ויהי בשנה הרביעת ליהויקים בן יאשיהו מלך יהודה היה הדבר הזה אל ירמיהו מאת יהוה לאמר
Καὶ οὗτοι οἱ λόγοι τῆς βίβλου, οὓς ἀπέστειλεν Ιερεμιας ἐξ Ιερουσαλημ πρὸς τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους τῆς ἀποικίας καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἱερεῖς καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ψευδοπροφήτας ἐπιστολὴν εἰς Βαβυλῶνα τῇ ἀποικίᾳ καὶ πρὸς ἅπαντα τὸν λαὸν
And it came to pass in the fourth year of Yehoyaqìm son of Yoshiyàhu, king of Yehudàh, that this word came to Yirmeyàhu from the Tetragrammaton, saying:

קח לך מגלת ספר וכתבת אליה את כל הדברים אשר דברתי אליך על ישראל ועל יהודה ועל כל הגוים מיום דברתי אליך מימי יאשיהו ועד היום הזה
ὕστερον ἐξελθόντος Ιεχονιου τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ τῆς βασιλίσσης καὶ τῶν εὐνούχων καὶ παντὸς ἐλευθέρου καὶ δεσμώτου καὶ τεχνίτου ἐξ Ιερουσαλημ
Take yourself a scroll-bookⓘ and write in it all the words that I have spoken to you against Israèl, against Yehudàh, and against all the nations, from the day I spoke to you, from the days of Yoshiyàhuⓘ until this day.

אולי ישמעו בית יהודה את כל הרעה אשר אנכי חשב לעשות להם למען ישובו איש מדרכו הרעה וסלחתי לעונם ולחטאתם
ἐν χειρὶ Ελεασα υἱοῦ Σαφαν καὶ Γαμαριου υἱοῦ Χελκιου, ὃν ἀπέστειλεν Σεδεκιας βασιλεὺς Ιουδα πρὸς βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Βαβυλῶνα, λέγων
Perhapsⓘ the house of Yehudàh will hear all the evil I intend to do to them, so that each one may turn from his evil way, and I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

ויקרא ירמיהו את ברוך בן נריה ויכתב ברוך מפי ירמיהו את כל דברי יהוה אשר דבר אליו על מגלת ספר
Οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἐπὶ τὴν ἀποικίαν, ἣν ἀπῴκισα ἀπὸ Ιερουσαλημ
And Yirmeyàhu called Barùcⓘ son of Neriyàh, and Barùc wrote from the mouthⓘ of Yirmeyàhu all the words of the Tetragrammaton that he had spoken to him, on a scroll-book.

ויצוה ירמיהו את ברוך לאמר אני עצור לא אוכל לבוא בית יהוה
Οἰκοδομήσατε οἴκους καὶ κατοικήσατε καὶ φυτεύσατε παραδείσους καὶ φάγετε τοὺς καρποὺς αὐτῶν
And Yirmeyàhu commanded Barùc, saying: I am restrainedⓘ, I cannot enter the house of the Tetragrammaton;

ובאת אתה וקראת במגלה אשר כתבת מפי את דברי יהוה באזני העם בית יהוה ביום צום וגם באזני כל יהודה הבאים מעריהם תקראם
καὶ λάβετε γυναῖκας καὶ τεκνοποιήσατε υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ λάβετε τοῖς υἱοῖς ὑμῶν γυναῖκας καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας ὑμῶν ἀνδράσιν δότε καὶ πληθύνεσθε καὶ μὴ σμικρυνθῆτε
go therefore and read in the scroll which you have written from my mouth the words of the Tetragrammaton in the hearing of the people, in the house of the Tetragrammaton, on the day of fastingⓘ; and also in the hearing of all Yehudàh who come from their cities you shall read them.

אולי תפל תחנתם לפני יהוה וישבו איש מדרכו הרעה כי גדול האף והחמה אשר דבר יהוה אל העם הזה
καὶ ζητήσατε εἰς εἰρήνην τῆς γῆς, εἰς ἣν ἀπῴκισα ὑμᾶς ἐκεῖ, καὶ προσεύξασθε περὶ αὐτῶν πρὸς κύριον, ὅτι ἐν εἰρήνῃ αὐτῆς ἔσται εἰρήνη ὑμῖν.
Perhaps their supplicationⓘ will fall before the Tetragrammaton, and each will turn from his evil way; for great is the wrath and furyⓘ that the Tetragrammaton has pronounced against this people.

