בעת ההיא נאם יהוה אהיה לאלהים לכל משפחות ישראל והמה יהיו לי לעם
Τῇ Μωαβ. Οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος Οὐαὶ ἐπὶ Ναβαυ, ὅτι ὤλετο· ἐλήμφθη Καριαθαιμ, ᾐσχύνθη Αμαθ καὶ ἡττήθη.
At that time — oracle of the Tetragrammaton — I will be God to all the families of Israelⓘ, and they will be my people.

כה אמר יהוה מצא חן במדבר עם שרידי חרב הלוך להרגיעו ישראל
οὐκ ἔστιν ἔτι ἰατρεία Μωαβ, ἀγαυρίαμα ἐν Εσεβων· ἐλογίσαντο ἐπ’ αὐτὴν κακά· ἐκόψαμεν αὐτὴν ἀπὸ ἔθνους, καὶ παῦσιν παύσεται, ὄπισθέν σου βαδιεῖται μάχαιρα.
Thus says the Tetragrammaton: The people that survived the sword found grace in the desert; Israel is walking toward its restⓘ.

מרחוק יהוה נראה לי ואהבת עולם אהבתיך על כן משכתיך חסד
ὅτι φωνὴ κεκραγότων ἐξ Ωρωναιμ, ὄλεθρος καὶ σύντριμμα μέγα
From afar the Tetragrammaton appeared to me: «With an everlasting loveⓘ I have loved you, therefore I have extended faithfulness to you».

עוד אבנך ונבנית בתולת ישראל עוד תעדי תפיך ויצאת במחול משחקים
Συνετρίβη Μωαβ, ἀναγγείλατε εἰς Ζογορα.
Again I will build you and you will be rebuilt, virgin of Israelⓘ.

עוד תטעי כרמים בהרי שמרון נטעו נטעים וחללו
ὅτι ἐπλήσθη Αλαωθ ἐν κλαυθμῷ, ἀναβήσεται κλαίων ἐν ὁδῷ Ωρωναιμ, κραυγὴν συντρίμματος ἠκούσατε
Again you will plant vineyards on the mountains of Samariaⓘ; the planters will plant and will enjoy them.

כי יש יום קראו נצרים בהר אפרים קומו ונעלה ציון אל יהוה אלהינו
Φεύγετε καὶ σώσατε τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμῶν καὶ ἔσεσθε ὥσπερ ὄνος ἄγριος ἐν ἐρήμῳ.
For the day comes when the watchmenⓘ will cry out on the hill of Ephraim: «Arise, let us go up to Zion, to the Tetragrammaton our God!»

כי כה אמר יהוה רנו ליעקב שמחה וצהלו בראש הגוים השמיעו הללו ואמרו הושע יהוה את עמך את שארית ישראל
ἐπειδὴ ἐπεποίθεις ἐν ὀχυρώμασίν σου, καὶ σὺ συλλημφθήσῃ· καὶ ἐξελεύσεται Χαμως ἐν ἀποικίᾳ, οἱ ἱερεῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτοῦ ἅμα.
For thus says the Tetragrammaton: Rejoice with gladness for Jacobⓘ, shout at the head of the nations; let your praise be heard and say: «Save, Tetragrammaton, your people, the remnant of Israelⓘ!»

הנני מביא אותם מארץ צפון וקבצתים מירכתי ארץ בם עור ופסח הרה וילדת יחדו קהל גדול ישובו הנה
καὶ ἥξει ὄλεθρος ἐπὶ πᾶσαν πόλιν, καὶ πόλις οὐ μὴ σωθῇ, καὶ ἀπολεῖται ὁ αὐλών, καὶ ἐξολεθρευθήσεται ἡ πεδινή, καθὼς εἶπεν κύριος.
Behold, I bring them back from the land of the north, I gather them from the ends of the earth; among them the blind and the lame, the pregnant woman and the woman in labour together: a great assemblyⓘ will come back here.

בבכי יבאו ובתחנונים אובילם אוליכם אל נחלי מים בדרך ישר לא יכשלו בה כי הייתי לישראל לאב ואפרים בכרי הוא
δότε σημεῖα τῇ Μωαβ, ὅτι ἁφῇ ἀναφθήσεται, καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ πόλεις αὐτῆς εἰς ἄβατον ἔσονται· πόθεν ἔνοικος αὐτῇ;
They will come with weeping, and with supplications I will lead them back; I will guide them to streams of waterⓘ by a straight way where they will not stumble; for I have become a father to Israel, and Ephraimⓘ is my firstborn.

