אללי לי כי הייתי כאספי קיץ כעללת בציר אין אשכול לאכול בכורה אותה נפשי
Οἴμμοι ὅτι ἐγενόμην ὡς συνάγων καλάμην ἐν ἀμήτῳ καὶ ὡς ἐπιφυλλίδα ἐν τρυγήτῳ οὐχ ὑπάρχοντος βότρυος τοῦ φαγεῖν τὰ πρωτόγονα. οἴμμοι, ψυχή,
Woe is me! I have become like one who gathers summer fruitⓘ, like the gleanings of the vintageⓘ: there is no cluster to eat, not a single first-fruit of the fig that my soul desires.

אבד חסיד מן הארץ וישר באדם אין כלם לדמים יארבו איש את אחיהו יצודו חרם
ὅτι ἀπόλωλεν εὐλαβὴς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς, καὶ κατορθῶν ἐν ἀνθρώποις οὐχ ὑπάρχει· πάντες εἰς αἵματα δικάζονται, ἕκαστος τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ ἐκθλίβουσιν ἐκθλιβῇ.
The faithful of the covenantⓘ has perished from the earth, and among men there is no one upright; all lie in wait to shed blood, each hunts his own brother with the net.

על הרע כפים להיטיב השר שאל והשפט בשלום והגדול דבר הות נפשו הוא ויעבתוה
ἐπὶ τὸ κακὸν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν ἑτοιμάζουσιν· ὁ ἄρχων αἰτεῖ, καὶ ὁ κριτὴς εἰρηνικοὺς λόγους ἐλάλησεν, καταθύμιον ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ ἐστιν. καὶ ἐξελοῦμαι
On evil their hands are skilled, to do it well: the princeⓘ asks, and the judgeⓘ judges for reward, and the great man utters the desire of his soul — and so they weave their plot.

טובם כחדק ישר ממסוכה יום מצפיך פקדתך באה עתה תהיה מבוכתם
τὰ ἀγαθὰ αὐτῶν ὡς σὴς ἐκτρώγων καὶ βαδίζων ἐπὶ κανόνος ἐν ἡμέρᾳ σκοπιᾶς. οὐαὶ οὐαί, αἱ ἐκδικήσεις σου ἥκασιν, νῦν ἔσονται κλαυθμοὶ αὐτῶν.
The best among them is like a thornbushⓘ, the most upright worse than a hedge of thorns: the day foretold by your watchmenⓘ, your punishmentⓘ, comes; now is the time of their confusion.

אל תאמינו ברע אל תבטחו באלוף משכבת חיקך שמר פתחי פיך
μὴ καταπιστεύετε ἐν φίλοις καὶ μὴ ἐλπίζετε ἐπὶ ἡγουμένοις, ἀπὸ τῆς συγκοίτου σου φύλαξαι τοῦ ἀναθέσθαι τι αὐτῇ·
Do not trust in a friend, do not put confidence in a close companionⓘ; guard the gates of your mouth from her who lies in your bosom.

כי בן מנבל אב בת קמה באמה כלה בחמתה איבי איש אנשי ביתו
διότι υἱὸς ἀτιμάζει πατέρα, θυγάτηρ ἐπαναστήσεται ἐπὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτῆς, νύμφη ἐπὶ τὴν πενθερὰν αὐτῆς, ἐχθροὶ ἀνδρὸς πάντες οἱ ἄνδρες οἱ ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ.
For the son dishonors the father, the daughter rises against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law: a man's enemies are the men of his own householdⓘ.

ואני ביהוה אצפה אוחילה לאלהי ישעי ישמעני אלהי
Ἐγὼ δὲ ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον ἐπιβλέψομαι, ὑπομενῶ ἐπὶ τῷ θεῷ τῷ σωτῆρί μου, εἰσακούσεταί μου ὁ θεός μου.
But as for me, toward the Tetragrammaton I will lookⓘ, I will wait with hope for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

אל תשמחי איבתי לי כי נפלתי קמתי כי אשב בחשך יהוה אור לי
μὴ ἐπίχαιρέ μοι, ἡ ἐχθρά μου, ὅτι πέπτωκα· καὶ ἀναστήσομαι, διότι ἐὰν καθίσω ἐν τῷ σκότει, κύριος φωτιεῖ μοι.
Do not rejoice over me, O my enemyⓘ: though I have fallen, I will rise; though I sit in darkness, the Tetragrammaton is a light for me.

זעף יהוה אשא כי חטאתי לו עד אשר יריב ריבי ועשה משפטי יוציאני לאור אראה בצדקתו
ὀργὴν κυρίου ὑποίσω, ὅτι ἥμαρτον αὐτῷ, ἕως τοῦ δικαιῶσαι αὐτὸν τὴν δίκην μου· καὶ ποιήσει τὸ κρίμα μου καὶ ἐξάξει με εἰς τὸ φῶς, ὄψομαι τὴν δικαιοσύνην αὐτοῦ.
The wrath of the Tetragrammaton I will bearⓘ, for I have sinned against Him, until He pleads my causeⓘ and executes justice for me: He will bring me out into the light, I will see His righteousnessⓘ.

ותרא איבתי ותכסה בושה האמרה אלי איו יהוה אלהיך עיני תראינה בה עתה תהיה למרמס כטיט חוצות
καὶ ὄψεται ἡ ἐχθρά μου καὶ περιβαλεῖται αἰσχύνην ἡ λέγουσα πρός με Ποῦ κύριος ὁ θεός σου; οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου ἐπόψονται αὐτήν· νῦν ἔσται εἰς καταπάτημα ὡς πηλὸς ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς
Then my enemy will see and shame will cover her, she who said to me: «Where is the Tetragrammaton, your God?». My eyes will look upon her: now she will be trampled like mud of the streetsⓘ.

