מקץ שבע שנים תעשה שמטה
Δι ἑπτὰ ἐτῶν ποιήσεις ἄφεσιν.
At the end of ⓘ you shall make the ⓘ.

וזה דבר השמטה שמוט כל בעל משה ידו אשר ישה ברעהו לא יגש את רעהו ואת אחיו כי קרא שמטה ליהוה
καὶ οὕτως τὸ πρόσταγμα τῆς ἀφέσεως· ἀφήσεις πᾶν χρέος ἴδιον, ὃ ὀφείλει σοι ὁ πλησίον, καὶ τὸν ἀδελφόν σου οὐκ ἀπαιτήσεις, ὅτι ἐπικέκληται ἄφεσις κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And this is the ordinance of the release: you shall release every ⓘ that your neighbor owes you; you shall not exact it from your brother, because a release to the Tetragrammaton your God has been proclaimed.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And this is the ⓘ: you shall ⓘ every credit that the ⓘ holds against his neighbor: he shall not ⓘ from his neighbor or from his ⓘ, since a ⓘ has been proclaimed.

את הנכרי תגש ואשר יהיה לך את אחיך תשמט ידך
τὸν ἀλλότριον ἀπαιτήσεις ὅσα ἐὰν ᾖ σοι παρ’ αὐτῷ, τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου ἄφεσιν ποιήσεις τοῦ χρέους σου·
From the ⓘ you may exact, but whatever you have with your brother ⓘ.

אפס כי לא יהיה בך אביון כי ברך יברכך יהוה בארץ אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך נחלה לרשתה
ὅτι οὐκ ἔσται ἐν σοὶ ἐνδεής, ὅτι εὐλογῶν εὐλογήσει σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν τῇ γῇ, ᾗ κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι ἐν κλήρῳ κατακληρονομῆσαι αὐτήν,
Yet there shall be among you ⓘ, for ⓘ the Tetragrammaton in the land that the Tetragrammaton your God gives you as an ⓘ.

רק אם שמוע תשמע בקול יהוה אלהיך לשמר לעשות את כל המצוה הזאת אשר אנכי מצוך היום
ἐὰν δὲ ἀκοῇ εἰσακούσητε τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν φυλάσσειν καὶ ποιεῖν πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς ταύτας, ὅσας ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον.
Only if you ⓘ to the voice of the Tetragrammaton your God, keeping and putting into practice ⓘ that I command you today.

כי יהוה אלהיך ברכך כאשר דבר לך והעבטת גוים רבים ואתה לא תעבט ומשלת בגוים רבים ובך לא ימשלו
ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεός σου εὐλόγησέν σε, ὃν τρόπον ἐλάλησέν σοι, καὶ δανιεῖς ἔθνεσιν πολλοῖς, σὺ δὲ οὐ δανιῇ, καὶ ἄρξεις σὺ ἐθνῶν πολλῶν, σοῦ δὲ οὐκ ἄρξουσιν.
For the Tetragrammaton your God has blessed you as he told you, and you shall ⓘ to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall ⓘ over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.

כי יהיה בך אביון מאחד אחיך באחד שעריך בארצך אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך לא תאמץ את לבבך ולא תקפץ את ידך מאחיך האביון
Ἐὰν δὲ γένηται ἐν σοὶ ἐνδεὴς τῶν ἀδελφῶν σου ἐν μιᾷ τῶν πόλεων σου ἐν τῇ γῇ, ᾗ κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι, οὐκ ἀποστέρξεις τὴν καρδίαν σου οὐδ’ οὐ μὴ συσφίγξῃς τὴν χεῖρά σου ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου τοῦ ἐπιδεομένου·
When there is among you a ⓘ, one of your brothers, in ⓘ in your land that the Tetragrammaton your God gives you, do not ⓘ or ⓘ before your poor brother.

כי פתח תפתח את ידך לו והעבט תעביטנו די מחסרו אשר יחסר לו
ἀνοίγων ἀνοίξεις τὰς χεῖράς σου αὐτῷ, δάνειον δανιεῖς αὐτῷ ὅσον ἐπιδέεται, καθ’ ὅσον ἐνδεεῖται.
Rather you shall ⓘ your hand to him, and you shall ⓘ enough for his ⓘ in whatever he lacks.