שמעו דבר יהוה גוים והגידו באיים ממרחק ואמרו מזרה ישראל יקבצנו ושמרו כרעה עדרו
ἐπικατάρατος ὁ ποιῶν τὰ ἔργα κυρίου ἀμελῶς ἐξαίρων μάχαιραν αὐτοῦ ἀφ’ αἵματος.
Hear the word of the Tetragrammaton, O nations, and declare it in the distant coastlands; say: «He who scattered Israel will gather him and will keep him as the shepherdⓘ keeps his flock».

כי פדה יהוה את יעקב וגאלו מיד חזק ממנו
ἀνεπαύσατο Μωαβ ἐκ παιδαρίου καὶ πεποιθὼς ἦν ἐπὶ τῇ δόξῃ αὐτοῦ, οὐκ ἐνέχεεν ἐξ ἀγγείου εἰς ἀγγεῖον καὶ εἰς ἀποικισμὸν οὐκ ᾤχετο· διὰ τοῦτο ἔστη γεῦμα αὐτοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ, καὶ ὀσμὴ αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐξέλιπεν.
For the Tetragrammaton has redeemedⓘ Jacob, he has delivered him from the hand of one stronger than him.

ובאו ורננו במרום ציון ונהרו אל טוב יהוה על דגן ועל תירש ועל יצהר ועל בני צאן ובקר והיתה נפשם כגן רוה ולא יוסיפו לדאבה עוד
διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται, φησὶν κύριος, καὶ ἀποστελῶ αὐτῷ κλίνοντας, καὶ κλινοῦσιν αὐτὸν καὶ τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ λεπτυνοῦσιν καὶ τὰ κέρατα αὐτοῦ συγκόψουσιν.
They will come and exult on the height of Zion, and they will stream to the goods of the Tetragrammaton: the grain, the new wine, the oil, the young of the flock and the herd; their life will be like a watered gardenⓘ, and they will no longer languish.

אז תשמח בתולה במחול ובחרים וזקנים יחדו והפכתי אבלם לששון ונחמתים ושמחתים מיגונם
Ὅσα ἐπροφήτευσεν Ιερεμιας ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη.
Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance, young men and old men together; I will turn their mourning into joyⓘ, I will comfort them and gladden them after their sorrow.

ורויתי נפש הכהנים דשן ועמי את טובי ישבעו נאם יהוה
πῶς ἐρεῖτε Ἰσχυροί ἐσμεν καὶ ἄνθρωπος ἰσχύων εἰς τὰ πολεμικά;
I will fill the souls of the priests with abundance, and my people will be satisfied with my good things — oracle of the Tetragrammaton.

כה אמר יהוה קול ברמה נשמע נהי בכי תמרורים רחל מבכה על בניה מאנה להנחם על בניה כי איננו
Οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ Λαβὲ τὸ ποτήριον τοῦ οἴνου τοῦ ἀκράτου τούτου ἐκ χειρός μου καὶ ποτιεῖς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη, πρὸς ἃ ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω σε πρὸς αὐτούς,
Thus says the Tetragrammaton: A voice is heard in Ramahⓘ, lamentation, bitter weeping: Rachelⓘ is weeping for her children, she refuses to be consoled for her children, because they are no more.

כה אמר יהוה מנעי קולך מבכי ועיניך מדמעה כי יש שכר לפעלתך נאם יהוה ושבו מארץ אויב
καὶ πίονται καὶ ἐξεμοῦνται καὶ μανήσονται ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς μαχαίρας, ἧς ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτῶν.
Thus says the Tetragrammaton: Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for there is a rewardⓘ for your work — oracle of the Tetragrammaton — and they will return from the land of the enemy.
17
ויש תקוה לאחריתך נאם יהוה ושבו בנים לגבולם
καὶ ἔλαβον τὸ ποτήριον ἐκ χειρὸς κυρίου καὶ ἐπότισα τὰ ἔθνη, πρὸς ἃ ἀπέστειλέν με κύριος ἐπ’ αὐτά,
There is hopeⓘ for your future — oracle of the Tetragrammaton — and the children will return to their own borders.

