וידבר יהוה אל משה אחרי מות שני בני אהרן בקרבתם לפני יהוה וימתו
Καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν μετὰ τὸ τελευτῆσαι τοὺς δύο υἱοὺς Ααρων ἐν τῷ προσάγειν αὐτοὺς πῦρ ἀλλότριον ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἐτελεύτησαν
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And the Tetragrammaton spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the Tetragrammaton a strange fireⓘ, and they died.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And the Tetragrammaton spoke to Mosheh after the deathⓘ of the two sons of Aharon, when they drew nearⓘ before the Tetragrammaton, and they died.

ויאמר יהוה אל משה דבר אל אהרן אחיך ואל יבא בכל עת אל הקדש מבית לפרכת אל פני הכפרת אשר על הארן ולא ימות כי בענן אראה על הכפרת
καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Λάλησον πρὸς Ααρων τὸν ἀδελφόν σου καὶ μὴ εἰσπορευέσθω πᾶσαν ὥραν εἰς τὸ ἅγιον ἐσώτερον τοῦ καταπετάσματος εἰς πρόσωπον τοῦ ἱλαστηρίου, ὅ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τῆς κιβωτοῦ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ οὐκ ἀποθανεῖται· ἐν γὰρ νεφέλῃ ὀφθήσομαι ἐπὶ τοῦ ἱλαστηρίου.
And the Tetragrammaton said to Mosheh: Speak to Aharon your brother, that he not enter at every timeⓘ into the Holy placeⓘ behind the curtainⓘ, before the mercy seatⓘ that is upon the ark, and let him not dieⓘ; for in the cloud I will appearⓘ upon the mercy seat.

בזאת יבא אהרן אל הקדש בפר בן בקר לחטאת ואיל לעלה
οὕτως εἰσελεύσεται Ααρων εἰς τὸ ἅγιον· ἐν μόσχῳ ἐκ βοῶν περὶ ἁμαρτίας καὶ κριὸν εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα·
With thisⓘ shall Aharon enter into the Holy place: with a young bullⓘ for the sin offeringⓘ and a ram for the burnt offeringⓘ.

כתנת בד קדש ילבש ומכנסי בד יהיו על בשרו ובאבנט בד יחגר ובמצנפת בד יצנף בגדי קדש הם ורחץ במים את בשרו ולבשם
καὶ χιτῶνα λινοῦν ἡγιασμένον ἐνδύσεται, καὶ περισκελὲς λινοῦν ἔσται ἐπὶ τοῦ χρωτὸς αὐτοῦ, καὶ ζώνῃ λινῇ ζώσεται καὶ κίδαριν λινῆν περιθήσεται· ἱμάτια ἅγιά ἐστιν, καὶ λούσεται ὕδατι πᾶν τὸ σῶμα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐνδύσεται αὐτά.
A linen tunicⓘ holy shall he wear, and linen breechesⓘ shall be upon his flesh, and with a linen sashⓘ shall he gird himself, and with a linen turbanⓘ shall he wrap his head: holy garments they areⓘ; and he shall wash his flesh in waterⓘ and shall put them on.

ומאת עדת בני ישראל יקח שני שעירי עזים לחטאת ואיל אחד לעלה
καὶ παρὰ τῆς συναγωγῆς τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ λήμψεται δύο χιμάρους ἐξ αἰγῶν περὶ ἁμαρτίας καὶ κριὸν ἕνα εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα.
And from the communityⓘ of the children of Israel he shall take two goatsⓘ for the sin offering and a ram for the burnt offering.

והקריב אהרן את פר החטאת אשר לו וכפר בעדו ובעד ביתו
καὶ προσάξει Ααρων τὸν μόσχον τὸν περὶ τῆς ἁμαρτίας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐξιλάσεται περὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ.
And he shall offerⓘ Aharon the bull of the sin offering that is his, and he shall make atonementⓘ for himself and for his house.

ולקח את שני השעירם והעמיד אתם לפני יהוה פתח אהל מועד
καὶ λήμψεται τοὺς δύο χιμάρους καὶ στήσει αὐτοὺς ἔναντι κυρίου παρὰ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου·
And he shall take the two goats and set themⓘ before the Tetragrammaton, at the entrance of the Tent of Meetingⓘ.