ויעש ברוך בן נריה ככל אשר צוהו ירמיהו הנביא לקרא בספר דברי יהוה בית יהוה
ὅτι οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος Μὴ ἀναπειθέτωσαν ὑμᾶς οἱ ψευδοπροφῆται οἱ ἐν ὑμῖν, καὶ μὴ ἀναπειθέτωσαν ὑμᾶς οἱ μάντεις ὑμῶν, καὶ μὴ ἀκούετε εἰς τὰ ἐνύπνια ὑμῶν, ἃ ὑμεῖς ἐνυπνιάζεσθε,
And Barùc son of Neriyàh did according to all that Yirmeyàhu the prophet had commanded him, reading in the book the words of the Tetragrammaton in the house of the Tetragrammaton.

ויהי בשנה החמשית ליהויקים בן יאשיהו מלך יהודה בחדש התשעי קראו צום לפני יהוה כל העם בירושלם וכל העם הבאים מערי יהודה בירושלם
ὅτι ἄδικα αὐτοὶ προφητεύουσιν ὑμῖν ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματί μου, καὶ οὐκ ἀπέστειλα αὐτούς.
And it came to pass in the fifth year of Yehoyaqìm son of Yoshiyàhu, king of Yehudàh, in the ninth monthⓘ, that they proclaimed a fast before the Tetragrammaton for all the people in Yerushalàyim, and for all the people who came from the cities of Yehudàh to Yerushalàyim.

ויקרא ברוך בספר את דברי ירמיהו בית יהוה בלשכת גמריהו בן שפן הספר בחצר העליון פתח שער בית יהוה החדש באזני כל העם
ὅτι οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος Ὅταν μέλλῃ πληροῦσθαι Βαβυλῶνι ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη, ἐπισκέψομαι ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐπιστήσω τοὺς λόγους μου ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς τοῦ τὸν λαὸν ὑμῶν ἀποστρέψαι εἰς τὸν τόπον τοῦτον·
And Barùc read in the book the words of Yirmeyàhu in the house of the Tetragrammaton, in the chamberⓘ of Ghemaryàh son of Shafàn, the scribe, in the upper court, at the entrance of the New Gateⓘ of the house of the Tetragrammaton, in the hearing of all the people.

וישמע מכיהו בן גמריהו בן שפן את כל דברי יהוה מעל הספר
καὶ λογιοῦμαι ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς λογισμὸν εἰρήνης καὶ οὐ κακὰ τοῦ δοῦναι ὑμῖν ταῦτα.
And Mikhàyhuⓘ son of Ghemaryàh son of Shafàn heard all the words of the Tetragrammaton from the book;

וירד בית המלך על לשכת הספר והנה שם כל השרים יושבים אלישמע הספר ודליהו בן שמעיהו ואלנתן בן עכבור וגמריהו בן שפן וצדקיהו בן חנניהו וכל השרים
καὶ προσεύξασθε πρός με, καὶ εἰσακούσομαι ὑμῶν·
and he went down to the king's house, to the scribe's chamber, and there all the officialsⓘ were sitting: Elishamà the scribe, and Delayàhu son of Shemaʿyàhu, and Elnatàn son of ʿAkhbòr, and Ghemaryàhu son of Shafàn, and Tzidqiyàhu son of Chananyàhu, and all the officials.

ויגד להם מכיהו את כל הדברים אשר שמע בקרא ברוך בספר באזני העם
καὶ ἐκζητήσατέ με, καὶ εὑρήσετέ με, ὅτι ζητήσετέ με ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ ὑμῶν,
And Mikhàyhu told them all the words he had heard when Barùc read in the book in the hearing of the people.

וישלחו כל השרים אל ברוך את יהודי בן נתניהו בן שלמיהו בן כושי לאמר המגלה אשר קראת בה באזני העם קחנה בידך ולך ויקח ברוך בן נריהו את המגלה בידו ויבא אליהם
καὶ ἐπιφανοῦμαι ὑμῖν. –
And all the officials sent to Barùc Yehudìⓘ son of Netanyàhu son of Shelemyàhu son of Kushì, saying: The scroll which you read in the hearing of the people, take it in your hand and come. And Barùc son of Neriyàhu took the scroll in his hand and came to them.

ויאמרו אליו שב נא וקראנה באזנינו ויקרא ברוך באזניהם
ὅτι εἴπατε Κατέστησεν ἡμῖν κύριος προφήτας ἐν Βαβυλῶνι,
And they said to him: Sit down, please, and read it in our hearing. And Barùc read it in their hearing.
