וידבר יהוה אל משה במדבר סיני באהל מועד באחד לחדש השני בשנה השנית לצאתם מארץ מצרים לאמר
Καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τῇ Σινα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἐν μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ δευτέρου ἔτους δευτέρου ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου λέγων
And the Tetragrammaton spoke to Mosheh in the wilderness of Sinaiⓘ, in the tent of meetingⓘ, on the first of the second monthⓘ, in the second yearⓘ of their going out from the land of Egypt, saying:

שאו את ראש כל עדת בני ישראל למשפחתם לבית אבתם במספר שמות כל זכר לגלגלתם
Λάβετε ἀρχὴν πάσης συναγωγῆς υἱῶν Ισραηλ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ἐξ ὀνόματος αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πᾶς ἄρσην
Lift up the headⓘ of all the communityⓘ of the children of Israel, according to their familiesⓘ, according to the houses of their fathersⓘ, by the number of names, every male head by headⓘ.

מבן עשרים שנה ומעלה כל יצא צבא בישראל תפקדו אתם לצבאתם אתה ואהרן
ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν δυνάμει Ισραηλ, ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτοὺς σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν, σὺ καὶ Ααρων ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτούς.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——from twenty years old and upward, everyone who goes out to form ranks in the force ⓘ of Israel; review them ⓘ with their host in arms, you and Aaron, review them.—— Masoretic (MT) ——From twenty years old and upwardⓘ, every one going out in the hostⓘ in Israel, you shall review themⓘ according to their hosts, you and Aharòn.

ואתכם יהיו איש איש למטה איש ראש לבית אבתיו הוא
καὶ μεθ’ ὑμῶν ἔσονται ἕκαστος κατὰ φυλὴν ἑκάστου ἀρχόντων, κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν ἔσονται.
And with you there shall be a man for each tribe, a man head of the house of his fathersⓘ.

ואלה שמות האנשים אשר יעמדו אתכם לראובן אליצור בן שדיאור
καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν ἀνδρῶν, οἵτινες παραστήσονται μεθ’ ὑμῶν· τῶν Ρουβην Ελισουρ υἱὸς Σεδιουρ·
And these are the names of the men who shall stand with you: for Reuvèn, Elitzùr son of Shedeùrⓘ.

לשמעון שלמיאל בן צורישדי
τῶν Συμεων Σαλαμιηλ υἱὸς Σουρισαδαι·
For Shimʿòn, Shelumièl son of Tzurishaddàiⓘ.

אלה קריאי קרואי העדה נשיאי מטות אבותם ראשי אלפי ישראל הם
οὗτοι ἐπίκλητοι τῆς συναγωγῆς, ἄρχοντες τῶν φυλῶν κατὰ πατριάς, χιλίαρχοι Ισραηλ εἰσίν.
These are the called onesⓘ of the community, princes of the tribes of their fathersⓘ, heads of the thousands of Israelⓘ they are.

ויקח משה ואהרן את האנשים האלה אשר נקבו בשמות
καὶ ἔλαβεν Μωϋσῆς καὶ Ααρων τοὺς ἄνδρας τούτους τοὺς ἀνακληθέντας ἐξ ὀνόματος
And Mosheh and Aharòn tookⓘ these men who had been designated by nameⓘ.

ואת כל העדה הקהילו באחד לחדש השני ויתילדו על משפחתם לבית אבתם במספר שמות מבן עשרים שנה ומעלה לגלגלתם
καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν συναγωγὴν συνήγαγον ἐν μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ δευτέρου ἔτους καὶ ἐπηξονοῦσαν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν κατὰ πατριὰς αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν,

כאשר צוה יהוה את משה ויפקדם במדבר סיני
ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ· καὶ ἐπεσκέπησαν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τῇ Σινα.
As he had commandedⓘ the Tetragrammaton to Mosheh, so he reviewed them in the wilderness of Sinai.

ויהיו בני ראובן בכר ישראל תולדתם למשפחתם לבית אבתם במספר שמות לגלגלתם כל זכר מבן עשרים שנה ומעלה כל יצא צבא
Καὶ ἐγένοντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην πρωτοτόκου Ισραηλ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,

ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ρουβην ἓξ καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι. –
their reviewed onesⓘ for the tribe of Reuvèn, forty-six thousand five hundredⓘ.