ונתן אהרן על שני השעירם גורלות גורל אחד ליהוה וגורל אחד לעזאזל
καὶ ἐπιθήσει Ααρων ἐπὶ τοὺς δύο χιμάρους κλῆρον ἕνα τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ κλῆρον ἕνα τῷ ἀποπομπαίῳ.
And Aharon shall cast upon the two goats lotsⓘ: one lot for the Tetragrammatonⓘ and one lot for Azazèlⓘ.

והקריב אהרן את השעיר אשר עלה עליו הגורל ליהוה ועשהו חטאת
καὶ προσάξει Ααρων τὸν χίμαρον, ἐφ’ ὃν ἐπῆλθεν ἐπ’ αὐτὸν ὁ κλῆρος τῷ κυρίῳ, καὶ προσοίσει περὶ ἁμαρτίας·
And Aharon shall offer the goat upon which the lot fellⓘ for the Tetragrammaton, and make of it a sin offeringⓘ.

והשעיר אשר עלה עליו הגורל לעזאזל יעמד חי לפני יהוה לכפר עליו לשלח אתו לעזאזל המדברה
καὶ τὸν χίμαρον, ἐφ’ ὃν ἐπῆλθεν ἐπ’ αὐτὸν ὁ κλῆρος τοῦ ἀποπομπαίου, στήσει αὐτὸν ζῶντα ἔναντι κυρίου τοῦ ἐξιλάσασθαι ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ ὥστε ἀποστεῖλαι αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν ἀποπομπήν· ἀφήσει αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν ἔρημον. –
And the goat upon which the lot fell for Azazèl shall stand aliveⓘ before the Tetragrammaton, to make atonement over itⓘ, in order to send it to Azazèl into the wildernessⓘ.

והקריב אהרן את פר החטאת אשר לו וכפר בעדו ובעד ביתו ושחט את פר החטאת אשר לו
καὶ προσάξει Ααρων τὸν μόσχον τὸν περὶ τῆς ἁμαρτίας τὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ μόνον καὶ ἐξιλάσεται περὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ καὶ σφάξει τὸν μόσχον τὸν περὶ τῆς ἁμαρτίας τὸν αὐτοῦ.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And Aaron shall offer the bull of the sin offering that is his, for himself and for his own house onlyⓘ, and he shall make atonement for himself and for his own house, and he shall slay the bull of the sin offering that is his.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And Aharon shall offer the bull of the sin offering that is his, and shall make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall slayⓘ the bull of the sin offering that is his.

ולקח מלא המחתה גחלי אש מעל המזבח מלפני יהוה ומלא חפניו קטרת סמים דקה והביא מבית לפרכת
καὶ λήμψεται τὸ πυρεῖον πλῆρες ἀνθράκων πυρὸς ἀπὸ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τοῦ ἀπέναντι κυρίου καὶ πλήσει τὰς χεῖρας θυμιάματος συνθέσεως λεπτῆς καὶ εἰσοίσει ἐσώτερον τοῦ καταπετάσματος
And he shall take the censer fullⓘ of burning coalsⓘ from the altar before the Tetragrammaton, and his hands fullⓘ of finely ground aromatic incenseⓘ, and he shall bring them behind the curtain.

ונתן את הקטרת על האש לפני יהוה וכסה ענן הקטרת את הכפרת אשר על העדות ולא ימות
καὶ ἐπιθήσει τὸ θυμίαμα ἐπὶ τὸ πῦρ ἔναντι κυρίου· καὶ καλύψει ἡ ἀτμὶς τοῦ θυμιάματος τὸ ἱλαστήριον τὸ ἐπὶ τῶν μαρτυρίων, καὶ οὐκ ἀποθανεῖται.
And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the Tetragrammaton, and the cloud of the incense shall coverⓘ the mercy seat that is upon the Testimonyⓘ, and let him not dieⓘ.