שמוע שמעתי אפרים מתנודד יסרתני ואוסר כעגל לא למד השיבני ואשובה כי אתה יהוה אלהי
τὴν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ τὰς πόλεις Ιουδα καὶ βασιλεῖς Ιουδα καὶ ἄρχοντας αὐτοῦ τοῦ θεῖναι αὐτὰς εἰς ἐρήμωσιν καὶ εἰς ἄβατον καὶ εἰς συριγμὸν
I have truly heard Ephraim lamenting: «You have disciplined me and I was disciplined like an untamed calf; bring me backⓘ and I will return, for you are the Tetragrammaton, my God.

כי אחרי שובי נחמתי ואחרי הודעי ספקתי על ירך בשתי וגם נכלמתי כי נשאתי חרפת נעורי
καὶ τὸν Φαραω βασιλέα Αἰγύπτου καὶ τοὺς παῖδας αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς μεγιστᾶνας αὐτοῦ καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ
For after I strayed I repented, and after I came to understand I struck my thigh; I was ashamed and humiliated, for I bear the reproach of my youth».

הבן יקיר לי אפרים אם ילד שעשעים כי מדי דברי בו זכר אזכרנו עוד על כן המו מעי לו רחם ארחמנו נאם יהוה
καὶ πάντας τοὺς συμμίκτους αὐτοῦ καὶ πάντας τοὺς βασιλεῖς ἀλλοφύλων, τὴν Ἀσκαλῶνα καὶ τὴν Γάζαν καὶ τὴν Ακκαρων καὶ τὸ ἐπίλοιπον Ἀζώτου
Is Ephraim my precious sonⓘ to me, a child of delight? For as often as I speak against him, I still remember him; therefore my inward partsⓘ are stirred for him, I have compassion on him — oracle of the Tetragrammaton.
21
הציבי לך צינים שמי לך תמרורים שתי לבך למסלה דרך הלכתי הלכת שובי בתולת ישראל שבי אל עריך אלה
καὶ τὴν Ιδουμαίαν καὶ τὴν Μωαβῖτιν καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς Αμμων
Set up waymarksⓘ for yourself, erect signposts; set your heart on the highway, the road by which you went; return, O virgin of Israel, return to these your cities.
22
עד מתי תתחמקין הבת השובבה כי ברא יהוה חדשה בארץ נקבה תסובב גבר
καὶ πάντας βασιλεῖς Τύρου καὶ βασιλεῖς Σιδῶνος καὶ βασιλεῖς τοὺς ἐν τῷ πέραν τῆς θαλάσσης
How long will you wander, faithless daughterⓘ? For the Tetragrammaton has created a new thing on earth: a woman will encompass a manⓘ.
23
כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל עוד יאמרו את הדבר הזה בארץ יהודה ובעריו בשובי את שבותם יברכך יהוה נוה צדק הר הקדש
καὶ τὴν Δαιδαν καὶ τὴν Θαιμαν καὶ τὴν Ρως καὶ πᾶν περικεκαρμένον κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ
Thus says the Tetragrammaton of hosts, the God of Israel: They will once again use these words in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I restore their fortunes: «May the Tetragrammaton bless you, abode of righteousnessⓘ, holy mountain!»