לבני שמעון תולדתם למשפחתם לבית אבתם פקדיו במספר שמות לגלגלתם כל זכר מבן עשרים שנה ומעלה כל יצא צבא
τοῖς υἱοῖς Συμεων κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,

ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ιουδα τέσσαρες καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι. –

אלה הפקדים אשר פקד משה ואהרן ונשיאי ישראל שנים עשר איש איש אחד לבית אבתיו היו
αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις, ἣν ἐπεσκέψαντο Μωϋσῆς καὶ Ααρων καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες Ισραηλ, δώδεκα ἄνδρες· ἀνὴρ εἷς κατὰ φυλὴν μίαν κατὰ φυλὴν οἴκων πατριᾶς ἦσαν.

ויהיו כל פקודי בני ישראל לבית אבתם מבן עשרים שנה ומעלה כל יצא צבא בישראל
καὶ ἐγένετο πᾶσα ἡ ἐπίσκεψις υἱῶν Ισραηλ σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος παρατάξασθαι ἐν Ισραηλ,
And all the counted onesⓘ of the children of Israel according to the houses of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, every one going out in the host in Israel:

ויהיו כל הפקדים שש מאות אלף ושלשת אלפים וחמש מאות וחמשים
ἑξακόσιαι χιλιάδες καὶ τρισχίλιοι καὶ πεντακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα.
and all the reviewed ones were six hundred three thousand five hundred fiftyⓘ.

והלוים למטה אבתם לא התפקדו בתוכם
Οἱ δὲ Λευῖται ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς πατριᾶς αὐτῶν οὐκ ἐπεσκέπησαν ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ.
But the Levitesⓘ, according to the tribe of their fathers, were not reviewed in their midstⓘ.

וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
And the Tetragrammaton spoke to Mosheh, saying:

אך את מטה לוי לא תפקד ואת ראשם לא תשא בתוך בני ישראל
Ὅρα τὴν φυλὴν τὴν Λευι οὐ συνεπισκέψῃ καὶ τὸν ἀριθμὸν αὐτῶν οὐ λήμψῃ ἐν μέσῳ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ.
Onlyⓘ the tribe of Leviⓘ you shall not review, and their head you shall not lift upⓘ in the midst of the children of Israel.
50
ואתה הפקד את הלוים על משכן העדת ועל כל כליו ועל כל אשר לו המה ישאו את המשכן ואת כל כליו והם ישרתהו וסביב למשכן יחנו
καὶ σὺ ἐπίστησον τοὺς Λευίτας ἐπὶ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα, ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ· αὐτοὶ ἀροῦσιν τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς, καὶ αὐτοὶ λειτουργήσουσιν ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς παρεμβαλοῦσιν.
And you, appoint the Levitesⓘ over the Dwelling of the Testimonyⓘ and over all its furnishings and over all that belongs to it: they shall carry the Dwelling and all its furnishings, and they shall serveⓘ it, and around the Dwelling they shall encampⓘ.

ובנסע המשכן יורידו אתו הלוים ובחנת המשכן יקימו אתו הלוים והזר הקרב יומת
καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐξαίρειν τὴν σκηνὴν καθελοῦσιν αὐτὴν οἱ Λευῖται καὶ ἐν τῷ παρεμβάλλειν τὴν σκηνὴν ἀναστήσουσιν· καὶ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς ὁ προσπορευόμενος ἀποθανέτω.
And when the Dwelling sets outⓘ, the Levites shall take it downⓘ, and when the Dwelling encamps, the Levites shall set it up again; and the stranger who draws nearⓘ shall be put to deathⓘ.

וחנו בני ישראל איש על מחנהו ואיש על דגלו לצבאתם
καὶ παρεμβαλοῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἀνὴρ ἐν τῇ ἑαυτοῦ τάξει καὶ ἀνὴρ κατὰ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἡγεμονίαν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν·
And the children of Israel shall encamp, each one by his campⓘ and each one by his standardⓘ, according to their hosts.

והלוים יחנו סביב למשכן העדת ולא יהיה קצף על עדת בני ישראל ושמרו הלוים את משמרת משכן העדות
οἱ δὲ Λευῖται παρεμβαλέτωσαν ἐναντίον κυρίου κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἁμάρτημα ἐν υἱοῖς Ισραηλ. καὶ φυλάξουσιν οἱ Λευῖται αὐτοὶ τὴν φυλακὴν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου.
And the Levites shall encamp around the Dwelling of the Testimonyⓘ, so that there be no wrathⓘ upon the community of the children of Israel; and the Levites shall keep the keepingⓘ of the Dwelling of the Testimony.

ויעשו בני ישראל ככל אשר צוה יהוה את משה כן עשו
καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ κατὰ πάντα, ἃ ἐνετείλατο κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ καὶ Ααρων, οὕτως ἐποίησαν.