ולקח מדם הפר והזה באצבעו על פני הכפרת קדמה ולפני הכפרת יזה שבע פעמים מן הדם באצבעו
καὶ λήμψεται ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ μόσχου καὶ ῥανεῖ τῷ δακτύλῳ ἐπὶ τὸ ἱλαστήριον κατὰ ἀνατολάς· κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ ἱλαστηρίου ῥανεῖ ἑπτάκις ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος τῷ δακτύλῳ.
And he shall take of the blood of the bull and sprinkle with his fingerⓘ upon the mercy seat toward the eastⓘ, and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle seven timesⓘ of the blood with his finger.
15
ושחט את שעיר החטאת אשר לעם והביא את דמו אל מבית לפרכת ועשה את דמו כאשר עשה לדם הפר והזה אתו על הכפרת ולפני הכפרת
καὶ σφάξει τὸν χίμαρον τὸν περὶ τῆς ἁμαρτίας τὸν περὶ τοῦ λαοῦ ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ εἰσοίσει ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος αὐτοῦ ἐσώτερον τοῦ καταπετάσματος καὶ ποιήσει τὸ αἷμα αὐτοῦ ὃν τρόπον ἐποίησεν τὸ αἷμα τοῦ μόσχου, καὶ ῥανεῖ τὸ αἷμα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸ ἱλαστήριον κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ ἱλαστηρίου
And he shall slay the goat of the sin offering that is for the peopleⓘ, and shall bring its blood behind the curtain, and shall do with its blood as he didⓘ with the blood of the bull, and shall sprinkle it upon the mercy seat and before the mercy seat.
16
וכפר על הקדש מטמאת בני ישראל ומפשעיהם לכל חטאתם וכן יעשה לאהל מועד השכן אתם בתוך טמאתם
καὶ ἐξιλάσεται τὸ ἅγιον ἀπὸ τῶν ἀκαθαρσιῶν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ἀδικημάτων αὐτῶν περὶ πασῶν τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν αὐτῶν· καὶ οὕτω ποιήσει τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου τῇ ἐκτισμένῃ ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐν μέσῳ τῆς ἀκαθαρσίας αὐτῶν.
And he shall make atonement upon the Holy place from the impuritiesⓘ of the children of Israel and from their transgressionsⓘ for all their sins; and so shall he do for the Tent of Meeting that dwells with themⓘ in the midst of their impurities.
17
וכל אדם לא יהיה באהל מועד בבאו לכפר בקדש עד צאתו וכפר בעדו ובעד ביתו ובעד כל קהל ישראל
καὶ πᾶς ἄνθρωπος οὐκ ἔσται ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου εἰσπορευομένου αὐτοῦ ἐξιλάσασθαι ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ, ἕως ἂν ἐξέλθῃ· καὶ ἐξιλάσεται περὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ καὶ περὶ πάσης συναγωγῆς υἱῶν Ισραηλ.
And no manⓘ shall be in the Tent of Meeting when he enters to make atonement in the Holy place, until his coming out; and he shall make atonement for himself and for his house and for all the assembly of Israelⓘ.
18
ויצא אל המזבח אשר לפני יהוה וכפר עליו ולקח מדם הפר ומדם השעיר ונתן על קרנות המזבח סביב
καὶ ἐξελεύσεται ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ ὂν ἀπέναντι κυρίου καὶ ἐξιλάσεται ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ· καὶ λήμψεται ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ μόσχου καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ χιμάρου καὶ ἐπιθήσει ἐπὶ τὰ κέρατα τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου κύκλῳ
And he shall go out to the altar that is before the Tetragrammaton and shall make atonement upon it; and he shall take of the blood of the bull and of the blood of the goat and put it upon the horns of the altarⓘ round about.
19
והזה עליו מן הדם באצבעו שבע פעמים וטהרו וקדשו מטמאת בני ישראל
καὶ ῥανεῖ ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος τῷ δακτύλῳ ἑπτάκις καὶ καθαριεῖ αὐτὸ καὶ ἁγιάσει αὐτὸ ἀπὸ τῶν ἀκαθαρσιῶν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ.
And he shall sprinkle upon it of the blood with his finger seven times, and cleanse it and sanctify itⓘ from the impurities of the children of Israel.
20
וכלה מכפר את הקדש ואת אהל מועד ואת המזבח והקריב את השעיר החי
καὶ συντελέσει ἐξιλασκόμενος τὸ ἅγιον καὶ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον, καὶ περὶ τῶν ἱερέων καθαριεῖ· καὶ προσάξει τὸν χίμαρον τὸν ζῶντα.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——When he has finished making atonement for the Holy place, the Tent of the Testimony and the altar, he shall purify also for the priestsⓘ; and he shall present the live goat.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And when he has finishedⓘ making atonement upon the Holy place and upon the Tent of Meeting and upon the altar, he shall offer the live goatⓘ.