השמר לך פן יהיה דבר עם לבבך בליעל לאמר קרבה שנת השבע שנת השמטה ורעה עינך באחיך האביון ולא תתן לו וקרא עליך אל יהוה והיה בך חטא
πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ μὴ γένηται ῥῆμα κρυπτὸν ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου, ἀνόμημα, λέγων Ἐγγίζει τὸ ἔτος τὸ ἕβδομον, ἔτος τῆς ἀφέσεως, καὶ πονηρεύσηται ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου τῷ ἀδελφῷ σου τῷ ἐπιδεομένῳ, καὶ οὐ δώσεις αὐτῷ, καὶ βοήσεται κατὰ σοῦ πρὸς κύριον, καὶ ἔσται ἐν σοὶ ἁμαρτία μεγάλη.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——Take heed to yourself, that no hidden word arise in your heart, ⓘ, saying: «The seventh year draws near, the year of release», so that your eye becomes evil toward your needy brother and you give him nothing; and he would cry out against you to the Tetragrammaton, and there would be in you a great sin.—— Masoretic (MT) ——ⓘ that no ⓘ word arise in your heart, saying: «The ⓘ draws near», and so your ⓘ toward your poor brother and you give him nothing; and he ⓘ against you to the Tetragrammaton, and in you there will be ⓘ.

נתון תתן לו ולא ירע לבבך בתתך לו כי בגלל הדבר הזה יברכך יהוה אלהיך בכל מעשך ובכל משלח ידך
διδοὺς δώσεις αὐτῷ καὶ δάνειον δανιεῖς αὐτῷ ὅσον ἐπιδέεται, καὶ οὐ λυπηθήσῃ τῇ καρδίᾳ σου διδόντος σου αὐτῷ· ὅτι διὰ τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο εὐλογήσει σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔργοις καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν, οὗ ἂν ἐπιβάλῃς τὴν χεῖρά σου.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——Giving, you shall give to him, and ⓘ, and let your heart not be grieved when you give to him: for on account of this word the Tetragrammaton your God will bless you in all your work and in everything to which you set your hand.—— Masoretic (MT) ——ⓘ to him, and let your heart not be ⓘ when you give to him, since ⓘ the Tetragrammaton your God will bless you in all your work and in every ⓘ.

כי לא יחדל אביון מקרב הארץ על כן אנכי מצוך לאמר פתח תפתח את ידך לאחיך לעניך ולאבינך בארצך
οὐ γὰρ μὴ ἐκλίπῃ ἐνδεὴς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς· διὰ τοῦτο ἐγώ σοι ἐντέλλομαι ποιεῖν τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο λέγων Ἀνοίγων ἀνοίξεις τὰς χεῖράς σου τῷ ἀδελφῷ σου τῷ πένητι καὶ τῷ ἐπιδεομένῳ τῷ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς σου.
For ⓘ from the midst of the land, therefore I command you, saying: «ⓘ your hand to your brother, to your ⓘ in your land».

כי ימכר לך אחיך העברי או העבריה ועבדך שש שנים ובשנה השביעת תשלחנו חפשי מעמך
Ἐὰν δὲ πραθῇ σοι ὁ ἀδελφός σου ὁ Εβραῖος ἢ ἡ Εβραία, δουλεύσει σοι ἓξ ἔτη, καὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ ἐξαποστελεῖς αὐτὸν ἐλεύθερον ἀπὸ σοῦ.
When your ⓘ or the Hebrew woman is sold to you, and has served you six years, in the ⓘ you shall send him ⓘ away from you.

וכי תשלחנו חפשי מעמך לא תשלחנו ריקם
ὅταν δὲ ἐξαποστέλλῃς αὐτὸν ἐλεύθερον ἀπὸ σοῦ, οὐκ ἐξαποστελεῖς αὐτὸν κενόν·
And when you send him free away from you, you shall not send him ⓘ.

העניק תעניק לו מצאנך ומגרנך ומיקבך אשר ברכך יהוה אלהיך תתן לו
ἐφόδιον ἐφοδιάσεις αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τῶν προβάτων σου καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ σίτου σου καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς ληνοῦ σου· καθὰ εὐλόγησέν σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου, δώσεις αὐτῷ.
ⓘ him from your ⓘ, of that wherein the Tetragrammaton your God has blessed you, you shall give to him.
15
וזכרת כי עבד היית בארץ מצרים ויפדך יהוה אלהיך על כן אנכי מצוך את הדבר הזה היום
καὶ μνησθήσῃ ὅτι οἰκέτης ἦσθα ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐλυτρώσατό σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐκεῖθεν· διὰ τοῦτο ἐγώ σοι ἐντέλλομαι ποιεῖν τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο.
And you shall ⓘ that you were a ⓘ in the land of Egypt, and the Tetragrammaton your God ⓘ you; therefore I command you this thing today.