וישבו בה יהודה וכל עריו יחדו אכרים ונסעו בעדר
καὶ πάντας τοὺς συμμίκτους τοὺς καταλύοντας ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ
And Judah and all its cities will dwell there together, the farmers and those who lead the flock.
25
כי הרויתי נפש עיפה וכל נפש דאבה מלאתי
καὶ πάντας βασιλεῖς Αιλαμ καὶ πάντας βασιλεῖς Περσῶν
For I will satisfy the wearyⓘ soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.
26
על זאת הקיצתי ואראה ושנתי ערבה לי
καὶ πάντας βασιλεῖς ἀπὸ ἀπηλιώτου τοὺς πόρρω καὶ τοὺς ἐγγύς, ἕκαστον πρὸς τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ, καὶ πάσας τὰς βασιλείας τὰς ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς.
Upon this I awokeⓘ and looked, and my sleep had been pleasant to me.
27
הנה ימים באים נאם יהוה וזרעתי את בית ישראל ואת בית יהודה זרע אדם וזרע בהמה
καὶ ἐρεῖς αὐτοῖς Οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος παντοκράτωρ Πίετε καὶ μεθύσθητε καὶ ἐξεμέσατε καὶ πεσεῖσθε καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀναστῆτε ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς μαχαίρας, ἧς ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω ἀνὰ μέσον ὑμῶν.
Behold, the days are coming — oracle of the Tetragrammaton — when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and the seed of beast.
28
והיה כאשר שקדתי עליהם לנתוש ולנתוץ ולהרס ולהאביד ולהרע כן אשקד עליהם לבנות ולנטוע נאם יהוה
καὶ ἔσται ὅταν μὴ βούλωνται δέξασθαι τὸ ποτήριον ἐκ τῆς χειρός σου ὥστε πιεῖν, καὶ ἐρεῖς Οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος Πιόντες πίεσθε·
And as I have watched over them to uproot and tear downⓘ, to overthrow, to destroy, and to bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant — oracle of the Tetragrammaton.
29
בימים ההם לא יאמרו עוד אבות אכלו בסר ושני בנים תקהינה
ὅτι ἐν πόλει, ἐν ᾗ ὠνομάσθη τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐπ’ αὐτήν, ἐγὼ ἄρχομαι κακῶσαι, καὶ ὑμεῖς καθάρσει οὐ μὴ καθαρισθῆτε, ὅτι μάχαιραν ἐγὼ καλῶ ἐπὶ τοὺς καθημένους ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.
In those days they will no longer say: «The fathers have eaten sour grapes and the children's teeth are set on edge».
30
כי אם איש בעונו ימות כל האדם האכל הבסר תקהינה שניו
καὶ σὺ προφητεύσεις ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς τοὺς λόγους τούτους καὶ ἐρεῖς Κύριος ἀφ’ ὑψηλοῦ χρηματιεῖ, ἀπὸ τοῦ ἁγίου αὐτοῦ δώσει φωνὴν αὐτοῦ· λόγον χρηματιεῖ ἐπὶ τοῦ τόπου αὐτοῦ, καὶ αιδαδ ὥσπερ τρυγῶντες ἀποκριθήσονται· καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς καθημένους ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν
But each one will die for his own iniquityⓘ: each man who eats sour grapes, his own teeth will be set on edge.
31
הנה ימים באים נאם יהוה וכרתי את בית ישראל ואת בית יהודה ברית חדשה
ἥκει ὄλεθρος ἐπὶ μέρος τῆς γῆς, ὅτι κρίσις τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, κρίνεται αὐτὸς πρὸς πᾶσαν σάρκα, οἱ δὲ ἀσεβεῖς ἐδόθησαν εἰς μάχαιραν, λέγει κύριος.
Behold, the days are coming — oracle of the Tetragrammaton — when I will cutⓘ with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah a new covenantⓘ.
32
לא כברית אשר כרתי את אבותם ביום החזיקי בידם להוציאם מארץ מצרים אשר המה הפרו את בריתי ואנכי בעלתי בם נאם יהוה
οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος Ἰδοὺ κακὰ ἔρχεται ἀπὸ ἔθνους ἐπὶ ἔθνος, καὶ λαῖλαψ μεγάλη ἐκπορεύεται ἀπ’ ἐσχάτου τῆς γῆς.
Not like the covenant that I cut with their fathers, on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt — my covenant that they brokeⓘ, while I was their lord — oracle of the Tetragrammaton.
33
כי זאת הברית אשר אכרת את בית ישראל אחרי הימים ההם נאם יהוה נתתי את תורתי בקרבם ועל לבם אכתבנה והייתי להם לאלהים והמה יהיו לי לעם
καὶ ἔσονται τραυματίαι ὑπὸ κυρίου ἐν ἡμέρᾳ κυρίου ἐκ μέρους τῆς γῆς καὶ ἕως εἰς μέρος τῆς γῆς· οὐ μὴ κατορυγῶσιν, εἰς κόπρια ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς ἔσονται.
For this is the covenant that I will cut with the house of Israel after those days — oracle of the Tetragrammaton —: I will put my torahⓘ within them and I will write it on their heart; I will be their God and they will be my people.
34
ולא ילמדו עוד איש את רעהו ואיש את אחיו לאמר דעו את יהוה כי כולם ידעו אותי למקטנם ועד גדולם נאם יהוה כי אסלח לעונם ולחטאתם לא אזכר עוד
ἀλαλάξατε, ποιμένες, καὶ κεκράξατε· καὶ κόπτεσθε, οἱ κριοὶ τῶν προβάτων· ὅτι ἐπληρώθησαν αἱ ἡμέραι ὑμῶν εἰς σφαγήν, καὶ πεσεῖσθε ὥσπερ οἱ κριοὶ οἱ ἐκλεκτοί·
And they will no longer teach one another and each his brother saying: «Knowⓘ the Tetragrammaton!», for they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest — oracle of the Tetragrammaton — for I will forgiveⓘ their iniquity and will remember their sin no more.
35
כה אמר יהוה נתן שמש לאור יומם חקת ירח וכוכבים לאור לילה רגע הים ויהמו גליו יהוה צבאות שמו
καὶ ἀπολεῖται φυγὴ ἀπὸ τῶν ποιμένων καὶ σωτηρία ἀπὸ τῶν κριῶν τῶν προβάτων.
Thus says the Tetragrammaton, who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar — Tetragrammaton of hosts is his name:

אם ימשו החקים האלה מלפני נאם יהוה גם זרע ישראל ישבתו מהיות גוי לפני כל הימים
φωνὴ κραυγῆς τῶν ποιμένων καὶ ἀλαλαγμὸς τῶν προβάτων καὶ τῶν κριῶν, ὅτι ὠλέθρευσεν κύριος τὰ βοσκήματα αὐτῶν,
«If these fixed ordersⓘ depart from before me — oracle of the Tetragrammaton — then the offspring of Israel also shall cease to be a nation before me forever».
37
כה אמר יהוה אם ימדו שמים מלמעלה ויחקרו מוסדי ארץ למטה גם אני אמאס בכל זרע ישראל על כל אשר עשו נאם יהוה
καὶ παύσεται τὰ κατάλοιπα τῆς εἰρήνης ἀπὸ προσώπου ὀργῆς θυμοῦ μου.
Thus says the Tetragrammaton: «If the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below can be explored, then I also will reject all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done — oracle of the Tetragrammaton».
38
הנה ימים באים נאם יהוה ונבנתה העיר ליהוה ממגדל חננאל שער הפנה
ἐγκατέλιπεν ὥσπερ λέων κατάλυμα αὐτοῦ, ὅτι ἐγενήθη ἡ γῆ αὐτῶν εἰς ἄβατον ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς μαχαίρας τῆς μεγάλης.
Behold, the days are coming — oracle of the Tetragrammaton — when the city will be rebuilt for the Tetragrammaton, from the Tower of Hananelⓘ to the Corner Gate.
39
ויצא עוד קוה קו המדה נגדו על גבעת גרב ונסב געתה
πῶς κατήλλαξεν; πῶς ἔστρεψεν νῶτον Μωαβ; ᾐσχύνθη καὶ ἐγένετο Μωαβ εἰς γέλωτα καὶ ἐγκότημα πᾶσιν τοῖς κύκλῳ αὐτῆς.
And the measuring lineⓘ will go out farther, straight to the hill of Gareb, and shall then turn to Goah.
40
וכל העמק הפגרים והדשן וכל השרמות השדמות עד נחל קדרון עד פנת שער הסוסים מזרחה קדש ליהוה לא ינתש ולא יהרס עוד לעולם
ὅτι οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος
And the whole valley of the dead bodies and the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holyⓘ to the Tetragrammaton: it shall not be uprooted or overthrown anymore forever.

ὁ φεύγων ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ φόβου ἐμπεσεῖται εἰς τὸν βόθυνον, καὶ ὁ ἀναβαίνων ἐκ τοῦ βοθύνου συλλημφθήσεται ἐν τῇ παγίδι, ὅτι ἐπάξω ταῦτα ἐπὶ Μωαβ ἐν ἐνιαυτῷ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῆς.