יום לבנות גדריך יום ההוא ירחק חק
ἡμέρας ἀλοιφῆς πλίνθου. ἐξάλειψίς σου ἡ ἡμέρα ἐκείνη, καὶ ἀποτρίψεται νόμιμά σου
A day for the rebuilding of your walls! In that day the boundaryⓘ will be pushed back.

יום הוא ועדיך יבוא למני אשור וערי מצור ולמני מצור ועד נהר וים מים והר ההר
ἡ ἡμέρα ἐκείνη· καὶ αἱ πόλεις σου ἥξουσιν εἰς ὁμαλισμὸν καὶ εἰς διαμερισμὸν Ἀσσυρίων καὶ αἱ πόλεις σου αἱ ὀχυραὶ εἰς διαμερισμὸν ἀπὸ Τύρου ἕως τοῦ ποταμοῦ Συρίας, ἡμέρα ὕδατος καὶ θορύβου·
In that day they will come to you from Asshùrⓘ and from fortified cities, from Matzòrⓘ to the River and from sea to sea, from mountain to mountain.

והיתה הארץ לשממה על ישביה מפרי מעלליהם
καὶ ἔσται ἡ γῆ εἰς ἀφανισμὸν σὺν τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν αὐτὴν ἐκ καρπῶν ἐπιτηδευμάτων αὐτῶν.
But the land will be desolationⓘ for its inhabitants, because of the fruit of their deeds.

רעה עמך בשבטך צאן נחלתך שכני לבדד יער בתוך כרמל ירעו בשן וגלעד כימי עולם
Ποίμαινε λαόν σου ἐν ῥάβδῳ σου, πρόβατα κληρονομίας σου, κατασκηνοῦντας καθ’ ἑαυτοὺς δρυμὸν ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ Καρμήλου· νεμήσονται τὴν Βασανῖτιν καὶ τὴν Γαλααδῖτιν καθὼς αἱ ἡμέραι τοῦ αἰῶνος.
Shepherd your people with your staffⓘ, the flock of your inheritance that dwells alone in a forest in the midst of Karmèlⓘ; let them graze in Bashàn and Ghilʿàd as in the days of old.

כימי צאתך מארץ מצרים אראנו נפלאות
καὶ κατὰ τὰς ἡμέρας ἐξοδίας σου ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ὄψεσθε θαυμαστά.
As in the days of your coming out of the land of Egyptⓘ I will show them wondersⓘ.

יראו גוים ויבשו מכל גבורתם ישימו יד על פה אזניהם תחרשנה
ὄψονται ἔθνη καὶ καταισχυνθήσονται ἐκ πάσης τῆς ἰσχύος αὐτῶν, ἐπιθήσουσιν χεῖρας ἐπὶ τὸ στόμα αὐτῶν, τὰ ὦτα αὐτῶν ἀποκωφωθήσονται.
The nations will see and be ashamed of all their might, they will lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears will become deaf.

ילחכו עפר כנחש כזחלי ארץ ירגזו ממסגרתיהם אל יהוה אלהינו יפחדו ויראו ממך
λείξουσιν χοῦν ὡς ὄφεις σύροντες γῆν, συγχυθήσονται ἐν συγκλεισμῷ αὐτῶν· ἐπὶ τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ ἡμῶν ἐκστήσονται καὶ φοβηθήσονται ἀπὸ σοῦ.
They will lick the dust like the serpentⓘ, like the creeping things of the earth; they will come trembling out of their strongholds, toward the Tetragrammaton our God they will turn in dread and will fear you.

מי אל כמוך נשא עון ועבר על פשע לשארית נחלתו לא החזיק לעד אפו כי חפץ חסד הוא
τίς θεὸς ὥσπερ σύ; ἐξαίρων ἀδικίας καὶ ὑπερβαίνων ἀσεβείας τοῖς καταλοίποις τῆς κληρονομίας αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐ συνέσχεν εἰς μαρτύριον ὀργὴν αὐτοῦ, ὅτι θελητὴς ἐλέους ἐστίν.
Who is a God like youⓘ, who removes iniquity and passes over transgressionⓘ for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not retain His anger forever, for He delights in steadfast loveⓘ.

ישוב ירחמנו יכבש עונתינו ותשליך במצלות ים כל חטאותם
αὐτὸς ἐπιστρέψει καὶ οἰκτιρήσει ἡμᾶς, καταδύσει τὰς ἀδικίας ἡμῶν καὶ ἀπορριφήσονται εἰς τὰ βάθη τῆς θαλάσσης, πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμῶν.
He will again have compassion on us, with His stirrings of mercyⓘ He will tread down our iniquities: and you will cast into the depths of the sea all their sins.

תתן אמת ליעקב חסד לאברהם אשר נשבעת לאבתינו מימי קדם
δώσεις ἀλήθειαν τῷ Ιακωβ, ἔλεον τῷ Αβρααμ, καθότι ὤμοσας τοῖς πατράσιν ἡμῶν κατὰ τὰς ἡμέρας τὰς ἔμπροσθεν.
You will give faithfulnessⓘ to Yaaqòv, steadfast loveⓘ to Avrahàm, as you swore to our fathers from the days of old.