והיה כי יאמר אליך לא אצא מעמך כי אהבך ואת ביתך כי טוב לו עמך
ἐὰν δὲ λέγῃ πρὸς σέ Οὐκ ἐξελεύσομαι ἀπὸ σοῦ, ὅτι ἠγάπηκέν σε καὶ τὴν οἰκίαν σου, ὅτι εὖ αὐτῷ ἐστιν παρὰ σοί,
And it shall be that, if he says to you: «I will not go out from you», because ⓘ you and your house, because he is ⓘ,
17
ולקחת את המרצע ונתתה באזנו ובדלת והיה לך עבד עולם ואף לאמתך תעשה כן
καὶ λήμψῃ τὸ ὀπήτιον καὶ τρυπήσεις τὸ ὠτίον αὐτοῦ πρὸς τὴν θύραν, καὶ ἔσται σοι οἰκέτης εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα· καὶ τὴν παιδίσκην σου ποιήσεις ὡσαύτως.
then you shall take the ⓘ and drive it through his ear and into the ⓘ, and he shall be your ⓘ; and to your ⓘ you shall do likewise.

לא יקשה בעינך בשלחך אתו חפשי מעמך כי משנה שכר שכיר עבדך שש שנים וברכך יהוה אלהיך בכל אשר תעשה
οὐ σκληρὸν ἔσται ἐναντίον σου ἐξαποστελλομένων αὐτῶν ἐλευθέρων ἀπὸ σοῦ, ὅτι ἐφέτιον μισθὸν τοῦ μισθωτοῦ ἐδούλευσέν σοι ἓξ ἔτη· καὶ εὐλογήσει σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν πᾶσιν, οἷς ἐὰν ποιῇς.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——Let it not seem hard in your eyes to let them go free from you, for he has served you six years for ⓘ of a hired laborer; and the Tetragrammaton your God will bless you in everything you do.—— Masoretic (MT) ——Let it not be ⓘ to send him free away from you, since he has served you for six years for ⓘ, and the Tetragrammaton your God will bless you in all that you do.

כל הבכור אשר יולד בבקרך ובצאנך הזכר תקדיש ליהוה אלהיך לא תעבד בבכר שורך ולא תגז בכור צאנך
Πᾶν πρωτότοκον, ὃ ἐὰν τεχθῇ ἐν τοῖς βουσίν σου καὶ ἐν τοῖς προβάτοις σου, τὰ ἀρσενικά, ἁγιάσεις κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου· οὐκ ἐργᾷ ἐν τῷ πρωτοτόκῳ μόσχῳ σου καὶ οὐ μὴ κείρῃς τὸ πρωτότοκον τῶν προβάτων σου·
Every male ⓘ that is born in your herd and in your flock you shall ⓘ to the Tetragrammaton your God; you shall not ⓘ or ⓘ.
20
לפני יהוה אלהיך תאכלנו שנה בשנה במקום אשר יבחר יהוה אתה וביתך
ἔναντι κυρίου φάγῃ αὐτὸ ἐνιαυτὸν ἐξ ἐνιαυτοῦ ἐν τῷ τόπῳ, ᾧ ἐὰν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου, σὺ καὶ ὁ οἶκός σου.
ⓘ your God you shall eat it ⓘ, in the ⓘ, you and your house.
21
וכי יהיה בו מום פסח או עור כל מום רע לא תזבחנו ליהוה אלהיך
ἐὰν δὲ ᾖ ἐν αὐτῷ μῶμος, χωλὸν ἢ τυφλὸν ἢ καὶ πᾶς μῶμος πονηρός, οὐ θύσεις αὐτὸ κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου·
And when there is in it a ⓘ, lame or blind, ⓘ, you shall not ⓘ it to the Tetragrammaton your God.
22
בשעריך תאכלנו הטמא והטהור יחדו כצבי וכאיל
ἐν ταῖς πόλεσίν σου φάγῃ αὐτό, ὁ ἀκάθαρτος ἐν σοὶ καὶ ὁ καθαρὸς ὡσαύτως ἔδεται ὡς δορκάδα ἢ ἔλαφον·
ⓘ you shall eat it, the ⓘ alike, as is done with the ⓘ.
23
רק את דמו לא תאכל על הארץ תשפכנו כמים
πλὴν τὸ αἷμα οὐ φάγεσθε, ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἐκχεεῖς αὐτὸ ὡς ὕδωρ.
Only its ⓘ you shall not eat: ⓘ.