וסמך אהרן את שתי ידו ידיו על ראש השעיר החי והתודה עליו את כל עונת בני ישראל ואת כל פשעיהם לכל חטאתם ונתן אתם על ראש השעיר ושלח ביד איש עתי המדברה
καὶ ἐπιθήσει Ααρων τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν τοῦ χιμάρου τοῦ ζῶντος καὶ ἐξαγορεύσει ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ πάσας τὰς ἀνομίας τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ πάσας τὰς ἀδικίας αὐτῶν καὶ πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπιθήσει αὐτὰς ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν τοῦ χιμάρου τοῦ ζῶντος καὶ ἐξαποστελεῖ ἐν χειρὶ ἀνθρώπου ἑτοίμου εἰς τὴν ἔρημον·
And he shall layⓘ Aharon his two hands upon the head of the live goat and shall confessⓘ over it all the iniquitiesⓘ of the children of Israel and all their transgressions for all their sins, and shall put them upon the head of the goat, and shall send it by the hand of a ready manⓘ into the wilderness.
22
ונשא השעיר עליו את כל עונתם אל ארץ גזרה ושלח את השעיר במדבר
καὶ λήμψεται ὁ χίμαρος ἐφ’ ἑαυτῷ τὰς ἀδικίας αὐτῶν εἰς γῆν ἄβατον, καὶ ἐξαποστελεῖ τὸν χίμαρον εἰς τὴν ἔρημον.
And the goat shall carry upon itselfⓘ all their iniquities to a severed landⓘ, and he shall send the goat into the wilderness.
23
ובא אהרן אל אהל מועד ופשט את בגדי הבד אשר לבש בבאו אל הקדש והניחם שם
καὶ εἰσελεύσεται Ααρων εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐκδύσεται τὴν στολὴν τὴν λινῆν, ἣν ἐνεδεδύκει εἰσπορευομένου αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ ἅγιον, καὶ ἀποθήσει αὐτὴν ἐκεῖ.
And Aharon shall enter the Tent of Meetingⓘ and shall put offⓘ the linen garments that he had put on when entering the Holy place, and shall leave them thereⓘ.

ורחץ את בשרו במים במקום קדוש ולבש את בגדיו ויצא ועשה את עלתו ואת עלת העם וכפר בעדו ובעד העם
καὶ λούσεται τὸ σῶμα αὐτοῦ ὕδατι ἐν τόπῳ ἁγίῳ καὶ ἐνδύσεται τὴν στολὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐξελθὼν ποιήσει τὸ ὁλοκάρπωμα αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ ὁλοκάρπωμα τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ ἐξιλάσεται περὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ περὶ τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ καὶ περὶ τοῦ λαοῦ ὡς περὶ τῶν ἱερέων.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And he shall wash his own body in water in a holy place, shall put on his garment and, having gone out, shall offer his own burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people, and shall make atonement for himself, for his own houseⓘ and for the people, as for the priestsⓘ.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And he shall wash his flesh in water in a holy placeⓘ and shall put on his garments, and shall go out and make his burnt offeringⓘ and the burnt offering of the people, and shall make atonement for himself and for the people.

ואת חלב החטאת יקטיר המזבחה
καὶ τὸ στέαρ τὸ περὶ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ἀνοίσει ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον.
And the fat of the sin offeringⓘ he shall turn into smoke upon the altarⓘ.
26
והמשלח את השעיר לעזאזל יכבס בגדיו ורחץ את בשרו במים ואחרי כן יבוא אל המחנה
καὶ ὁ ἐξαποστέλλων τὸν χίμαρον τὸν διεσταλμένον εἰς ἄφεσιν πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια καὶ λούσεται τὸ σῶμα αὐτοῦ ὕδατι καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν.
And the one who sendsⓘ the goat to Azazèl shall wash his garmentsⓘ and shall wash his flesh in water, and after this he shall enter the campⓘ.
27
ואת פר החטאת ואת שעיר החטאת אשר הובא את דמם לכפר בקדש יוציא אל מחוץ למחנה ושרפו באש את ערתם ואת בשרם ואת פרשם
καὶ τὸν μόσχον τὸν περὶ τῆς ἁμαρτίας καὶ τὸν χίμαρον τὸν περὶ τῆς ἁμαρτίας, ὧν τὸ αἷμα εἰσηνέχθη ἐξιλάσασθαι ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ, ἐξοίσουσιν αὐτὰ ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς καὶ κατακαύσουσιν αὐτὰ ἐν πυρί, καὶ τὰ δέρματα αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ κρέα αὐτῶν καὶ τὴν κόπρον αὐτῶν·
And the bull of the sin offering and the goat of the sin offering whose blood was broughtⓘ to make atonement in the Holy place, he shall carry them outside the campⓘ, and they shall burn in the fireⓘ their skins and their flesh and their dungⓘ.

