μου ἥλιος δικαιοσύνης καὶ ἴασις ἐν ταῖς πτέρυξιν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐξελεύσεσθε καὶ σκιρτήσετε ὡς μοσχάρια ἐκ δεσμῶν ἀνειμένα.
But for you who fear my Name, the ⓘ will rise, and you will go out and leap like calves from the stall.
21
ועסותם רשעים כי יהיו אפר תחת כפות רגליכם ביום אשר אני עשה אמר יהוה צבאות
καὶ καταπατήσετε ἀνόμους, διότι ἔσονται σποδὸς ὑποκάτω τῶν ποδῶν ὑμῶν ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ, ᾗ ἐγὼ ποιῶ, λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ.
And you will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I prepare, says the Tetragrammaton of hosts.
22
זכרו תורת משה עבדי אשר צויתי אותו בחרב על כל ישראל חקים ומשפטים
καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω ὑμῖν Ηλιαν τὸν Θεσβίτην πρὶν ἐλθεῖν ἡμέραν κυρίου τὴν μεγάλην καὶ ἐπιφανῆ,
ⓘ, which I commanded him at ⓘ for all Israel, statutes and ordinances.
23
הנה אנכי שלח לכם את אליה הנביא לפני בוא יום יהוה הגדול והנורא
ὃς ἀποκαταστήσει καρδίαν πατρὸς πρὸς υἱὸν καὶ καρδίαν ἀνθρώπου πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ, μὴ ἔλθω καὶ πατάξω τὴν γῆν ἄρδην.
Behold, I am sending to you ⓘ before the coming of the day of the Tetragrammaton, great and terrible;
24
והשיב לב אבות על בנים ולב בנים על אבותם פן אבוא והכיתי את הארץ חרם
μνήσθητε νόμου Μωυσῆ τοῦ δούλου μου, καθότι ἐνετειλάμην αὐτῷ ἐν Χωρηβ πρὸς πάντα τὸν Ισραηλ προστάγματα καὶ δικαιώματα.
and he will ⓘ, lest I come and strike the land with ⓘ.