והשרף אתם יכבס בגדיו ורחץ את בשרו במים ואחרי כן יבוא אל המחנה
ὁ δὲ κατακαίων αὐτὰ πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια καὶ λούσεται τὸ σῶμα αὐτοῦ ὕδατι καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν.
And he who burns them shall wash his garments and shall wash his flesh in water, and after this he shall enter the camp.
29
והיתה לכם לחקת עולם בחדש השביעי בעשור לחדש תענו את נפשתיכם וכל מלאכה לא תעשו האזרח והגר הגר בתוככם
Καὶ ἔσται τοῦτο ὑμῖν νόμιμον αἰώνιον· ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ δεκάτῃ τοῦ μηνὸς ταπεινώσατε τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμῶν καὶ πᾶν ἔργον οὐ ποιήσετε, ὁ αὐτόχθων καὶ ὁ προσήλυτος ὁ προσκείμενος ἐν ὑμῖν.
And it shall be for you a perpetual statuteⓘ: in the seventh month, on the tenth of the monthⓘ you shall afflict your soulsⓘ and no work shall you doⓘ, the native and the sojournerⓘ who sojourns in your midst.

כי ביום הזה יכפר עליכם לטהר אתכם מכל חטאתיכם לפני יהוה תטהרו
ἐν γὰρ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ ἐξιλάσεται περὶ ὑμῶν καθαρίσαι ὑμᾶς ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ὑμῶν ἔναντι κυρίου, καὶ καθαρισθήσεσθε.
For on this dayⓘ atonement shall be made over you to cleanse youⓘ from all your sins: before the Tetragrammaton you shall be cleanⓘ.
31
שבת שבתון היא לכם ועניתם את נפשתיכם חקת עולם
σάββατα σαββάτων ἀνάπαυσις αὕτη ἔσται ὑμῖν, καὶ ταπεινώσετε τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμῶν, νόμιμον αἰώνιον.
A Sabbath of sabbathsⓘ it is for you, and you shall afflict your souls: a perpetual statute.
32
וכפר הכהן אשר ימשח אתו ואשר ימלא את ידו לכהן תחת אביו ולבש את בגדי הבד בגדי הקדש
ἐξιλάσεται ὁ ἱερεύς, ὃν ἂν χρίσωσιν αὐτὸν καὶ ὃν ἂν τελειώσουσιν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ἱερατεύειν μετὰ τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐνδύσεται τὴν στολὴν τὴν λινῆν, στολὴν ἁγίαν,
And the priest shall make atonement who shall be anointedⓘ and who shall be investedⓘ to serve as priest in place of his fatherⓘ, and shall put on the linen garments, holy garments.
33
וכפר את מקדש הקדש ואת אהל מועד ואת המזבח יכפר ועל הכהנים ועל כל עם הקהל יכפר
καὶ ἐξιλάσεται τὸ ἅγιον τοῦ ἁγίου καὶ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον ἐξιλάσεται καὶ περὶ τῶν ἱερέων καὶ περὶ πάσης συναγωγῆς ἐξιλάσεται.
And he shall make atonement upon the Holy of Holiesⓘ and upon the Tent of Meeting and upon the altar shall he make atonement, and upon the priests and upon all the people of the assemblyⓘ shall he make atonement.

והיתה זאת לכם לחקת עולם לכפר על בני ישראל מכל חטאתם אחת בשנה ויעש כאשר צוה יהוה את משה
καὶ ἔσται τοῦτο ὑμῖν νόμιμον αἰώνιον ἐξιλάσκεσθαι περὶ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν αὐτῶν· ἅπαξ τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ ποιηθήσεται, καθάπερ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.
